  1. Johnny Rotten,  Awesome username Man!   Thanks for the Link to Ares defense, I have not seen their site in quite some time? That is a different looking side charger & I suppose the charging Handle flips Up & out of the way so it won't reciprocate while under fire??     I'm not a Big Social media Type, but if you want to check them out on their Facebook page just Google Holland Automatic Rifles on Facebook. Once there you can even look at the Patents John has on this Upper & they are cool if you are Mechanical kind of Guy...   It may even have the Patents on his New Piston System too??
  2. Holland Automatic Rifles will be focusing on Custom Piston Driven Uppers that will cost a Pretty Penny, like LWRC, upwards of POF & stuff that I can't afford!! But right Now they are selling these Billet uppers to Joe public like Me, so I am going to have at least 3 of these Uppers before they go away..   The Upper in the picture that Dolomite Posted is a earlier version Gen 1, I guess? This is a Newer version or 2nd Generation of this Billet Upper, after a few months it was changed to have a Weaver Top Rail for Other Types of Optic Options, and a "U" Shaped Dip in the Upper Top Receiver to Give it added support.    This reminds me of the LWRC R.E.A.P.E.R. and I personally like that too, but the way it Runs & Operates is what Sold my Sorry Aspirin eaten self!!!   But thats just me, and that's why I wanted to let others know about it while its around...   I've already sold my other side chargers, except for 2 & they way very well go too??
  3. I am still having trouble with the pictures, but the link worked on another computer.  :squint: That was way to difficult for some reason Nothing wanted to work?   George, Thanks for the acknowledgment my friend    Dolo, Answers;    This Billet Upper takes a Mil Spec Bolt Carrier, with 1 Short 1/8" OD slot cut into the carrier for the Charging Handle / FA to Engage. I've cut them with a primal tool on an ASA before, but it was Hard Chrome not Melonite Coated though? That could be a little different?   1 Complete Upper with a Bolt Carrier, Minus the Bolt is $485.00    The side charging handle is Not a Reciprocating Handle. It stays in the Forward position when firing, and only moves when you pull it back to chamber the 1st round of a Mag when loading. The Handle is Also a F/A, press it down towards the carrier & it locks into the carrier ( Notch that is cut ) and you press the Handle forward. It's Good & 10,000X better than ASA that doesn't have anything to offer like that! I personally like the way the entire upper was Designed, you Never have to take your eye off the target, finger off the Trigger (so to speak) Even if you had to cycle another round?     I'm not familiar with the New Frontier Armory side charger? Is that a plastic or Carbon stuff? I had 1 of their Lowers that Broke so personally I'm done with anything other than aluminum for now anyway. I will check them out though, because I thought that I had tried them all, but these must be fairly new!
  4. Thanks Dolo, I am still having trouble just getting 5 pictures uploaded? I think its this new ios8 that has me so messed up! Price for 1 HAR Billet Side Charging Non Reciprocating Upper with Forward Assist, including a Carrier with No Bolt, is $475.00 to your Door! If you would like to buy a HAR Upper Receiver, but have a Carrier of your own that you would like to Use, the price is $375.00 . Just send the Carrier to Holland Automatic Rifles and they will Mill the 2 small 1/8" OD Slots in the appropriate locations, then Bead-blast the slots on a Chrome or NiBX Carrier. And Spot Blue Milled Slots in a steel Carrier and ship it back to you with your New HAR Side Charging Upper!!! This HAR Side Charging Upper is Perfect for any and All Applications!!! Holland Automatic Rifles has a Discount that will be Good for the Rest of this Year, in Honor of Veterans! Any vet that orders this year will get a 25% discount. Non vets 10%. Promotion offer, one time only!!!! All HAR services and products. Holland will also be getting back into the 1911 scene. Just a Side Note from John; Any posing vets will be visited by men in black at 0 dark 30!!!!!
  5. Hello, I have wanted everyone to see this New BIllet Upper that I have been trying out, it was Designed basically after the FN FNAL. This side charging upper is the Best & Only Model that actually has a Forward Assist Built into the charging handle! I have Run several thousand Rounds thru it with No issues, and I personally Love this Rig!! If anyone is interested in trying it out, maybe we can have a Get together in a few different places so anyone that prefers a Side Charging AR, can try this out? This came from Holland Automatic Rifles and I've given it an Extensive test Run, and I'm in love with this darn thing! Let me know if anyone is interested? Thanks Eric Having trouble posting pictures? I'll get them up as soon as I can today.   I Sure hope this works now.   <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s816.photobucket.com/user/toorealforthis/embed/slideshow/1st%20Holland%20Automatic%20Rifle"></iframe>
  6. If I'm not mistaken, I can Reserve the Entire Range for 1 Day, that would Guarantee We would have plenty of Room and Nobody else (or Member) would be shooting a 30-06 or 9mm Handgun while we are Testing Suppressors!? If you Guy's would like me to Check the Calendar for a few Open Dates, I'd be more than Happy to do that? There are several other Members here on TGO that are also Members of the Davidson County Sportsmans Club like me! Big Dave our Handy Dandy Ammo pieces, parts & Particulate Distributer is also a Member of the Davidson County Sportsmans Club, I believe, Unless I am mistaken? I know that He & his Daughter have a Busy & Non Stop Schedule. The Range is 200 Yards Long & Cut into a Hill Side, I am going to attempt to post a picture of the Range from the Shooting Bench, and another from the 200 Yard mark where the Steel Targets are located & Looking back at the shooting Benches! It is Located just off of Eaton's Creek Road & the HWY 12 & Briley Parkway Intersection. Everyone would have to abide by the DCSC Range Rules, and I am pretty sure Reserving the Range for a weekday would be Easy!? Weekends would most likely be out of the question?! I'm Going to try to Post the pictures from my Laptop, I'm not able to get anywhere with my iphone!?!
  7. Hello, This is to the Original Member that posted this question, wanting to try shooting the Suppressor First before Buying one? And 173rdABN, WDave and anyone else that may want to attend depending on the amount of people interested? Week days are the Best for a quiet range without many shooters, especially if we want the Range to ourselves to test suppressor sound from different manufacturers. As a member I can take 2 Guests with me to the Range at any given time. If there are more than 2 people that want to go, I will have to get approval for that day? Never done that before, so I don't really know if it'd be a problem or not, but I'm willing to give it a try! The Gun Range is about 3 miles from Briley Parkway & the HWY 12 Exit in the West Nashville & Joelton area. Lit is a private Range fenced off from public access. There are 6 or more shooting Tables with 1 stool per. Covered area has a concrete slab & Ceiling fans to cool you off, if it's Not too Hot! The Range is 200+ Yards Long with several steel targets at 200 Yards & a few more at Maybe 150 yards & 75? There are places for paper Targets at 50, 100, 200 & 210 or 220 Yards. There are Smaller stands available to place at any Distance for pistol shooting. It's a really nice place and I go quite regular, because I Love to shoot! Let me know if you all are interested? Eric
  8. Hello, I was not able to Log into the TGO Website Last Month at all! Then I finally Gained access again for a very short time before it began showing me as a Regestered But ( Non Paying Member), it shows Me as a Non-paying Member and Not a Benefactor? Is there Anyone that can Help me Resolve this Situation, so I can have Access & be a Benefactor Status Back too, Please? I Renewed my Membership back in March when I received the Invoice, see Copy from payPal Below. --edited to remove transactional data--- If there's a problem with this transaction, you can attempt to resolve it directly with the seller by reporting it in the Resolution Center within 45 days of the transaction.
  9. Every now and then when I go to Wal-Mart I will go to the Sporting Goods Department & check out what ammo they have in stock? Last week I went to 2 different stores to pickup some items for some elderly family members & checked out the Ammo, each store had Ammo Cans of 9mm FMJ 1200 Rounds for $497.00 !!! I Gasped in Horror thinking if they are raising prices that much, I'll have to start shooting on Special Occasions Only!!! They also had a few Ammo Cans of 556 Ammo, and if IIRC it was 420 rounds of 55 Grain FMJ for $197.00 which I thought was way to Expensive? About 4 weeks ago I bought 420 Rounds of 62 Grain Green Tip, in an Ammo Can on Stripper Clips for $175.00 delivered..   There is a guy that works in that department & every now & then I will see him & ask if they got any 22 ammo in that day? Several times he has told me sure, but the same men came in & bought it all that morning!!!  Then he asks me if I wanted any, and I said if I would have been here I would have got some for sure!! That's when he would start complaining about those Greedy (Sum Biscuits) that buy it out every day.. Then He pulls out a Brick or Bulk Pack of 22 Bullets and Drops it on the counter and says "I Hate those Guys" I can Only sell you 1 of these today, but you are getting one & that's a Good thing.. And I like Nothing Better than putting back a few Bricks of 22 Bullets for Customers that really use it like You!!!   He said the other guys have a route they drive everyday Hitting Every Wal-Mart from Hendersonville to the Franklin SpringHill area?     I thought the money making days were over buying it at Wal-Mart & selling it online? I guess I was wrong?
  10. I have never used or installed a GunTec Brand Free Float Hand-guard, and I searched for one to see what it was. If I was looking at the correct Hand-guard it is a Quad Rail that appears mount on the Factory Barrel Nut. It appears to be a 2 piece set, with a Top & Bottom section, I'm guessing because there were No instructions or info about the Rails. Typically the less expensive Rails (Do Not) come with a Proprietary Barrel Nut (Because that costs extra money). So they mount on the Factory Barrel Nut. One section will go on the Top & one on the Bottom, with either 2 to 6 screws securing the Rails together from the bottom Holding them tightly to the Barrel Nut. Allowing the Rail to Free Float from being secured to the Barrel Nut. I found several different Models of the GunTec Rails selling from $35.00 up to $55.00 maximum. If you call the vender of the rails I'm sure they can answer all of your questions. Good Luck with your makeover.
  11. It looks like things are loosening up a little? I sure hope ssome Nut kmdoesn't go on another Crazy Rampage, causing people to panic and the Government too start another possible Ban on our civil Liberties and Drive the price out the roof again? You just Never know when something like that is going to happen again! Ok, here IS your tip, Primaryarms.com has a sale going on until the end of the Day on April 30th, or until they run our of stock? Which ever hits first! CMT tactice has been getting semi regular shipmnets lately, and you really have to be watching when they get them in our Thanks for all of good tips on finding parts.
  12. I didn't read every post but I wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth, just to help you make up your mind. I've got the 3 X 30, I bought it New a few years ago when they first came out with the little Acog. I absolutely Love that Acog, it works Great with Night Vision Optics and it's just the right size to carry in the Rifle case if you aren't planning on using it, it will fit in a small place and doesn't take up any room at all. The reticle is Perfect for getting a dead on shot at 100 yards+ and if I'm not mistaken you actually have a longer eye relief than most other small Acogs?! I use mine on my 300 Blackout, with subsonic and Supersonic loads, and when you get use to the bullet drop when shooting suppressed subsonic loads that thing is Dead on every time! I sometimes take it off and put it on my 556 & it works just as good on that rifle on that rifle too. Good luck
  13. PS, On Target had some PMC 223 Ammo last week for about $10.00 per Box, but I think there was a 3 Box per customer Limit? It shoots Great
  14. Neither am I, but that info was for anyone that really needed to get stocked up! Since I couldn't sleep last night, I drive to Wal-Mart just to see what the ammo situation was like at that time of the morning? They didn't get a shipment in last night and the shelves were as bare as a Babies Bottom! There were several scalpers that came through and they were very disappointed, that made me feel Better & the Manager of the Sporting Goods Department felt the same way to the check out and pay fir then:-). The Assistantyou Only have a 15 Minute time limit to get th store Manager did come by and told me that 9mm & 22 Long Rifle is their Best seller & those calibers are requested more than another calibers. He also explained that the stores outside the City Limits will get More Ammunition than the stores in Metro since they don't sell firearms anymore. And everything is fine because he is going to buy some S&B 9mm Ammunition from me ;-) So, you'll just be real darn lucky even if you Do Go to Wally World at 7: am inside the City Limits, unless you just Happen to meet a store Manager and they will let you know when they get some in stock the night before, and they call you and let you know what they got the night before they put it out on the floor to be sold. =-O I've been having a Lot of Luck buying bullets and parts by signing up to get Notifications sent to the email that goes right to my cell phone. And as soon as I get the Notification that a part is in stock, I'll click on the Link and that takes me directly to the online store and to the part that I need. If it's a Lower Receiver I'll add it to my cart and immediately check out, because if you don't somebody else can put it in their cart and check out before you get through the Checkout part. Not to change the subject, but I see Mr. David is in the Room, so I need to ask him a question :-) I need some .50 Caliber Beowulf Ammunition, do you have any that you can sell David? I built a carbine in that lil ole Caliber and I need some Bullets that'll fit it? Help me David, ole Buddy of mine.? Pal ;-) If you do happen to have any,I would be much obliged if you would let me Buy it from you, David? I need some Bullets and Powder too. Thanks Eric AKA; The Thorn in your foot, or the pain in your, you know what I mean. Eric
  15. If anyone has any 50 Caliber Beowulf Ammo and could sell a Box or 2, I'm in the Market for enough to try out my new Upper I just put together, and I may have something that you would rather trade for if you have some spare Bullets. Or if you know of a place that stocks it other than Alexander Arms, Please let me know? I've had Zero Luck finding any anywhere! If I like the upper and decide to keep it, I'll be loading for it after I get to try it out. Have a Great Day. No sleep, but I'm off to Wally World, Hope I make it in time? See Ya
  16. If anyone wants to buy ammo at Wal-Mart & find it there at Wall-Mart prices, plan on being there at 7: am In the morning! That is is when they begin selling it everyday and Don't be Late because there will be Scalpers there too just wanting to buy it and Resell it Online at a 400% Markup, so you may want to get there at 6:45 a.m. before those Yahoo's even get there! If you don't find what you are wanting ( I'm sure you still find something) just go back the next morning. If you are Fortunate enough to have 2 Wally World Close together, stop at the otherone when you leave the First store. Don't get discouraged if you don't see anything in the ammo case when you get there! Because they keep it Locked Up in a Office when it comes in, and stays Locked up until Just before they get ready to sell it the Next Day, and then they put it out. So get there early And if you see any Scalpers ahead of you, drop a $5 Bill about 30 feet away from the gun case and just ask them if that's their 5 Dollar Bill in the floor & Chances are they'll go for it and that's when you get in front of the case, or go find the guy working in Sporting Goods! Don't be a Scalper and just buy it to resell, unless you have Starving Kids at home, then it'd be OK. Otherwise I would be Really Disappointed in your lack of character & send my pet Field Mouse over to live in your car for the winter ;-)
  17. I had 2 Barrels threaded by Brad at LRP in Andersonville, he did a Great job at a very reasonable price. He made it look so easy, while I stood there watching him do his magic, I really wanted to find an old Lathe and try it myself! (it's not that easy ) His suppressors are pretty darn good too, especially my 9mm can that works Great on my 300 Blackout too.. I sure do love that suppressor and when he told me it would work on an AR chambered in the 300 AAC Blackout, I had to build one really quick before I went to pick my 2 suppressors up. I really like having a can that you can use on multiple calibers, pistols and rifles too. I'm still new to the suppressor world, but I absolutely Love it, no more ear plugs for me . Now I would like to have one of the Thompson Machine cans that will work on any 30 caliber, 5.56, 6.5 Grendel and several other calibers too.
  18. Hello, I have a MacBook Pro, and I have left positive feedback for other members but it doesn't show up? I'm not getting the positive feedback that members are leaving me either? When I look under feedback left for me by other members, it only shows 1 and I should have about 20 or more positive feedback ratings left for me & left by me for other members?? Could this be a Mac issue?? I have been using Safari but am now trying FireFox to see if that makes a difference.. Thanks and any help would be Greatly appreciated.. I love this site and want everything to work correctly for me when I'm using it.

  20. The gun show at the Nashville fairgrounds had 2 vendors selling it at the last show, the price was fair & you'd save on shipping. The next gunshow is next weekend 11-5 & 11-6, it's Saturday & Sunday if my dates are wrong.
  21. Mike, Send me a pm, I have a great source but they aren't local.
  22. If you guys want to see some really nice & expensive blades, go to Horizon Bladeworks - Automatic Knives Switchblade Knife Sales. Microtech knives Protech knife Benchmade automatic and otf knives. Italian switchblade stiletto and OTF knives in stock. its a Huge site & takes a lot to load on a phone so try it on the puter. PS, there may be a - between nic nac , I don't remember. Good USA knives & from other Countries too. See ya
  23. Today I was in a gun-shop in Mt Juliet, Tn. and overheard the owner talking to another man that owns a gun shop in Nashville. The Nashville owner was telling the other guy there was going to be a really big jump on the price of copper because so much has been shipped overseas. Along with the military needing a lot of it to fight the (Not Wars) that we have been in for so many YEARS now!!! He said you could expect to see a pretty good jump around Mid April or the 1st of May... I wish now that I would have picked up a lot more riffle brass before I left that store...
  24. I'm looking at 1 at www.alexanderarms.com for $ 45.00 it's the small one but they make good stuff. It may be $55.00 but regardless it's nice.
