Tucson executive loses job after confronting Chick-fil-A worker
billyscott replied to a topic in General Chat
I'm glad he lost his job! I hope he can't find another one. I hope the young lady at Chik-Fil-A gets a promotion. She deserves it for the class she showed. -
IMHO ADT is only in it for the money. I had one ask me if I had home security. He really got pushy when I told him it was none of his d*** business. He almost got to meet my knuckles before he left. They're better than nothing, but not by much. And if somebody comes to my door after dark, I'm calling the Sheriff.

CO Shooter received $26k Federal grant
billyscott replied to MattCary's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
R_Bert, I believe you hit right on it. The grant is no more guilty than the guns. I heard on another forum that investigators have looked through his notes on the crime and that in these notes he wrote that he chose the theatre in Aurora because city laws forbid the carry of guns. I haven't found any news sorce that backs this up.Any of you seen anything about it? -
Hope the kid is OK. It's not his fault. Rule number one "Keep guns away from kids".

Should have take a picture, but I was too busy bandaging him up!

I've seen people support the barrel on a handgun with their off hand. I have corrected them when possible. It's a fairly common mistake. Good awareness post. -
I think Ray Z has hit on it. A lot of people are looking at Zimmerman. When you have to look at the media persecuting you, it makes you think about just turning away. This is a gun control issue.

" It was a peaceful neighborhood till gunshots shattered their lives" WTF???? This may change my opinion on channel 5 investigations. -
George Zimmerman: Motion to disqualify judge
billyscott replied to QuietDan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You're quick gjohnsoniv. I just read this, channel 5 news. It was reported as breaking news in the case. So what he did at age 8 means what? He had that look in his eye. It's up to the Courts to decide his guilt or innocence. NOT the press. This crap is getting sickening. -
Haven't seen a thing in the news about this. Would be good if an article came out and just mentioned the restaurant they work(ed) at.

RIP Andy. I still watch the reruns.

A second count alleges Migliaccio's actions were negligent and careless through "engaging in inappropriate physical and/or sporting activity" near Lloyd. She's at a freekin' ball field. They throw baseballs. What does she expect?

I was of the understanding that shooting a fleeing felon was a No-No. -

What's going to happen if Zimmerman is found not guilty? -
Al Gore is listed as Senior Adviser to Google. Kind of says it all.

I don't see an edit OhShoot. But I think I know what it means. "Selling Per Female". Means his wife is making him sell it. Really, I told the seller I was interested and asked where I could meet him to see the gun. This was on Monday and I haven't gotten a reply yet.

Thanks guys. The item was listed originally as "SPF". I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious.

Pulled over and did not disclose

Lowbuster; there was a similar incident in Rutherford County a few months ago. Bad situation. Had he really been a cop, he might have shot you. Had he been a bad guy you might have gotten raped, robbed and carjacked. One can buy a rotating blue light at many of the pharmacies and gift shops. As to the original topic, if you show an officer your HCP then he knows you're not a bad guy. That's reason enough alone to show your HCP if you get stopped. -
Appointment for fingerprints?
billyscott replied to JZ_Yeyo's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
They used to do it at the DMV, but not anymore. Now there is an outside company that does it. They'll give you the info at the DMV and a number to call. The last guy I know that got a HCP got his prints the same day he went to the DMV. -
You're right. "Shop lifting, fugitives, hit and run, assults, murder, car jacking, rape, pan handlers, robbery, etc. It's all there at Wal-Mart." You can get everything at Wal Mart. Same thing at the Wal Marts here in Murfreesboro. I was nearly assaulted, or robbed at the one on South Rutherford a few months ago. I don't know what their intentions were but I wasn't going to find out. After two gentlemen in their 20's came at me and yelled " hey you old white motherf'r" they got to see the butt of my 38 snub coming out of my pocket and left me alone. I don't go to Wal Mart after dark. Maybe Wal Mart needs to put one or two of the "security" people in the store that look for shoplifters out in the parking lot to guard against violent crime.

RobertNashville, I retired from Nissan North America also, Smyrna plant, 24 years. I don't know of any search of a vehicle looking for a firearm. I do know they requested to look in vehicles at least twice, but that was on suspicion of theft. I just left my gun in the truck and didn't ever have a problem. And I carried for 12 years before carry permits were available. Yeah, "Don't ask, Don't tell!" is good advice.

This story makes my blood boil!
billyscott replied to Volphin's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
DOVER — A reckless conduct felony charge has been dropped against Dennis Fleming for shooting his gun while subduing a burglar in his neighborhood in Farmington. Strafford County Attorney Tom Velardi said no other charges will be forthcoming. Velardi said that after the completion of an investigation into the case the charges would be "unjust" given the circumstances. http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120223/GJNEWS_01/120229794/-1/fosnews
