  1. This is my concern. Undoubtedly, the media will report that we are the idiots. The income tax was killed because lots of people got upset and marched on Nashville. HCP holders make up 3% of the Tennessee population. The restaurants are more concerned about what would happen to their insurance costs than making 3% of their customers angry. And besides, they know most of that 3% will eat with them anyway. Standing up to us "gun loonies" would probably increase their business anyway just from the free publicity. These tactics are a loser from the start. They might make us "feel good" until reality came crashing in on our head, but they won't work. We need to come up with a realistic plan that will work. I think that's all I need to say.
  2. You are absolutely correct. Thanks for checking it.
  3. Well, you can't have a no gun policy with any teeth at a library without a sign. I guess they can ask you to leave, but that's a bit questionable at a public facility.
  4. I suggest working on making a Republican majority in the House. Cute gimmicks will just make us look foolish.
  5. Somewhere between the doctor releasing my mother from the hospital to return to the nursing home and deciding they were not going to get around to releasing her on any reasonable schedule, I decided to let them handle it and I'd go home to work on the non-functioning riding lawnmower. I'll catch up with mother tomorrow at the nursing home. Anyway, I got down to where I think I need to be but now find I need a 1-1/4" half-inch drive socket. Naturally, I have a half-inch drive 1-1/16 in socket. Life sucks. So I guess it is off to Sears's for what I need tomorrow morning. I am fairly sure that socket will cost more than the mower is worth. I will at that point probably need the one gear puller in the universe that I don't have. I'll use a hammer. Hell, it doesn't work anyway.... Anyone who wants to come out to help...just send me a PM. I do require either a 12-pack or 750ml bottle of something to prove your worthiness. I'll supply the mixers.
  6. I agree, with the NY trigger(s) the Glock is a much better handgun.
  7. Well, we use intelligence to break up cells, but then again we used intelligence to conclude that Iraq had WMDs.If you are saying we need to put more money into intelligence agencies and give them a freer hand while we militarily keep a lid on the situation - at the same time - then I would agree. It's not either or, but both that needs to be done. But we are not in an action such as can be worked on in the same way LE (police work) can deal with it. Tracking down terrorists in other countries is not police work but military and intelligence work. The rules are very different for handling terrorists.
  8. You had better keep some bullets and bombs on hand or you won't get a chance to disseminate the information.
  9. Hey, like wow man. When are we gonna party?
  10. Obama is basically an over-achiever college kid who doesn't have even a glimpse of reality. He doesn't know it yet, but he's going nowhere.
  11. It's technically a mater of law. Your kids own the guns.
  12. Should have been check #666
  13. May be Mike. I was just going by memory, and I don't really care, so I don't think I'll research it. Doesn't matter.
  14. Didn't they originally do an 18 hole playoff the next day? Guess that doesn't fit in with TV revenue.

    Ruger LCP .380

Why does that not surprise me?
  16. It's a shame that Player couldn't be there.

    Ruger LCP .380

These small handguns aren't really intended to be comfortable - they are intended to be small enough to throw in a back pocket. I haven't tried that with a LCP yet. The Kel-Tec does that just fine, but the LCP is very slightly larger. It's probably OK, although I wish the P3AT was just a bit shorter.
  18. Well Trevor Immelman of South Africa won - as if anyone here cares.
  19. Or maybe they became politicians.
  20. It's a matter of the safety factor. Lower pressures and a smaller surface area in the unsupported ramp area means greater safety than in the 40 S&W. Simple physics.
  21. I was reading a magazine article yesterday from just after William F. Buckley died. Even Bill Buckley went out into international waters to experiment with marijuana. Back in the 60s, Lenny Bruce said he thought marijuana would be legalized within 20 years because every law student he knew smoked it.
  22. This area is not a good one to judge by. Sullivan County is on;y 2% Black.
  23. Well, OK. But I was planning on starting a discussion on the philosophy of Eldridge Cleaver.
  24. It would have to be a FREE screening for me to sit through it, even though I'd probably agree with it. Watch the trailer. That's Tommy Chong?
  25. How about a LBD?
