  1. Spoken like a moron. I am a huge reader, always have been. I easily read 30 plus books a month growing up, and still played outside, grew into a successful young man, served in the Marine Corps, and now this "nerdy loser" who read to much, and still reads 5-15 novels a month does logging, blacksmithing, log cabin construction, farming, masonry, works at a gun shop and teachs survival classes. Calling a kid a "real life loser" for liking to read is about the sorriest damn thing I've seen here. Even said in jest, it was a dumbass statement. And yes it did touch a nerve. As for the kid wining every year, competition builds greatness. Not everyone can be the best at everything. Thats why not everyone can be an olympic athlete, a special operations warrior, a marathon winner, etc. We all have different skills, they should be celebrated, not squashed in the name of equality. 2. I don't know where your located at, but there is a local shop here in Oliver Springs that does all manner of gunsmithing. Owner and gun smith is a former Marine. Its called Fighting Sheep Dog, tell them jordan sent you. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  3. Well Im bugging in, but for post collapse movements I'll mostly be using my 4x4 2000 Dodge Dakota. For any offroad excursions and quick movements and runs Ill be using this. VW rail, bus trans. Light, fast and tough Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  4. This kind of stupidity is what makes me wanna beat my head into the wall. "This is the bitter harvest and legacy of the policies of the NRA that even blocked background checks for people buying guns at gunshows." For background checks to be blocked, I sure as hell saw a lot of them run this weekend. Evil people will be evil no matter what. Stop blaming guns and lets start getting back to personal responsibility. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  5. Robbie Knievel faded when the freestyle scene got big. Distance jumping is cool, but now you have guys doing double backflips and other insane stuff over 60-80 ft gaps, so just straight line jumping doesn't seem all the hard core anymore. And unless he changed he is riding a CR500 AF two stroke from service honda with suspension setup for long distance, while most fmx guys are riding 250 two strokes with suspension made to to handle the pop and slam of the super steep ramps they use. Hes just a washed up old joke living in daddies lime light. These guys would embarass robbie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Augcis8-eY8&feature=youtube_gdata_player Tapatalk ate my spelling.

    Lone Survivor

    Holy crap thats awesome
  7. I read the book back when it first came out, and I've read it twice since then. Supposedly this movie had the backing or Marcus Luttrell and he is advising on it. Even though Walberg is an antigun liberal, I will probably still go to see this in theaters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoLFk4JK_RM&feature=youtube_gdata_player Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  8. I enjoyed it. I learned a lot of skills, got to see places and things I would have never seen by staying here. I simply posted the video b3cauze it would be fun to do. No need to join the military to have fun, as military is not for everyone.
  9. Ive done been through Paris Island. Did 5 years in the Marines and had tons of fun doing it, but it would be hard for me to go back on active duty with the state of the military like it is. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  10. Im working with a local gun shop to setup survival and eventually tactical courses. Hopefully by next year Ill be helping run a course on tactical training. And the thought of putting money in the pocket of James Yeager pains me because he is an ass. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  11. Lol yeah but thats a ton of ammo, especially right now and finding a place may be an issue now that I lost mine. Im working on a new area but it aint ready yet. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  12. As I just bought 1,000 rounds of .223 brass new (not reloaded) for $298... which is what I paid for it 2 years ago... Online or local? I havent found hardly any .223 for that price other than steel cased wolf at Walmart Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  13. Lol not for me. When I was still in I got to do some fun stuff, but out here in 1st Civ Div, not so much lol. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  14. These guys are having a blast. I gotta say Id love to be out there with them. Some serious money in ammo and gear though. Anyways though you guys might enjoy. They said they did the video for fun and to hopefully motivate people to train more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KihAwNn-zoM&feature=youtube_gdata_player Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  15.     Meh, lots of guys here support gay rights. Figured they might as well take a good look at the new military. I'm a pretty simple person. You keep it out of my face, I don't give a damn who your sleeping with. That goes for anybody, gay or straight. That shit has no place in the public eye.
  16. Here ya go Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  17. I like my dogs better than most humans. They sleep in the bed with us, and are probably cleaner than your average person. Just so you know, that simple animal doesnt wipe its ass, an act that a lot of people do then walk out without washing their hands. Id say your more at risk of catching something from a hand shake then a dog. But Im just kooky and disgusting so carry on. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  18. The DOD has no buisness giving extra leave to people of any sexual orentation. When I got married I was stationed in Japan, and took 23 days of leave to fly home and do so. If homosexuals wish to be married, then there is no reason they can't do the same. "To compensate for the fact that same-sex couples cannot legally marry in 37 states, DoD will grant special leave to gay troops who want to get married but are stationed more than 100 miles from a state that legally recognizes same-sex marriages." Quote from here http://www.militarytimes.com/article/20130814/BENEFITS/308140021/Some-gay-troops-get-extra-marriage-leave- If we are gonna have equality then it goes both ways. You don't withhold anything, which they aren't now since they get housing allowances, etc. But you don't give anything extra like this leave. I want to know if this 10 days comes off the service members leave allowance. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  19. I would highly recommend you shoot some different rifles if you haven't yet. Buy what you shoot best and fits in your budget. A lot of people talk bad about the DI systems, but just as TMF said most of those people don't clean the weapons correctly or take care of them. And its not maintenance intensive. I clean all my firearms the same way, just like I did in the Marines, and I have yet to have an issue with a DI rifle that had anythiny to do with the di system. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  20. I pretty much had the same experience. Luckily I had a .410 Judge with me, which instantly vaporized him. I didn't have a judge, but I did manage to sneak my Grandpa's M1 Garand in with me and killed them all with a single shot each from a little more than 1800 yds. That 30-06 is a hoss. I apoligize to the op, back to the topic at hand Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  21. DI rifles don't work though. I heard they jam after the first round and Soldiers have to use the enemy's AKs they recover on the battlefield. I heard the M16 was made by mattel and that DI guns jammed at least once a mag. I also heard that the 5.56 round was a joke and most jihadist laughed off at least the first 3 or 4 shots to center mass. Tapatalk ate my spelling.

    Soldiers

I haven't seen anything funky, but the Marines seem to generally be stricter about what is and isn't allowed on weapons for standard units. We all used 4 x 32 ACOG's, I personally have never seen an EOtech or Aimpoint on a Marine Corps rifle. Not saying they don't exist, just that Ive never seen one. Of course the Marines still use the M16A4 in far greater numbers than the Army who has switched almost entirely to M4's. For Marines the ability to kill the enemy at a distance is a still a big point of pride, thats why 98% of the Corps standard infantry uses magnafied optics, M16A4 rifles instead of carbines and we qualify out to 500 yds. 23. Normal name is a trivet. You should look into making it a tripod instead of 4 legs. Little lighter and easier to pack. Looks good though. Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  24. Hahahah. When I was in the Marines id kill a fifth of vodka making screw drivers in a night. 10 oz of vodka and 4 ounces of orange juice in a 16 oz vlass. Repeat till gone. Then go to pt at 400 am. Aww to be 21 and 22 again. Ill also suggest some local stuff. I get some very local apple pie and plain. The apple pie is smooth and wont kill you. The plain is smooth but its probably 190 proof so it has a nasty bite Tapatalk ate my spelling.
  25. Well from a selling stand point the show was a bust for me. Only knife I moved went to dlm for some reloading powder in trade. From a fun stand point, it was great. I got to talk to a lot of people and see some cool stuff. At one point, Rachel from Fighting Sheep dog, the store I was working with, commented that it was like being with a celebrity lol. The TGO crowd was out and lots of guys from here stopped by to say hi, which was super cool in itself. I can't remember everyone by name, but thank you to each and every TGOer who came by to chat and see my old ugly mug. You guys really made the show great. Well that, and the guy who had on a shirt that said "Not only am I a great marksman, Im also a chick magnet" and his fly was down the whole show today. Lol Tapatalk ate my spelling.
