1. Bought a factory 12 round (9mm) magazine a few weeks ago because it was on the shelf. Noticed overly stiff spring, more so than normal this time. The floor plate wasn't exactly at the bottom, fixed that. Kept it loaded with 12 rounds, now one or two rounds move around (area of the 7th and 9th). Not sure why but an odd number of rounds keeps things tight. Any thoughts? PS: Still learning the Glock platform
2. The last link to the Smith forum is a good one. I spend almost as much time there as on here. Smith serial numbers can tell a lot, there more of a birth date once you figure it out.
3. My wife has an old blanket, not sure of the blend. I found out that the trim on it emits a glow of sorts if you pass your hands over it. In other news, I'm taking ownership of a Gibson Mastertone, Any suggestions for lessons?
4. Here too. Back to bed once I take Jr to daycare, For once they got the timing right. I was watching the news when the first one went off. The second one sat me straight up out of a dead sleep. :panic:
5. After the info you had on mine, I sent my M&P back Friday. Should get to S&W Tuesday. I'll let you know about turnaround time.
6. Got one too. Are they going to try and find me if I don't pay $3.96 in tax? I checked the link on the email. The state site is also going to charge you a fee (2.49%) for using a card to pay the tax.
7. Just took inventory of my ammo. I'm heading out tomorrow. Only taking two calibers this time. Normally take 3 on range days, but cutting back until retail stock gets back closer to normal. Range trips for me in general have been spreading out. Need to invest in snap caps I suppose.
8. I think it's in a shopping center at that road and Moores Lane. There is a blurb somewhere on here about it. Think it opens Tuesday (1/22/13).
9. I was raised around them but my wife, not so much. I find it odd that she doesn't care for them much as her father was in the Army for 20 plus years. My nightstand gun has been moved within a few steps of where it was, out of reach (due to the wife) since I have a 3.5 year old. Downstairs is out of reach of the kiddo as well. All others are in the safe. My son will learn firearm safety as well at some point. I still have the Winchester 67A that I learned with for him.
10. Updated article, there was an AD when a gun got checked at the door. Two people injured. Need to check it before heading inside next time. What happens anyways if you get to the door with a loaded magazine? I've always secured mine in the car before heading in.
11. All smiles in the background too I see.  Scary weapons indeed.
12. No calipers here. I can email some pictures tomorrow if you can PM me. Posting pictures on here is my nemesis. It worked once or twice out of pure luck.
13. Just noticed this yesterday. I've owned my M&P for just over 5 years. Since this is not my primary carry, I was going to check for dust bunnies and lube. Soon as I removed it from the holster I noticed a rattle. I dropped the magazine to check a little more. Slide to frame fitment to me is off. Movement is side to side. The rattle is coming from the slide (end cap/plate side) and sear housing assembly on the frame. Sounds more metal on metal than plastic on metal. Any reason why the lockup isn't tight any longer? Thanks for the help as always.

Weather

Got duce chills watching that. I really need to toss my Kris Kross and Boys II Men CDs out.
15.
I'll second the M&P since you don't have any Glocks listed. They are great shooters.
Third on the M&P. 5 years, many rounds down range and no issues with my 40.
16. You are correct Mr David. They might have to ask the government for help. Yikes.
17. I've got an antique watch of my dads that I started wearing. It's a Wittnauer Automatic from the 70's (not sure on the year), none of the local jewelry stores can date the thing. It's a looker for sure. My mother has a grandfather clock, not sure if its an antique..yet. Edit: can't spell
18. I signed up, trendsetter too! Got my first Glock last year. Looking at another. Might move my M&P to the safe.
19.
And the db has not been updated for a long while from what i can tell
I was on it last year, renewed and I don't show up anymore. Fine with me.
20.
The worth of anything.. Is only what someone is willing to pay... Not a penny less... or penny more!
Got bored and started looking for magazines. Found a winner. 1, 33 round, Glock, for a bargain price of...$200.
21.
I love the bore snake, especially for revolvers. Runnin those brushes and bristles through all those cylinders gets old.
The cylinder is the dirtiest part. I use KleenBore Lead Away for the cylinder face. Other than that the bore snake is the easiest for the barrel.
22. They gobbled up my previous creditcard company. Until I get back to work, I'm stuck with this dumb card. I said it in another post, all of my gun related purchases go on this card. Only way I can stick it to them.
23. Saw a rather long line at 9:30 from the interstate. Just came back through at about 1 and still a decent line. Busy for sure. Hopefully someone will chime that went.
