  1. What would this site be like unmoderated?
  2. The Ugandan warlord who uses child soldiers like every African warlord. Been in power since 1986 I think. Anyway a non-profit did a documentary on him and all of a sudden people were up in arms. You're being sarcastic again aren't you? Lol
  3. I'm trying to figure out what they are using for the whistle bit. It looks like something is in there, that's actually what I'm trying to figure out.
  4. I really didn't notice that until a minute ago...
  5. I wonder if anyone on here has built a rifle from scratch, I know someone out of all the members has. I want like I said earlier to build a bolt action something from stock. That's my goal at some point.
  6. Very interesting.
  7. I know they are lifesaving when you need them but it sounds like he had more of them than Crye products. I have always heard that as well. Wow those are really not as expensive as I thought they would be.
  8. https://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/ece9/?pfm=rightcolumn_NewStuffFTW_4 It's a whistle made of a .223/5.56 casing. Just though it was kinda cool.
  9. It really does, I wasn't attempting to derail this one. If I had the equipment I would certainly try it, or the time. Being a full-time student and working full-time really gets in the way of my fun. Not that it's a bad thing.
  10. No, no I understand the building up of rifles like AR's. It's more vague to me when they're talking about homebuilt rifles/handguns. Like if I were to go into my garage and build a bolt action rifle from stock material.
  11. I like the people on here. Some are sarcastic, others are funny, others are serious, and EVERYONE has an opinion. The people here also don't seem to get swept up in large masses like they do on Facebook. Like with that Kony thing, I deleted every person who was outraged and said we needed to have direct action. Surprise no one cares about it anymore. It's also a goldmine for information.
  12. I would like to do all of the work myself. If it gets to be too much I guess I'll take it over to Coal Creek and have them do it.
  13. I don't have any plans of making my own firearms currently. I would like to build a bolt action .22 or .17 though at some point in the future, but I need someone to help me (don't own the tools required.) It's all confusing to me, I've read this and that, and more of that but never can get a straight answer.
  14. How many tourniquets did this guy need? Enough for everyone's arms and legs? Also where do you get Crye shoes?
  15. Supply and demand at it's finest right there.
  16. Lol yup.
  17. If bubba wants an auto I'm sure he can just go and make it in his garage. That's kinda my take on it as well though. A dealer will tell you what you have to do in order buy something. They aren't just going to sell a person a suppressor and say you fill out the paperwork on your own time.
  18. Yeah you're right. There was that one with the briefcase gun thing where the paperwork was mentioned.
  19. Out of curiosity, could the Sheriff's department sell pre-86 autos to civilians? Is there a regulation that I'm missing or is that possible? I know it would be class III in any case, and I really don't even know why I'm asking. I would think that departments could make some money by auctioning off the pre-86's and replacing them with new full autos which I'm assuming they can do correct? Like a department purchase?
  20. You know the audience doesn't want to sit through them explaining BATF regulations and such. I agree with you but the audience doesn't want it.
  21. That's a fair statement. It was stupid of him to do what he did but I really hope that he doesn't end up with felony because of it.
