  4. Thanks for the tip. BTW, I just mounted a reddot on it and ordered some ruger 25 rnders. Adrians Undead Diaries ftw, hahaha
  5. I'm still reading! Definitely one of the best zombie books/"diary" I've read. Still in January 2011. Does he write a corresponding entry every day? As in, I'm almost one year behind? lol
  6. No centerfire allowed on Sundays at On Target. I think it's because it's within city limits or something?
  7. I was unaware there was a TGO event, lol
  8. What I meant, lol
  9. I was actually watching I guess a hunting channel yesterday where this guy was hunting elephants in Africa. I swear I never seen such a huge elephant ever! Anyway, he was using a rather large similar round and he stated that you can actually recover the round from the elephant and reload it, lol. It was some Federal round, I forget what. For some reason I want an elephant gun now, lol. Good stuff!
  10. That is what the box says. I've since looked it up via catalog number and apparently its normal. Although the model number wasnt on the Ruger site, I did find it in several places elsewhere. YES, I did and do inspect guns before I buy them. At the store though, seeing the stainless barrel and the black receiver, I just thought it was normal. It didn't really catch my eye and I think it looks just fine as it is. It was when I got home I was kind of wondering what exactly I got because as I was looking at 10/22 accessories I saw a stainless one with what appeared to be a stainless finished receiver also. I'm actually I'm kind of happy that its painted matte black rather than having silver chips coming of at a later date so no big deal. Thanks for all the information injected with chastisement! Just kidding! lol thanks guys.
  11. I just bought a ruger 10/22 at walmart tonight specifying tye stainless version. I got the stainless and when i got home i realized that it has a stainless barrel and a black paaaainted receiver. I went online to verify its normalcy and all the stainless ones i looked at had stainless receivers, not black, lol. Has this gun been chopped? Lol Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
  12. That is brilliant! I've never seen anything like that.
  13. I've never heard of em.
  14. From what I understand, Arsenal makes some of the best AK's out there. Great price!

  16. You can probably find a lot of guides online if you look. You can get 90% of the information just from gleaning gun forums. Whatcha cant find, you ask. As you can see there a lot of knowledgable, helpful people who are more than willing to help. Besides taking a gunsmithing class, I really dont know what other suggestions we can give you in order to learn the ins and outs of an AR 15. Its really not that complicated as you seem to think it is. Its not magic or mystical, lol. Like I said before: search for various AR15 guides online, glean what you can from forums, ask what you must, or just take a gunsmithing class (sounds like the best solution from what I gather about you, lol). There are traditional FTF classes, dvd classes, and I'll bet you can do it online nowadays, too. Good luck! Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
  17. I think he means the projectile fragments less if its bonded? From personal experience, shooting through wood with soft point .223 that the lead core was the only thing that went through and the jacket was left behind in the wood barrier. AND BOY! This must be a very close-to-the-heart subject because it appears everyone is treating the matter like you're talkin about their mama. Damn!
  18. Just a COD gamertag I've stuck with, lol. Edit: Also from being preached in the police academy that there are wolves and there are sheep, lol.
  19. I saw something else on Amazon the other day that was also incorrectly priced, lol. Similiar price range! Thx for the laugh!
  20. I don't know why more of them don't do it. Heck, I'd put sample pictures and prices up. There's a TON of traffic on these forums.
  21. Welcome to the forums! Nothing like guns and cars!
  22. Wow, its paved now. Pikes Peak that is... Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
  23. Ha! Indeed! And I've done that in a motorhome before, hahaha! (Pikes Peak) Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
  24. +1 Ive been through some 3000 + rnds in my Colt 6940. No malfunctions. Spend the money once and you save in my opinion. Less headaches, too! Im pretty sure Colt has more field testing than all other brands combined as it is used in the armed forces throughout the world. If you get a railed foregrip, be very careful of the weight your adding on with accesories! Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using Tapatalk
