  2. Welcome from Campbell county.
  3. I will see if I can make it out for a little while. Are rifles ok at the Norris range? Specifically, AR's?
  4. Don't forget the jewelry dealers too.
  5. Just got back. It was pretty crowded. Brought home a new Bushmaster so I'm happy.
  6. Hmm I may have to come out for this one.
  7. I guess I was thinking of the Northshore / Fox Den types.
  8. There goes the neighborhood!
  9. Every time I've been in there, there's been about 10 people looking at guns, and about 0 looking at golf stuff. Maybe they need to move the golf store to west knoxville where those fancy pants rich types can go buy golf stuff.
  10. Just try me bud! Then I'll shoot yer dog!
  11. So if your dog is attacking me, I'm supposed to run up and ring your doorbell and say HAY HELLBELLEY UR DOG IS BTING ME KAN I SHOOT IT KTHX?
  12. Any dog is a potential legal liability. How much of a liability depends on the breed. In my opinion, and that is my opinion only, not a commandment for you to run and do immediately - a pit is a huge liability. You have no idea what the dog went through before you got it. Who knows what could set it off and bite another dog or person. And like someone else said, we were originally talking about a scenario where someone was out walking their dog and was approached by an angry dog. Then you throw in the straw man argument of someone possibly killing your dog since it is a pit and comes with all of the stereotypes of such. Its your dog, its your farm and ranch whatever, but I still say its a liability to YOU. Wonderful. I am sure the dog is an angel. Thanks for slinging the insults, it makes your argument more valid. This doesn't even deserve a response. Here's the deal. I came in this thread because my dog was attacked back in the summer by my neighbors dog, some sort of german shepherd. My dog is a small 15 lb mutt that is afraid of her own shadow. I was standing outside with her while she did her bid'ness - she was not on a leash - and my neighbors dog came flying out of nowhere and clamped down on my dog's rear leg and continued to bite her for about 30 seconds. She got free and then was able to run away, which happened to be towards me. This made the other dog come towards me as well. I was unarmed at the time, so all i could do is grab a chair on my front porch and throw it at the other dog and yell at it. Fortunately, this was enough for the dog to run away. I got my gun (in its holster and concealed it in my pocket), grabbed a garden rake and headed for my neighbors. The neighbor and I ended up having words - he told me I was trespassing, i told him the police were on their way, and i left his property. I filed a police report to make it official. The neighbor and I talked later after we both cooled down and he conceded to get rid of the dog. My point with all that is the dog had never shown aggressive behavior until then. I hope you don't have to find that out about your dog like my neighbor did. Hopefully you will spew more insults at me.
  13. Damn dude, your priorities are all out of whack. If you own a dog that even resembles a pit bull, it is a liability to YOU and only YOU. It does NOT give you any rights what-so-ever to take the life of anyone else if harm came to your dog. It sounds to me like you have a chip on your shoulder for pits. I hope you won't have to learn the hard way if / when your dog attacks another dog or God forbid, a child.
  14. I think that cellphone cover is mine. Musta dropped it on the way home.
  15. Since they are running XP, the answer is yes. No video conferencing though. Have them look in the start menu for Remote Assistance. It will ask them a couple of questions (most notably is your email address). As long as they have internet connectivity, you will be able to connect up to see their current session, or desktop
  16. yes! A big thanks to Mike! Great to meet the rest of you Mofos too
  17. Me too. I thought I saw that stuff out there in front of the Walmart in Halls on Norris Freeway. I think I'm going to play it by ear. I had warned the wifey that I was planning on making it out to the shoot, but I'd say she's forgotten already. If its pouring tomorrow, I probably won't come. If its just sprinkling, I may make it out. I was planning on bringing my family heirloom Remington Sportsman semi-automatic, and I'd sure hate to get it wet.
  18. Here's me.... ...and my son, Ethan.
  19. I have a 380 CC model in the Nickel finish. Shoots pretty good, although it does have some snap to it. If she can handle that, I'd say it will be fine. Fairly accurate for its size, methinks. I've not had any issues with the finish. Its been my primary carry gun for about 6 months now and I really like it. Yes, there are better guns out there, but also far worse for the same money.
  20. Awesome. So is this private land, or an actual range? Do I need to bring any cash for a range fee or anything like that?

  22. Golf balls eh? Mind if I bring a couple of shotguns?
  23. I work just down the street from that camera. The funny thing is the news said they couldn't find a record of him actually getting a traffic ticket.
  24. I too would like to come out, but have never been to the previous events. What time do you guys start flingin' hot lead?
