  1. Welcome...from another Franklinite
  2. I don't know when you tried to contact them...but if it was recently... A. The Holidays are busier B. The Election results have generated A-LOT of sales for gun stores right now. Every time I've been into my local shop lately they have been slammed with people. Im sure their having a hard time getting exact dates and prices when their distributor is slammed and doesn't know either. Just my guess...maybe the vendors can chime in.
  3. I think S&W is smart here...there will be the option for both safety and non safety people. The safety is easily removed if you don't like it anyway. My M&P is growing on me, and is looking like its going to become a carry gun once Bowie finishes it. Nothing wrong with my G19, but Im absolutely loving my M&P.
  4. Ah memories....that was the former MCAS El Toro in Southern Kommifornia. I went to quite a few air shows there before the Federal Base Realignment Closure..better known as the Clinton Closures. Now they built some touchy feeley "Great Park" http://www.ocgp.org/about/default.asp Hate to see that great history gone from some "environmentally friendly" park. Oh well its changed out there anyway, that area is very different now. Most in that area are from another country, speak very broken english (if any at all) and don't even know the proud history that base holds..or MCAS tustin for that matter. I don't want to hijack the thread, just reminiscing of MCAS El Toro. So ya...the driving is insane. Gotta love those rally cars... http://www.dpccars.com/car-videos-08/04-12-08page-136mph-Subaru-WRX-rally-car-jump.htm
  5. HA! Same here...but I went Glock last year...So looks like Im ok.
  6. Looks like Jack has switched to Kalashnikovs and Glocks:) I have had 24 withdrawals for sometime now...glad its back. Now hopefully he wont have another DUI this season...and hopefully there wont be a strike.
  7. 124 +p Gold Dot for my EDC. Though I've been shooting a lot of HST's lately, and if they continue to feed as well as they have I may just switch over.

    XS Sights..

They work great for me. You will probably either love them or hate them. YMMV
  9. At least it looks as though the Dems will not have a super-majority, so filibustering is still available.
  10. Wow...I cant believe I overlooked this whole thread

    New "Glock" product

The after market frames allow options in the grip angle and such..which is really the only thing that bothers me about the Glock. If you just trained with Glocks it wouldn't be an issue as your muscle memory would just adapt to the Glocks grip angle...but I have other toys I like to take to the range...throw a Glock in the mix and I have to readjust. Im going to actually give the M&P one more try as the "issues" are supposedly fixed. But even then they still dont make a G19 sized one which really bothers me! If the M&P winds up working flawless...I may have bowie make one of these...but Im not getting my hopes up yet.

    New "Glock" product

Of course...for all that money you spend on an alloy frame you still have to use a plastic guide rod:rolleyes:

    Para-ordinance?

Its weird...Paras were all the rage for a 1911 when I was stuck living in Kommifornia. I haven't even seen them in stores out here. I have a single stack, and it has been flawless. I cant think of one hang up with it. I haven't heard any complaints from my buddies that own them either. I opt for combat tupperware for carry for many reasons, but I would have no problem carrying the Para. I cant say that for my Kimber.
  14. While the polls may look discouraging, this thing isn't over. There are other polls out there that put this race in a statistical dead heat. The fat lady hasn't sung yet. Im feeling slightly optimistic here. Hell the Titans are 6 and 0 for goodness sake! So get out there and vote...and at least your conscious will be clear that you did your part. He that doesn't vote, will not have earned his right to complain should you know who get in.
  15. I wonder if there are any other boxes on sale or if its just the 20ct box? Nothing was marked on sale...just scanned on sale.
  16. There wasn't much left when i got there, but I cleaned it out...Im gonna check back tomorrow. I went to ask the guy behind the counter if they had more, but he was too busy explaining to a customer that he needed to buy a .45 because its a one shot stop and will knock someone over:rolleyes:
  17. Ya that box of 20 stuff is a clever RIP off. But you can get just about everything in a box of 50 for about the price of those 20 ct boxes. The only one I haven't seen in a 50ct is the Corbon/Barnes stuff. I don't know of anyone in the immediate area that has the 50ct boxes. If there is a vendor here that has some of the stuff off of docs list please let us know. I usually get my ammo from either http://www.ammunitiontogo.com or http://mahsupplies.net/ If your using Dr Roberts list just remember to pay attention to the model #. For instance you'll find a few models of Ranger 124+p...but make sure you look for (RA9124TP)
  18. Welcome to the M1 Carbine club:cool: To this day its my favorite rifle to shoot. What "grade" did you purchase?

    What barrell length?

What difference does that make? Barrel Length is what it is...no matter the material of the frame.
  20. Yaaaaa thats been there 4ever and a day.....but its pretty funny stuff.

    HK P30

I had one and sold it...Its a great gun. The ergos are wonderful, and its a pretty soft shooter. The trigger however, was probably the heaviest and rough double pull of any HK I've owned. Also...if you carry it in the waistband, the grip likes to sand your skin down...so make sure you wear some kind of undershirt or something with it. One more thing...if your a thumbs forward shooter...your going to have a hard time getting along with the slide stop/release. Its the furthest back of any HK Ive had. Thats a personal preference thing. Otherwise its a great gun.
