  1. Personally, the G19 fits my hand very well while the G26 does not, YMMV. A friend of mine who is very tall carries a G27 in front blue jeans (!) pocket as a backup.
  2. You'll see the occasional "pinto" S&W on Gunbroker. They are collector's items, assuming they are original and not a replacement cylinder fitted to the gun.
  3. Caster, I won a new one in a raffle that started life as a Blackwater model and had been worked over by XS Systems: has Nordic extension to make it 8+1, Nordic charging handle, been threaded for chokes includes one Briley extended, C-Rum lifter and opened for easier shell loading. Has XS express sights with tritium front. I haven't shot it but the XS guy said they zeroed it at 100 yards with Rem low recoil slugs and it ran flawless. I'm sticking with my SLP so don't have whole lotta use for it. Let me know if you might be interested.
  4. If you still have a mil ID (retired or active) you qualify for mil/LE Glock program and can get one for ~$450 depending on model. Night sights will add to cost.
  5. Mid South Shooters Supply is at Exit 11 on I-24. You just phone in order and they put it together for pick up.
  6. nrgeek, I have several repro BP shotguns as well as original. PM if interested and what features you'd want and price range; we might find a meeting point.
  7. Brandon, let me know if you need help exterminating them down your way! Wife's outta town, so I've got my 9yo this weekend.
  8. Henry county has a variety of events. www.henrycountygunclub.com
  9. Nope, just correctly assemble per the schematic. Unless it's one of the special purpose ones set up for heavy loads, field and target grades should all shoot dove loads fine.
  10. When I carry mine it's with the short factory mag pad and in a pocket holster. That's with skinny pockets; bigger pockets or heavier clothes usually means bigger gun getting carried.
  11. Is it possible you've been riding the slide with your thumb? That can make problems like above worse.
  12. That is true, but you will want to thoroughly scrub chambers before shooting the longer cases again. Crud build up could interfere with chambering/extraction or even cause higher pressures depending on the tolerances of your gun. Owners manal may address the issue.
  13. I can bring it. 4" OK? I think I have an 002 Safariland as well for 6".
  14. Mike, which match? I have a holster for a 4" N frame, right handed.
  15. Mike, which match? I have a holster for a 4" N frame, right handed.
  16. I've had Giraud for several years. Mostly for 5.56, but have .308 conversion. Ther conversion is actually pretty quick. It also holds it's adjustment so you don't have to readjust after you switch. Giraud will custom make shellholders if you want something other than standard target calibers. If anyone is in Clarksville area and wants to see how Giraud works just give me a shout.
  17. A small amount of lanolin smeared on the fingers which are then run through the cases before they go into the casefeeder has the same effect. Less effort required to pull the handle and I feel it smooths out the cycle of the press. There's so little lube on the loaded rounds you can shoot them as is or tumble them if you like squeeky clean and dry ammo.
  18. Got a 10" Hornet barrel, no recoil but surprisingly loud Also a 14" 41 Magnum that I've wanted to hunt deer with but haven't made it yet. 210 grainers do 1700 fps easy. And the old 357/Hotshot barrel with removable choke for shot loads.
  19. I got mine as Magtech loaded ammo, $5 (!) a box at a rod and gun club in Germany.
  20. My understanding is that 357 Sig bullets have a longer bearing surface than standard 9mm bullets. Montana Gold specifically lists a bullet for 357 Sig. Good Luck!
  21. I am set up to load 32 S&W Long. You're welcome to come use it, but you're in Oregon? Otherwise you could get a set of Lee carbide 32 dies and one of those small $20 presses. They might not be great for full length rifle sizing but should be OK for the 32.
  22. You could buy the cheapest set of checkered grips available and sand them down till you get something with the amount of traction you want. Might not look great but would give you an idea of what would work best for you at little investment. IIRC, someone used to offer grips with intentionally flat diamonds. Another option would be dimpled "golf ball" grips. 1911 AUTO GOLFBALL PATTERN G10 GRIPS - Brownells
  23. I never cared for the feel of the cutout for the grip safety on the XD, it was a minor irritant in the web of the hand. I have both M&P 9compact and Pro. I like both but could part with one if price right. Please PM if intersted in either.
