  1. For those that are wondering what it is... [ame= ] [/ame]
  2. Im thinking a flamethrower with Glock as a sidearm
  3. Welcome to the Dark Side....and glad to see your on OS 10.5 NeXT + Glocks = Reliability.
  4. I had a Para....someone talked me into the Kimber instead....boy do I regret getting rid of that Para. They were all the rage in California, and yet, not many people out here seem to have them at all. I may have to go buy one again..I'll come see you if I do.
  5. +1 Todds site is very good.
  6. Referring to that clip above....thats how I felt in California...
  7. I had 2 M&P's....a 9c and 9 full size...they shot GREAT....when they worked. My compact had consistent Failure to Feeds...and after having it go back to factory it came back with the same problem. I got rid of it. The full size was very pleasant to shoot, but after a broken striker...I wouldn't carry it. I think S&W has learned from their mistakes in the past with their Sigmas and such. They are really trying to make a winner here and they appear to be getting out the bugs. I prefer shooting the M&P over the Glock....the Glock however...has a pretty darn well proven track record. They ain't perfect (sorry Kool-Aid drinkers,) but I think they work great for what their designed for (shoot when needed.) Maybe in a matter of months or a year I'll start lookin at the M&P's again...but for a SELF DEFENSE pistol...Im carrying what I know goes bang every time.
  8. Just swap out the slide release, put on a better mag catch and get some good sites and your good to go. Supposedly the Gen 4 19's will have an ambi release..(helps for us HK guys,) but well see if that happens
  9. It was a P2000 9mm that i dropped in favor of the G19. You could try going to a LEM system, but it still has a reset you could drive a truck through. At least though...youd have a consistent pull. If the 8 pound LEM trigger is too tough (which I think it is) you can have it put down to 5lbs via a simple spring swap.
  10. If this is for a carry gun, that should be the end of debate right there...no matter how much nicer the other gun may be. I too dropped carrying my HK's in favor of Glocks. I felt like I was in sin doing so...but at the end of the day..God forbid you should ever have to use it...if you only got a chance to place one hit..wouldnt you want the pistol that you know your gonna hit with and not have to think about a Double pull on the first shot. I personally wouldn't carry a pistol that isn't striker fired or can be carried C&L...period.
  11. He will probably say the S&W M&P...just my guess.

    Snake!!!!

But if its in your backyard and you fear for your life or heak....your little dogs..can ya kill it?

    Snake!!!!

Its illegal to kill any snake in TN? Maybe Im just the gullible guy who just moved here...but uh..are you serious? What if that snake is in your backyard?
  14. Heres a thread on things Glock will do for you... http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=847128 Ive actually found leather to wear finishes more...if you have a quality kydex holster it should only contact the gun in a couple areas..IE the comp-tac CTAC only shows wear on the front end of the trigger guard IMHO. The draw of leather is drastically different. Some prefer it. I like the speed of kydex. Are you going for ITW or OTW?
  15. Speer Gold Dot 124gr +p in 9mm, and Speer Gold Dot 230gr in .45. Other good loads out there, Gold Dots just feed well in all my guns with no probs. As long as its on Docs list..and it feeds, I'll use it. List found in this thread here..http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7291
  16. All the rounds in that gelatin picture that Doug Carr used were Federal HST's across the board. BTW the working link to the thread that Tungsten originally posted can be found here, but you have to be a member. http://mp-pistol.com/boards/index.php?showtopic=13933&st=40
  17. Tungsten...I had a P2000 and even sold my P30 for the same reasons. The trigger. HK's are wonderful...but 15 rds and a consistent trigger pull in a G19 are hard to beat. Thats what I carry now.
  18. Here is the original article that Doc gave us over at Mp-pistol.com. I use the list religiously. I tried posting this earlier in another thread but tactical forums has since blocked non members. Here ya are..
  19. Usually 9mm. If I have looser clothes on...I'll occasionally carry a .45acp
  20. Glad to meet everyone today. It was fun. Sorry if I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to yall personally...had to get going in a rush. I think I'll be getting a membership over at Owl Hollow next week...especially if they can keep the wasps out of the outhouse. That was fun...(for anyone that saw that.)
  21. Im hittin WalMart for some ammo...see ya guys in a bit...I dont know any of your faces, but I'll be in Camo pants and an Apple (Computer) t-shirt.
