  1. I'm not expecting a perfect match, but I've seen several handguards that aren't even close. I've also seen upper receivers that have a blue/purple hue to them, especially when subjected to the flash of a camera.
  2. Why can't manufacturers of [mostly metal] AR parts agree on a single finish so those of us with OCD don't have to worry about building an AR with multiple shades of black?
  3. My aluminum foil and toilet bowl cleaner mixed in a two liter was so lame.
  4. I've never used a lower block, but I could definitely use one for the upper. I went ahead and ordered the BEV Block.
  5. I was actually just looking at the BEV Block. Based on your experience with it, is it good enough to replace the other type of receiver blocks? I'd much rather buy one tool that can be used for the upper and lower, but will I end up needing to buy another receiver block anyway?
  6. Is the upper block strong enough to withstand barrel changes?
  7. I planned on ordering the basic polymer lower vise block and clam shell upper block, but I wanted to see if there were better options I should be looking at.
  8. While the last year or so has been the best we've had in a long time, I still find myself questioning everything she says and does. She'll turn 18 in less than a year, so I've been trying to cram in a refresher course on all of life's lessons that we've experienced and discussed over the years. The more we talk about it, the more I feel like a failure as a parent. On one hand, I feel like I've done everything I could to prepare her for the real world. On the other, I look at what I see as her lack of progress, and can't help but question where I went wrong. She is on track to graduate, she's had the same job for about a year, and I don't know that she's pregnant. So there is a bright side. [emoji6]
  9. Exactly. Unfortunately, as a typical teen, she doesn't believe those tragic stories we see on the new could possibly happen to her.
  10. My daughter wasn't very happy about the idea of being watched via this tracking device, but she has quickly learned to accept it. This thing has really given me some peace of mind, especially when she's scheduled to work late hours. I can't thank Dustbuster enough.
  11. If he shouldn't voice his opinion because it's regarding a TGO vendor, we may never know.
  12. Thanks to your efforts, we have had a good week with the Gadsden license plate orders.   There is a way we can get to the 1,000 quickly.  If everyone receiving this e-mail (over 300 people) got 1 person to order in the next 2 weeks, we would be over 500 in 2 weeks.  Then, if the 500+ got 1 person to order in the next 2 weeks, we would be over 1,000.  By the end of April, we could actually have the paper work sent into TN to start the process of getting this plate into production.  But it is you that is going to make that happen.  We can't do it without you.   Be sure to Like and Share our Facebook page:    www.facebook.com/TNGadsdenTag   To place your pre-order, please visit:   http://www.friendsofsycamoreshoals.org/gadsden_plate.html
  13. No disrespect intended, but that decrepit old fart above me stole the words right out of my keyboard. ;)
  14. I'm on my third set of Cooper Discoverer HTP's. If the ATP's are anything like the HTP's, I can't see how they wouldn't be a good option.
  15. TGO very well may be the greatest place on earth. Congratulations on the new carport.
  16. If you hadn't been, I would touch base with the FFL each step of the way. I wouldn't think he could sell them to someone else, but I don't know for sure.
  17. She's using an Android, but yes. Tracking her phone works well, as long as she doesn't turn the location feature off.
  18. I think that's a good thing. [emoji1] Thanks.
  19. Yes, she knows. I felt like I should be upfront with her and explain why I think it's important.
  20. As some of you know, I was looking for information about GPS tracking devices to keep an eye on the vehicle being driven by my teenage daughter. Thanks to our very own Dustbuster, I now have exactly what I need. Why am I not surprised that TGO has its very own GPS tracking expert? I love this place. For all your GPS tracking needs, give ol' Dustbuster a shout. He's a good dude. I hadn't given much though to the number of possible applications for one of these things, but I learned a lot today.
  21. As of 3/19, there were over 300 pre-orders.
