So I've been looking to buy a second shield because 2 is one and I carry my original shield 9mm everywhere (including on long runs in the rain). I loved that it was cheap, light, and reliable. It helps that I shoot it very well. Now I'm eyeing the shield plus but hesitating because they changed the trigger and cause I think they are still a bit too pricey ($400) for a gun im going to beat the tar out of. Do I buy an old original shield or go for the plus? Is it really better than my old $250 shield? Does anyone own and shoot both? Thoughts?

After twenty years of wanting to try one, I got a Gen 4 Glock 30 for Father’s Day this year.. and I love it! Yes, it’s not a 9mm, and it’s fat as hell. It only holds ten rounds, and yes, 45acp costs too much. And, true, now that you mention it, the trigger is nothing special, the sights belong on an airsoft gun, and I could care less about throwing on a red dot, or getting it comped or ported.. but maaaan is this chunky monkey a shooter! I haven’t owned any gun chambered in 45acp, or any Glock, in years, but I’ve got 250 RDS through this G30 over two range sessions, and it is just so much fun to shoot for some reason. Recoil is pleasant, and the fat grip almost seems to help my trigger press be cleaner. I went ahead and ordered some Trijicon HD sights, extra mags, and a good kydex IWB holster to work this chubby fella into my carry rotation. I know it’s not a trendy carry option in 2025, for some valid reasons, but this baby is staying in my collection!

Afternoon y'all Looking at getting my EDC pistol before I purchase my fun gun in a few months or so. Currently looking at a Taurus G3c as it seems to check off most of what my criteria are. Y'all have any experience with this model or possible advice? This would be my primary everyday carry, especially due to its size.

Slight change of plans on my carry pistol since companies apparently require payment for their firearms...who knew?? LOL... I will be getting a subcompact 9mm striker-fired pistol for EDC, and will be revisiting this discussion in a few months or so. I greatly appreciate (most) all of the responses back and have quite a lot of info and knowledge to process when I do finally pull the trigger on the 1911.

Prism scope with 5x magnifier, upgraded take down pins and lower parts, and a soon to be upgraded grip will all be donning my gal very soon. Found a shooting park near me that I cannot wait to take her to so she can sing as loudly as she desires. Magpul bipod is on her now and ready for some bench action. I have to admit, the stock trigger is not what I expected...it is SOOOOO much better !!

Account Registration & Benefactor Problems
Fast Jimmy replied to Fast Jimmy's topic in Feedback and Support
How about fixing mine while you're at it. It's been over two weeks and still no resolution for a problem that I had that was apparently resolved for someone who had the same problem AFTER I did and posted for help about it! -

I don't know why it says I am new. I have been on here for years. I just don't do much other than looking. Oh well.

I got a Ruger SP 101 with a 4" barrel if that might work. Has the box & all the stuff that came from the factory. Also have a black leather basket stamped holster that I made for it, as that is what I do. I don't know why it says I am new. I have been on here for years. I just don't do much other than looking.
