Walmart Smyrna has 1000 round case of American Eagle 5.56 62 grn for 447.00

Now that I read that again I guess it does sound odd. What I meant is that I'm afraid the recall is going to hurt the resale value on all the xds models.

Has anyone called SA to see if they are offering any kind of buy back. I tried yesterday but never got to speak to a live person. I was about to put it up for sale. I will send it in to have it repaired but I'm afraid this will hurt the resale value.

I've shot 1K of these and they worked great. I did find one deformed bullet in the box but once I had them all loaded I realized there were actually 1009 in the box. When I bought them they were the cheapest plated bullets I could find but I've had no problems and they are plenty accurate for plinking.

That's a great idea. I've been looking for a good way to keep track of my rifle brass through all the stages of prep and times fired.

Already got the bob sled. I'll try to search for the ejector mod. Thanks

Oops. I guess I left out an important piece of info. I have to single load. Rounds can't be loaded in the magazine so I need access to the ejection port.

I am looking for a brass deflector for my ar-15. I have found several for sale but they attach to the top rail and I have a one piece scope base/ring mount that takes up the entire rail. I've searched google and haven't really found anything I think would work. I'm planning on shooting in some rifle matches soon and don't want to send hot brass onto the shooter next to me. I also would like it to help keep my new brass close so I don't lose it.

Jennings j-22. Biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Still have it because I wouldn't feel right selling to anyone.

I really like this show. Could do without the drama and whining from some of the competitors but that's how reality shows are. My kids started watching it with me a few years ago and it really got them interested in shooting. They want to go to the range and try to duplicate the the challenges from the show.

The FFL you have it transferred to does not collect sales tax on the firearm since they aren't selling it. They are only providing a service. If the dealer you are buying it from is in Tennessee they will be required to collect sales tax even if they ship it to your FFL. A dealer outside of Tennessee would not collect sales tax.

This is true and a better place to look since the chamber is in the barrel and not the lower.

The carbon Busmaster I had was marked 5.56 nato. I have seen two others that were both marked 5.56 nato. It should say on the right side of the lower just below the bushmaster logo.

Using Small Rifle Primers in place of Small Pistol?
robbieg19 replied to bikertrash2001's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I have used SRP instead of SPP but it wasn't on purpose. I was in a hurry and grabbed the wrong box. I loaded up 100 before I realized my mistake. I knew what this load usually ran so I took 10 and chroned them. I noticed a slight increase in average velocity (15 fps) but my low and high were very close to the same load with SPP. I shot the rest of these out of a Glock 34 and had no problems. This was with a light load, 130PF so I couldn't say what might happen if you were at or close to max. -
Cabelas is the best bet. They seem to be getting some in every week or so. Have to check early in the AM doesn't last long. I got a brick (525) of Remington golden bullets for 28.00 shipped. Gave it to my buddy today so he could take his kids shooting. Hated to let it go but, I DID IT FOR THE CHILDREN. (why does that phrase sound familiar)

I didn't know they made cleaners for these. Mine is self cleaning. (little more expensive but it was worth it) Please keep these things a secret. I make more if I rebuild them. :shhh: Instead of the elbow grease I use imperial sizing wax.

Not trying to hi jack your thread but wanted to let everyone know that I am a ASE Certified Master Technician and if you find your muffler bearing is out of specs I can rebuild it. I will perform this service and trade for one AR-15 or 1500 rounds of .223.

I got it from Sinclair International on Jan 9th. I was surprised when I found it in stock, I had been looking for a few weeks and couldn't find it in stock anywhere. I too tried eBay but used ones were going for about as much as new.

I used to soak my brass is soapy water then rinse and dry, tumble in walnut for a couple hours then in corn cob with polish for about an hour. I bought a Thumblers Tumbler with the stainless pins about a month ago. It is absolutely the best method I've found. The brass looks like new inside and out. It actually comes out almost gold colored. It isn't the cheapest method but it works so good I will never go back to dry tumbling. I've even gone and recleaned some of the brass I had previously tumbled in walnut and corn cob.

I have several c products mags. Have used them often and they work great. I bought them about 2 years ago for $35 for a pack of 5.

Last week I saw a Dillon 223 carbide set go for $300.00

I am far from an expert on reloading. Been loading 9mm and 45 for about 4 months. Just started getting set up for 223. I use mostly Dillon products and can say they work very well. I know others that use Lee and Hornady and are very happy with their setup. I too was intimidated. I started collecting brass about 6 months ago but took another 2 months to talk myself into actually doing it. I spent the next 2 weeks researching equipment and components then once I placed my order I spent the next week reading all I could about the process. Once I fired my first test load of 30 rounds and they all worked It gave me a huge confidence boost. I now load 3-4 hundred at a time with complete confidence. My only regret is that I didn't start sooner.
