  1. And there are some who foolishly placed their very life in danger for little reason, for little reason other than ego, (as opposed to principle, county, family) but foolishly chose to do so under the illusion that they can be front-line "operator" troopers. But it turns out that they could not perform in those situation, and yet continue to pretend that they did, like James Yeager and his Tactical Response training school, and ridiculously continue to "train" others as if they were able to properly perform. They are frauds. Clearly and simply obviously frauds for anyone who objectively reviews their history. They are pitiful. Honestly worthy of pity. And those who follow them and pay for their training are also pitiful. I feel tremendous sorrow for those who wanted to be real warriors, and couldn't do it, and tremendous contempt for both those who follow false warriors and defend them even today. On many websites, including this one, there are may who can and have been in harms way. Some have faced death many times. The pretenders, and those who are unable to are unable to perform, are not just an affront, but a danger to the those who read these pages. Real warriors tend to be either quiet or else outspoken about fools. There is a reason I comment on those who are hated by more people than who even know I am alive, They are a danger to the foolish who believe in them and who give them money for worthless and stupid training. I have been in combat. I am a known combat veteran. And I despise those who pretend to be able to to perform under combat situations who who can not do so - but who pretend to be able to do so.
  2. I just wish they made a version with a hammer and de-cocker.
  3. UPS drivers? BTW, the mailing address for this group is, as far as I can determine a nonexistent address. 278 JEFFERSON PIKE LAVERGNE, TN 37086 But there is such an address near the airport in Smyrna. Oops sorry...make that SMYRNA!

  5. Oh, you were Roman in the gloamin?
  6. Nope. I've never been a Glock "basher". I just prefer other handguns after owning a couple of Glocks. But wTiger, the G23 was my favorite Glock. They are highly reliable and accurate handguns if you use factory ammo. Welcome to TGO.
  7. Folks, I hate to tell you but if I go to a non-carry area...I'm carrying. I'll just be like the other criminals - except that I'll be able to protect myself against them. The law of nature is prevalent over the law of man.
  8. Maybe you should have put $55 on it and let him Christian you down?
  9. Oh...is that what is causing that? I really don't know what causes someone to like some guns and not others. My hands are small, but I've loved the Beretta 92 since I bought one in the 80s. Same with the USP. I like and perhaps compensate for quality, but I also like Kel-Tecs (not that for their purpose they are not quality). I just like guns that do the job extremely well. That is my touchstone. They might cost $1C or they might cost $1K+ (like the P7M8). But they do the job well.
  10. I think I first shot an '03 when I was about 5. I don't recall wanting to do that again until I was about 25.
  11. I occasionally cast .575 Minie Balls for my Enfield. Simple stuff and a lot of fun.
  12. The law is the law. If you have an encounter with an officer in North Carolina, you have to tell him you are packing. If you have an encounter with an officer in Tennessee, you don't have to tell him. That's what the legislature wants and LEOs just need to get with the plan. Having said that, I also know about LEO training. You see a gun - you find out why it is there. I will give him my HCP and my government ID along with my driver's license. He will know that I have a gun, a permit for it and a good reason to carry it. It's just common sense. Some stuff in Tennessee law is there to protect the citizens against over-zealous (anti-citizen-carry) LE. That's why we changed from CC only to OC allowed. That's also why we don't HAVE to tell a LEO that we have a gun. The intention is that we don't have confusion over whether you happened to expose a gun (thus making it not concealed), or whether you properly informed the officer that you had a gun. But common sense says that you CC and tell an officer you are packing. It's stupid to not do so. Flame away...flame away.....
  13. Well the photo came from OpenCarry.org. That might explain some stuff. I guess if you open carry, you want to reinforce that you do so legally? Of course you could be lying about having a permit and just buy the badge. If I was a cop, I'd probably be more likely to card you if you had the badge. I just don't understand the purpose of calling attention to yourself as a packer.
  14. Wonderful story. I just wish all kids could be brought up this way.
  15. Gee, sorry to hear that. Wish you could be an armor for a decent gun,

    GO TITANS

Well, hell. Tennessee won. You can't discount anomie's. .
  17. Marswolf

    what would you buy

Back to the original question. I wouldn't buy any Glock-like handgun. Deadly serious . I kid around a lot about that. Glocks are fine handguns for some uses, but not for CCW. XD is a far better choice. But I wouldn't go that way either. I'd go with some are that can be de-cocked and re-cocked.
  18. You want to talk about Glocks?
  19. Which nutjob? Several nutjobs have been awarded the Peace Prize.
  20. This is getting a bit tedious. Maybe we could move on?
  21. Back some time ago, I read an article that basically said that planting trees in temperate areas doesn't help - it hurts. You gotta plant a tree in the tropics. Maybe I should go cut down some trees in city parks?
  22. Good point.
  23. Well, I'm never too old to learn something new. What I know about barrel fitting is indeed on the 1911. I owe you a ham sandwich, Rabbi.
  24. Something the JC police are trying to find some wanted folks. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfU6zKcs7_0[/ame]
  25. Why does this make me think of some of our Tennessee force-on-force "operator" trainers?
