Stopped in this afternoon. Inventory is a little better than their website shows. Pricing is actually good/average compared to the shops in Columbia and Franklin. Had a few AR's from PSA that looked sharp. Dad and two sons operating the place. Still getting inventory going, but looks to be a nice place once stocked up.
Keep the 870. I traded mine a few years ago and regret it.
Not selling this one. I sold my double barrel 20 gauge a few years ago and kicking myself still. Just thinking about "updating" it. After online searching, I'm thinking I will get another. Two picked out now. Remington 870 (#5077) or a Mossberg 500 (#50780).

Currently looking around for an 18" shotgun for home SD/SHTF type of situations. I have an older 870 magnum from my deer hunting days that sits right now. Being an 870, would it be better just to order an 18" barrel and let it be or just pickup another shotgun? About $170 for the barrel or +/- $360 for a new setup. On the fence either way. Oh and getting the tube to hold 6 and on and on. Seems like a new shotgun would be easier. Did I answer my own question, maybe.

http://springhillarmory.com/index.html Not too much known other than the website. Stopped by after dinner tonight and closed at 6. Might stop in next week. It won't take long to stroll around.

Wife told me about this today. Apparently I've been driving by the shop since Halloween. Website needs help for sure. Anyone know about this place yet?
Sometimes reviews are earned, but I purchased 2 G19 magazines and the order arrived promptly via the US Postal Service two weeks ago. One more thing don't believe that 24 hour sale gimmick. This sale has been on at least two weeks.
I ordered some 33 round magazines without a hitch earlier this year. Cheapest I found online.

Do you ever see other people carrying?
jhc77 replied to gregintenn's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
He worked there and was OC'ing? Might have to dust off the 686 and check him out tomorrow. Only other time I've seen an employee carrying was at a gun shop, besides LEO of course. -
Mom leaves HCP class, takes gun to school

Purdy. 1911 is still on my wish list. I like my 686 too, just takes a long time to clean.

30mm is a bit large. Most of the regular scopes for 22s are not much smaller, except longer. Most of the ones I've seen online are around 30mm or so. When it's squashed into 4 or so inches its looks rediculous. I'll give a go next week.

Last go around then I'll do the photobucket thing.

Still messed up. I'll be back later. Thanks folks.

Edited. It shows up on my end. I logged out of TGO and can see it still.

Wanted to find a rail and cheap scope for my Marlin Model 60. Found the rail and this scope was listed in the "Suggestions". Well, it looks a little (a lot) out of place on a .22 rimfire, but it will do for now.

Welcome neighbor.

Did it with my M&P 40. Factory barrel and magazine swap. Probably just as easy with the Glock. Had one stovepipe and no FTE.

Made it back fine. Ate at The Varsity before heading home and didn't realize that MTSU was at Ga Tech today. If you stay around the good local areas everything is fine. Definitly to big city for me. Passed a few gun shops but either didn't have time or just couldn't change lanes. Spent Friday and Saturday trolling around the Buckhead area. Saw some nice cars, best was this morning, Bently convertible. Who knows, I might go again next year.

Zoo done and just wandered from the hotel for dinner. Found a great Italian place with one other customer at 6:30. Left the zoo at 4:45. GPS said 10 minute ride, took 25. My wife thank goodness was in the back with the boy. Just told her to put her head down, turn the AC up back there and hang on. Haven't gotten to experience that traffic before. Blinker...what's that? Random parks and The Varsity for lunch on Friday. Random sighting of the day, local transit bus driver drinking Listerine. On duty. No swish and spit for this fella.

There went my thread. I guess lock this thing up if it's going to get highjacked. dlm37015: Looks like a really nice place, but my 3 year old won't behave long enough for me to enjoy the atmosphere and filet.

Heading out in the AM. Thanks for the information. I'll check in when I can, most likely Sunday afternoon when we are back at the house. I try to stay off electronic gadgets when on vacation. Hasn't worked yet. These things are hard to put down sometimes.

Going there along with the zoo.

What's a Heavy Dog? Chili Cheese Slaw Dog! Looks like lunch on Friday! Thanks MacGyver. I plan on carrying too Jonin, I've already spent time on usacarry and georgiapacking.org. And if I get a random car wash at a stop light, there will be a big issue. I wouldn't touch a car if you can't see who's driving! Cash only on the tint job.

My wife has a conference on Friday. She had an idea that me and the little one tag along and make a weekend of it. We have some stuff planned Saturday. Me and my boy are on are own Friday. I'm trying to figure what I shouldn't take with me firearm wise, as I'd love to fill my sons bag with my stuff. I am a little nervous as I haven't been down there before but the stereotypes and stories keep flooding my bald head. Staying in the Peachtree area. Am I just psyching myself out or is it an armpit of an area like you hear and read about?

Unexpected find when my father passed. It puzzling still to my family where the thing came from. He specifically left it to me. Other than that I have no idea the story behind it and the tie to my father. Took it to a gun show to find out about it when I got it (I was still wet behind the ears on firearms). Lots of people were interested and a few offers. One guy tempted me with big money but kindly passed.
