  1. An executive order for all the records of firearms bought from December 2012 thru to the ban would catch all the people who stocked up on ARs, and the liberals might justify it saying they were taking "panic bought firearms" off the street.  They may even erroneously claim mistakes were made because the gun check system was overwhelmed and all these weapons need to be rechecked, which might take years.      Yeah, I might be reaching for the tin foil, but just sayin.
  2. Hey in another month or so you could sell 2 of those and buy yourself a new car.
  3. Very nice toys in this thread. I don't have a lot to contribute... 08 Chevy Cobalt XFE Mostly modded for high mpg she averages a combined city/hwy of 44.3 mpg, but with the suspension done she also corners like a Lotus. Also pictured is my Chief Mechanic.
  4. We have decided to Home School.  The schools in Haywood County are horrible anyway, and the lack of security only adds to the problem.  Our daughter is 5, so it will not get real complicated for about 8 years.  That gives us some time to figure out what to do till then.
  5. Wow...  Market has gotten horrible out there.
  6. I would have been tempted to say "Oh, not all.  I'm pro-life" as innocently as I could as if they were talking about that.
  7. What are they allowing that you don't think they should not allow?  I would agree that indoor ranges should not allow flamethrowers or high explosives, but aside from that I think all should be good.  I would think they would know what their backstops are and are not rated for.
  8. Oh, and I got to use my auto-primer last night.  Super awesome.  I like it a lot better than hammering primers in.  LOL
  9. Ok.  I think it is slowly starting to sink in.  Sorry for all the questions guys.  No one in my family reloads, so this is all new territory for me.  I appreciate all the assistance.     I am, but most of the recipes for .38 I saw for Unique vary only a little in bullet weight and powder measurement.  I posted the .357 magnum recipes because there was a very wide difference in the recipes.  I am also considering loading a few .357 as I have a bit of that brass from magnum rounds I bought.  Using my Lee Classic loader the only difference in .38 and .357 is adjusting the depth rod on the Bullet Seater.
  10. The only training I had aside from basic HCP was in the military, and that was before the world went "tactical" so most people would not count it.  LOL  I have looked into some of the training courses here in West TN, but they are far to expensive for me.     I spend time on the range, practice my draw, fire from various distances, etc.  I also watch some videos in an effort to study modern pistol fighting stances, etc.  I then apply them to what I am doing on the range to see if they are a fit for me.
  11. I think you will find most people have little to no consideration for acute hearing loss.  Other concerns seem more important to folks.     My great uncle shot an intruder coming thru his bedroom window with a snub nose .44 magnum back in the early 90's and it did cause him some permanent hearing damage, but he is alive, and not deaf.

  13. 10 different bills?  Hell, it will take till next January for them to figure out all those and combine them into something they think is usable.
  14. Yeah. I really learned my lesson on that one. I am figuring it happened due to parental distraction while reloading. My daughter was highly interested in what I was doing. LOL Ok, I have another question. This is a couple of recipe lines for Unique powder in a .357 magnum load. It says 6 grains for a 158 gr bullet and 9.7 grains for a 110 grain bullet. Theoretically does bad things happen if you use 9.7 grains on a 158 grain bullet? Does it cause excessive pressure due to the heavier bullet?
  15. LOL...  I had no idea he did that.  I was just trying to make a point.  Glock history is not something I have ever looked into.
  16. I had my second reloading incident this weekend.  I was at the range firing my reloads off with the greatest of ease...  Then BOOM!  I opened the cylinder to see what was up because it felt like a strong .357 magnum.  All the cases said .38 on them, and none were damaged.  I must have double charged one.   I am glad that I am using a GP100 to get started on this.  I might have damaged something if I was shooting that out of a milder built .38.  Lesson learned.   In other news my case holder for my autoprimer came in today.  I have hammered my last primer.
  17. Yeah, I meant to say companies that mfg multiple products and not carry multiple things.  Mistype.
  18. It would be a unique way of solving the 1911 vs. Glock debate.
  19. My luck not so hot either.   After my experiences in the Army with the M16A2 I have always stayed away from ARs, considering them total crap for reliability and grossly underpowered .  I finally was able to shoot an "M4gery" in November and loved it.  It went thru 3 mags with no jams.  Super cool.   I finally decided to order an AR....  All this broke before I was able to get up the funds.  LOL   Life has been good without an AR or AK, and is still good.  But damn.  That timing sucked
  20. I understand your point, but at the same time when you see something of high quality from a company and/or service it is only natural to want to see more and different things from them.  I do not believe that a company offering multiple lines of firearms across different lines and types to be a jack-of-all trades arrangement.  They are still making firearms.  Perfect examples of this are companies like Beretta, which offers some of the highest quality shotguns in the world while supplying modern fighting weapons to our military, and Ruger, who's quality is also exceptional.   My idea of a jack-of-all-trades is a company that offers firearms, lightbulbs, knives, and boxed spaghetti.  Just an opinion.       Oh OH I got it.....  A Glock in .357 MAGNUM!!!!!
  21. I don't really like giving money to Wallyworld, but like you said things are tight, so yeah.  Thanks for the link.
  22. It would be awesome if they brought a gun to market that did not look like every other gun they ever produced.  Yes, they have a great design that works very well, but there is more than one possible working design out there imo.
  23. I am trying to avoid the whole tumbler/media thing.  It's just one more thing to mess with and space is VERY much at a premium in my house.   So far I have been putting them in the washing machine with the laundry in a sock.  :panic:   I know, I know, lead poisoning, chemical poisoning and all that jazz.  I should be careful because nobody ever reloaded ammo before tumblers...
