Technical Way around Restaurant Carry?
Marswolf replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The problem is that Tennessee code does not define the term, so I think they would drop back to the ATF definition. -
I'd buy an Otis Kit. They aren't cheap but their Tactical Cleaning System can fit on your belt and can clean everything from .17 caliber through 10 gauge. I have some cheaper kits I use too. Everything can fit in a small mechanics tool bag. But the Otis is the heart of the system. http://www.otisgun.com/

Technical Way around Restaurant Carry?

Don't tell Mike.357. He'll be waving that baby around in Applebee's/ -
It's worth what you can get for it. I sold a 1943 Remington-Rand about four years ago for $700. I bought it a year before for $500. My guess would be around $1000+ right now. It's neat to have a real military 1911, but to be honest they are often picky about having the lube right if you are going to shoot it. They weren't called Jam-O-Matics for nothing.

Yeah but beauty is only skin deep, but being whiny goes all the way to the bone. I don't think I ever heard an interview where she wasn't saying that someone else made her lose. But she does have nice skin.

Yeah, whoever is carrying the frame is in violation of the code. -
Hey...I said nice things about Janet Guthrie. But OK, I'll be nice. The arrogant whining excuse making bitch did work hard for the victory.

OK, I misread the posts. I thought they meant that if you renewed and your permit had run out before you renewed you could still carry with your old permit and renewal receipt. So, there are no temporary permits, just permission to carry with the old one until the new background check is done? Mtsusean says they are sending him one. Maybe they will do that if you renew by mail.

Thought I'd get an early start on the standard topic this week. Talladega will host two races on free TV this weekend Nationwide race: 2:30 p.m. ET Sat. on ABC Sprint Cup: 1 p.m. ET Sun. on FOX Also the truck series is in Kansas: 5:30 p.m. ET Sat. on SPEED After MexiCAR last weekend, it's nice to get back to normal. I wish it was still a Southern racing thing. Darlington with the battle flags comes to mind. I may stop watching Indy Car since everyone made such a big deal about the arrogant bitch finally winning one in Japan. I always liked Janet Guthrie much better. http://www.janetguthrie.com/ My family (Georgians) always pronounced the town as Tal-a-dee-ga, not Tal-a-day-ga. I don't give a flying.... I do care if you call my mountains Apple-ate-chans though. If you are above the Mason-Dixon line you can call your part of them what you want. Hell, they don't even know what grits are up there. Culturally deprived..... Down here they are the Apple-at-chan mountains. Period. See http://www.nascar.com/ and http://www.talladegasuperspeedway.com/ for more details about the races. Current standings in the Sprint Cup: Rank (+/-) Drivers Total Pts Behind 1 - Jeff Burton 1215 Leader 2 +1 Kyle Busch 1135 80 3 +1 Dale Earnhardt Jr. 1129 86 4 +2 Jimmie Johnson 1116 99 5 -3 Kevin Harvick 1112 103 6 +1 Denny Hamlin 1078 137 7 -2 Tony Stewart 1078 137 8 +4 Clint Bowyer 1044 171 9 +1 Carl Edwards 1041 174 10 -1 Greg Biffle 1039 176 11 - Kasey Kahne 929 286 12 -4 Ryan Newman 915 300 And on the hump for the Chase 13 +1 Jeff Gordon 907 308 14 +2 Martin Truex Jr. 897 318 15 -2 Matt Kenseth 869 346 16 -1 Kurt Busch 857 358

I have enough experience with reality to be grumpy. I have to deal with people. I prefer C-4 or RDX with a detonator.

I guess some of the pictures are of him with his buttie?

Anyone have a reference for this in TCA or the TDOS website?

Why are all those links to "Are you gay" quizzes on that site?

Voldemort, I'm about to conclude that you are just a troll. -
Hey, are you an operator?

I'm going to change my vote. It does sound more like some sort of junk preventing full movement of the firing pin. It can happen to just about any gun. It also may never happen again. I'd take the gun down to where I could fully clean and examine the firing pin and it's channel.
-
For some reason, NDs seem to happen fairly often at gun shows. I think about all of the gun shops around here have had them too.

I also read and post at HK94.com Firepower Forums I also very occasionally post at NSANE.FORUMS but not as Marswolf.

Thanks, Tim. I thought we had already posted this but it was on another board. RUGER® SR9™ PRODUCT SAFETY WARNING AND RECALL NOTICE DO NOT USE YOUR RUGER SR9 PISTOL We have determined that some Ruger SR9 pistols manufactured between October 2007 and April 2008 can, under certain conditions, fire if dropped with their manual safeties in the "off" or "fire" position. The pistols will not fire if the manual safety is in the "on" or "safe" position. We will retrofit all Ruger SR9 pistols starting with serial number prefix “330†(330-xxxxx) with these new parts at no charge to our customers. In order to ensure correct fitting, these new parts must be installed at our Ruger factory in Prescott, Arizona. We will remove the old parts and install the new group promptly, at no charge, and will return the pistol to you. The old parts will not be returned. Step 1 - Contact us and provide your name, address, telephone number and SR9 serial number. Step 2 - When we are ready to retrofit your SR9, we will send you a shipping label and shipping box with instructions so you can return your pistol to us FREE of charge. Step 3 - We will install the new trigger group in your SR9 and return it to you FREE of charge. When we do, we also will send you a FREE extra magazine as a "thank you" for your patience and cooperation. We will make every effort to return your pistol within one week, so we will not ask you to send it to us until we are ready to receive it. We expect to begin sending shipping labels and boxes in mid-May. Do not load or fire your pistol until it has been factory retrofitted with these new parts! If you must fire your pistol, be sure to keep the manual safety in the "on" or "safe" position except when you are actually firing. Thank you, Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc.

Just got around to reading this. Yeah, it's ridiculous.

In a way, that is one reason I don't have one. Tattoos make it too easy to identify folks, so most really elite units don't allow them. But for normal folks, it's a matter of choice. There are some obvious guidelines for folks in professional positions, but as long as they can be covered, it can be a source of pride or whatever.
