I'm in the exact same boat as you, sling. I've been considering the LE path for a while now, hoping to get out from behind a desk, and recent changes at work may be the catalyst that pushes me further towards that consideration. I work in the construction industry, and with the economy in the crapper, no one is building, so lay offs are looming... They are having an "Open House" from 5:30 to 6:30 next Tuesday, I'm probably going to be there.

I havent shopped around for safes to much, but from what I gather, most of the touch pad combo types are very reliable, and will run for A LONG time on a battery, also, they have a key back up, JIC your battery goes bad, or there is any other sort of electronic malfunction

I plan on learning to reload sometime this winter. I also have a few rifle builds to keep me busy. Other than that, keeping in shape is on the list, and I have a few DIY electronic projects as well.
