  1. First off, welcome. Secondly, bad news. You can't hunt hogs on public land anymore from what I've last heard.
  2. I'm aware of that.
  3. Well they half way failed to eliminate our ultra-encrypted tactical communications system.
  4. Funny, my phone won't call or ring but I can get on the Internet through it.
  5. Well it honestly sounds like they're a couple fries shot of a happy meal. If you run your mouth what do you expect to happen?
  6. Sounds like it can just be tossed in wit the order for the customer.
  7. Yeah they make gas powered ones that have blow back and all of that.
  8. Fighting Sheepdog will fit the bill perfectly.  Close to Clinton and incredibly friendly.  I've done multiple transfers with them.
  9. If I didn't do my own holsters I'd would definitely buy at least one from them based on cool factor alone. 4 month lead time would be killer though.
  10. Everything I've heard about them has been positive. They do some really damn cool work to boot.
  11. Is your gun already a 20"?
  12. Just out of curiosity what are you wanting to use this build to do?  I'm going the opposite direction with a 16" barrel.
  13. Right.
  14. I think you may have an addiction.  These are numbers 7 and 8 or so aren't they?   I'm digging the top one's stock.
  15. You can come out way cheaper by buying all the different parts and paying someone to assemble them than buying a BCM upper.  In any case building an upper isn't difficult with the right tools if you decide to go that route yourself.
  16. My understanding is that it's the chromium salts eating at the metal.  On top of that the chrome tanned leather doesn't mold or tool well.
  17. Yeah if it comes in contact with metal only you vegetable tanned leather, not chrome tanned.  That stuff will eat your gun up.
  18. They're both gunsmithing/home gun building sites, not normal gun forums.
  19. You could check on Weaponeer and Weapons Guild.  Some of those guys put of blueprints on occasion.
  20. My point isn't whether or not he should have shot it down, he discharged a firearm in city limits, against the law and he admitted it.  I'm more interested in whether the guys flying the drone are telling the whole story or just part of it.  If more info comes out shedding light one direction or the other I have no problem with any direction it takes.
  21. So no reason to check out stories? Even when the neighbors are in agreement with the guy who shot it? Not even bothering to video, stills, or flight path? Seems like bad police work to me since you wouldn't even have to take it from the victim.   ETA: No, you are correct, it had no bearing on the charge.  It seems like it should have been investigated regardless IMO due to the drone being where it was (Supposedly).
  22. I gotta say this is an awesome video for the engineer in me.

At what point would swiss cheesing a lower become an issue? Upper as well, I'm curious.
  24. Despite what he's showing now, several days after the fact, I'm still suspicious of it. The police should have verified both stories before handing the drone off without checking it.
  25.     With the pistol packing drones flying around I'm sure your attorney could make quite the argument that you were in fear for your life.
