  1. A tyrant would answer "just do exactly as you're told". A freeman would answer "just do what ever you'd like". A republican would answer "just do what ever the popular opinion is". A democrat would answer "just do exactly as you're told". :)
  2. This is about "sports" right? Are we talking about the one where the round ball goes in the hoop? Or the one where the egg-shaped ball goes across the lines? Or is this the one where they wack the little white ball with a wooden stick? Fight over a plastic-puck while skating on ice-rink? Kicking the spotted ball into a net? Etc, etc. If you haven't figured it out by now, I was eluding to the fact that if the college football teams unionize inorder to get paid for playing, just how long will it be before all of the other various college sports teams will also want to unionize in order to get paid for playing? Unions (much like wimminz) are da debil.
  3. Oh that is most definately butt-hurt. Anyway I appreciate the offer Mike but I have no interest in either fist-fighting or having a beer with TMF, this is actually the second instance where his dumbass has threatened to beat me up over something I have said that he didn't like on this forum. So he can either debate the topic like an adult or click on ignore or he can go suck a choad, I honestly don't care which path he chooses.
  4. Talk about butt-hurt, give it a rest already.
  5. For now it is local. I am curious if their ban on hollow point ammunition also include the local police departments? Or is this yet another "one set of laws for us, another set of laws for you"?
  6. Meh, I was once an angery youngman, I grew up though. And I'd much rather be boring than be a super-huge douche.
  7. The continual, purposeful, intentional misinterpretation of the United States Constitution by ideologs is sort of their whole game plan, because then it makes their violating it "legal" ... When ever they are able, they keep chipping away at it bit by bit, in this district & in that district until finally it suits their ideological agenda. The Constitution was not written in some sort of secret code, to which only judges can decifer, it was written in plain english that almost every American can read & understand. The question really is, how far will the American People allow this purposeful perversion of our nation's highest laws by our nation's highest officials to go? See the problem is a substantial portion of the American People are in favor of this perversion, another substantial portion just doesn't care, and those who are offended by the corruption & perversion of our laws are labled "extremists" for believing in our nation's entire reason for existing in the first place. I wonder what would Thomas Jefferson & George Washinton say about the 9th Circuit's decision, I'm guessing that they'd be super-pissed off.
  8. Or you could take your "Billy-Badass" issues up with a therapist, listen skippy your problems are YOUR problems, it'd be a mistake to make any attempt to make them MY problem, especially by initiating any sort of physical confrontation with me, are we clear?
  9. I used a 4'x8' piece of plywood & some large framing nails hammered through it so that the bottom of each clay rested (was cradled on) on two nails, it was simple & worked well. Initially our rule was that the clay HAD to come completely off it's resting place to count, but some of those clays can break/bust in such a way that just a small cresent piece can stay on even after repeated hits, seemed unfair so we switched to simply any "hit" on the clay counted, regardless if it shattered or fell.
  10. A couple rows of 10 or so clays in each, with each shooter at the line racing to break all of the clays in his row before the other shooter does is a regular shooting game that we play. We even play that game in the backyard with pellet & airsoft guns, although it is more fun with a .22LR loaded with only 10 rounds (or however many clays are in each row) so that a "miss" automatically means that shooter who misses must reload at some point to finish.
  11. It'd be unwise to become a "blip" on my radar, go punch a wall or something & get it out of your system. Then log back in & discuss things like an adult, appologies to the OP for this distraction, some folks take entarwebz-stuff way to personally.
  12. Meh, there is nothing special about you sunshine, other than your attempted bully-tactics you really don't even rate a little blip on my radar.
  13. No thanks, I am not going to take you up on your offer to "fight you". Your desire to do me harm for disagreeing with you says an awful lot about your character though.
  14. If walking a creek is a "serious threat" than I must be on a most wanted list or something, because me & my kids love going creek-stomping, canoeing, bicycling, walking, hiking, etc. I'll be the first to admit that I don't always know where one property ends & another one begins, I of course respect no-tresspassing signs & fences, however the OP stated that he hadn't yet posted his property, so I don't see the "OMG a dangerous tresspasser! quickly everyone into the bunker!" urgency/emergency here. The trash/littering thing does seem to be a serious problem here in TN, there have been times where I have spent more time picking up other peoples trash/litter than I did much else on certain walks/hikes, very sad to see such disrespect, I just don't understand why some folks would litter up these beautiful rivers, creeks, woods & trails like that. Anyway being aware, vigilant & prepared is always a good thing, especially out in remote places where police response times could be measured in hours not in minutes. But I'd suggest refraining from out-right demonizing people for wandering about enjoying the outdoors, I wish more people would "unplug" and spend an afternoon playing in a creek or walking a wooded trail, the world would be a much better place if we all reconnected with nature a bit IMHO. Chances are that if the OP's property been posted the guy as well as most reasonable/responsible people, probably would not had "knowingly tresspassed" (if they saw a sign) so putting up private property / no tresspass signs is a good idea, if the problem persists then I'd probably put up a couple game-cams to see exactly who was ignoring the signs. Someone tresspassing on/in your "curtilage" (up close to house, barn &/or outbuildings buildings) is a lot different IMHO than someone walking a creek at the far end of your property & would definately be considered a potential security threat. Apppearence/clothing might be decieving, I don't wear a suit & tie to go get wet, muddy or sweaty in, so usually I'll wear old clothing while out & about on my adventures, I'd think most folks would do the same. Their manners (or a lack thereof) however does tell you an awful lot about a person/people you encounter, if I am unknowingly tresspassing & some guy comes out with a shotgun cussing & threatening me, well he better be real, real careful what he does because I'll be a fraction of a second away the whole encounter from stepping behind the nearest piece of cover & engaging his stupid ass for pointing a deadly weapon at me. But if he'd just said "hey, this is private property .. the property line is over there" defending myself would had never entered the equasion, I'd just appologized & thanked him. So waving a shotgun around while being a complete asshole to someone just because they accidently/unknowingly crossed an invisible line on a deed or map somewhere isn't always the wisest course of action IMHO.
  15. Brushless motors & lithium ion batteries have really made electrics fast & fun, back when I got first started in RC (mid 1970's) electrics were really slow & run-times were awful short, plus with no rechargeables at the time expensive as heck to run regularly. The first nitro I got was a .049cc Cox sandbuggy, which I just thought was the coolest thing ever because it looked like "Speedy" from the Speed Buggy cartoon, man I wish I still had that one, anyway I also dabbled in flying RC model aircraft but they were to expensive to keep repairing/rebuilding after crashes so I have stuck with cars & trucks, which LOL can still be expensive to repair/rebuild after a nasty crash. The extra tinkering involved with nitromethane engines, such as dialing in their tuning &/or even completely rebuilding your engine is a hassle to some folks but I personally believe it to be a very enjoyable part of the hobby. Most of mine are all small block .12cc-.15cc's but my 1/8th scale MT (an HPI Savage) has a .25cc large block which even with the extra weight of its TVP chassis it still rips around a track like an angry little badger. I am glad to see so many other folks are out there enjoying the RC hobby/sport, just wish some of you were over on this side of the state.
  16. Meh, some folks enjoy the great outdoors it isn't unusual to encounter other folks especially around water while out backpacking/canoeing/bicycling/etc. You have to remember that this whole planet has billions of other people on it, so you'll occasionally run into them from time to time. The percentage of "bad guys" in our population is actually fairly low, oh sure there is always that chance encounter that we need to be concerned with but most of the time in my experience random/chance encounters in the woods/creek have mostly been positive ones.
  17. Well unfortunately the above "modern-translation" of the 2nd Amend in the OP is the truth. Think real hard about that, because they fully intend to keep "translating" every single aspect of the Constitution until it fits their ideology, resistance is futile ..... seriously adapt, overcome, comply or die is what our nation's future holds. I'm to old to overcome & I'm to stubbern to comply, dying isn't an option since I have kids so I choose to adapt. Essentually I'll Heil Whomever but I won't really mean it ... :)
  18. She has to yell "stop resisting!" While doing it though :)
  19. I used to race a couple of different 1/8th & 1/10th nitromethane classes, monster-truck, stadium truck & on-road sedans mostly. I still have a few in storage but I haven't found any local tracks to race them on down here in TN so they don't get "played with" much any more, although the monster-trucks don't really need a track, so maybe I'll dig one or two out and fire them up to play with in the yard or culde'sac or something.
  20. I suppose that'd depend on your personal politics, most rational gun-owning folks would have thought an announcement of the policy change, prehaps even a letter from the BATFE to folks engaging in the business of selling 80% lowers prior to rolling in the Stormtroopers would had been the correct way, however to irrational gun-grabbers this is probably getting dangerous weapons of unfinished construction off of the streets ....
  21. As a federal agency, the BATFE doesn't usually go around investigating & enforcing local statutes. Since there has been no new federal legislation or federal judicial rulings that I am aware of on this particular topic, these "80% raids" are probably the result of a new departmental "interpretation" of an existing federal statute.
  22. Sad for the family, but I have absolutely no sympathy for him though, this may sound harsh but anyone who voluntarily sticks a needle in their arm in order to "get high" deserves whatever they get. That said ... I thought he was a talented actor, it is a shame that he flushed all of his success down the toliet.
  23. I also train with airsoft weapons, they are great tools especially for use in "force on force" scenarios or for training inexperienced shooters safely. I personally use KWA's line of professional training weapons, however there are literally dozens of less expensive options, just keep in mind that like with anything else you typically "get what you pay for".
  24. Normally you'd been correct, undergassing is typically the culprit w/regards to most of the symptoms described, but the OP had also stated that there was also brass being ejected forward. An AR cannot eject spent brass "forward" (physically impossible) an over-gassed action can & does however forcefully eject rearward & bounce brass forward off the deflector making it appear to be ejecting it forward. I'd have to actually inspect the rifle before I could accurately diagnose why it went from "fine to over-gassed" without guessing though.
