  1. I just setup an account there.  The list about 5 different 91/30 guns.  I understand the difference with the laminate stocks but what is the difference between the $99.99 and the $139.99 guns?  I am looking for the best gun for the buck.  I don't mind spending a few more dollars for a much better gun.  Is the Laminated gun better?  Are the Laminated stocks just replacement for really bad stocks?
  2. Welcome
  3. Just received my License today.  Not bad turnaround time.  I filed for it on 12/7/13 and received it on 12/23/13.

  5. expensive.  Glad a got 10,000 rounds about 2 years ago.
  6. Thanks again.  I will let you know how long it takes to get my C&R.
  7. Thanks guys for you help.  At this time I am in the information gathering stage.  I have learned to gather all the information that I can stand before pulling the trigger.  I am sure there is more information out there than I can take in.  I am also sure there is some fiction involved too.
  8. Just sent my request for my Curio and Relics License.  I am a Winchester man.  I know nothing of Russian guns, chines, Japanese or Mosin guns.  I am sure if I ask which gun is best I will get 12 different replies.  I can do an internet search and find where to buy them.  So, my question is what should I look for when I am looking to buy these guns.  What is a Hex Receiver?  Is the Russian gun better than the Chines or is the German one better?  I don't want to just run out and buy a $200 piece of junk.  Nor am I looking to spend $2000.  If I want to spend that much I would go with a new Remington or Weatherby.    Thanks
  9. I am also left handed.  I only use left handed bolt rifles.  I am comfortable with it.  I have used those right handed bolt rifles and they feel wrong.  But, use what feels right.  I have seen on auctions that left handed rifles go for more than the right handed same rifles.  Just my opinion.
  10. I am not worried about running low but if the prices come down again I would shot more and buy more.  I have enough to cover my shoting hobby for the next 3 to 4 years.
  11. The only 1911 I have ever used is the one I have and the one I used in the military.
  12. I have a few. Sears Model 54 30-30 2 Winchester Model 1901, 10 ga lever action shotgun Henry 22 Long Rossi Ranch Hand .38/.357 I am looking for a Winchester 9410 lever action 410 shotgun
  13. Hand gun .25 .32 .380 .38 .38SW .357 .44 .45 410 Rifle .22lr .30-30 .351 .270 .308 20 12 10
  14. I have a problem with tranporting because I have a Jeep Wrangler. There is no trunk to put the guns in. Hard to seperate them. When I tansport the guns are unloaded and the ammo is in an ammo can. Never been stopped so I don't know if I would get in trouble doing it this way.
  15. 1) 4 rugers. The .380 LCP is the wife's. 2) 2 Smith and Wessons 3) Bauer .25 7 total. Looking for more
  16. I have a 700 also in 308. I love it. I recently purchased this one. I do have a Weatherby Vanguard 270 WIN with a good scope that I would consider selling. It is right handed and I am left handed. That is why I got the 700 in left. I agree that all these rounds are good. It all depends on the quality of the gun.
  17. The Sig 228 went for $600.
  18. The M1 Yearwood .30 Cal carbine went for $1050.00. The M1 Paratrooper .30 Cal General Motors went for $1400.00.
  19. Nice. I understand why it looks like a left handed gun. But it isn't. You hold it in your right hand and work it with the left. Do they make it in left handed?
  20. Nice. I have the same problem. Just picked up a Winchester 1901, 10 gauge lever action shotgun. The wife is going to kill me if she sees it...
  21. Just as I thought. I went to this auction and didn't buy anything. A Winchester model 9422 went for $800. A used Colt Python .357 went for $1650. A Ruger single six .22 and .22 mag went for $500. New it is only $400. An S & W model 37 airweight .38 went for $900. I can get that one new in box for $500. And a Ruger LCP .380 went for $385. You can pick them up all day for $300. Yes, people have more money that brains...
  22. I was at the last auction they had there at Steve's. Guns were going well over reasonable price. Some of the guns I could of gotten new for less than they were paying for them used. When I go to gun auction I do my homework first.
  23. I have been looking for a tang screw for my Winchester 1901. I have checked the local fastener place but the old screw doesn't match any modern screw. I have checked the web but no one has one listed. I checked Numrich.com but they don't have it. The screw is 2 1/16 inch, 28 pitch.
