  1. Damn, that is on my way home, used to work in Donelson.
  2. BIG PLUS ONE
  3. Great post, thanks, Ray is a hoot, and speaks the truth.
  4. Big plus one on this, for putting rounds down range for practice, cheaper the better. You need to shoot at least a few 100 rounds to get a GOOD feel of how you shoot. Unless you are deadnuts at first, then dont worry about practice. http://ammoseek.com/...&.submit=Search Not a bad search engine for price per round. I shoot 20 to 30 rounds a week just for fun, I do get to shoot in my backyard.
  5. Welcome, and get ready to spend money, gun powder is a drug you can not get enough of. LOL Check this out first http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/forum/38-tgo-trading-post-classifieds/
  6. You should send it to me for proper testing, be sure to send lots of money for ammo to test with. JK JK JK Do a good once over, check fit and working to make sure things work well. hand cycle a few times, first empty, them with live ammo, IN A SAFE MANNER. I know I did not have to say that but I did anyway. So you lost your "New Firearm" cheery. LOL
  7. Glad to hear that, thanks.
  8. I dont sink to their level, I will still hold the door, say Sir and Mam till the day I cant say it no more. Good manners are a thing of the past, sad.
  9. "Quote Police evacuated part of the apartment building and took Prescott into custody without incident, they said. He hasn't been charged and was undergoing a medical evaluation" They can find him incompatant(sp) and He will never get His firearms back, and He will have very hard time getting it turned over. It was done to a Man in Lebanon a few months back, He told the Doc "He would rather die than live hooked up to a machine to live". My take, be very carefull what you say and to who you say it to.
  10. Way to go Man, I started on 12ga, now I have a Lee press, 40S&W dies, mold, shells and primers. Gona pour some lead this weekend and have at it. That range is just down the road from the house. And Caster is right, no money left.LOL
  11. Welcome, I think your firearm needs testing, just send it to me, with ammo of corse. I lived in that part of TN for a bit when I was JR High.
  12. I am calling it a safety thing, and I did not see anything about a "shotgun".
  13. Most of Us in this country have more mix the wood pile than you can shake a stick at. We are all Mutts.
  14. I would be in for that, I use a turkey frier and cast iron pot I can bring. How much room ya got, Weekends are best for.
  15. Did you say a beard or hair on your face? I grow a BEARD
  16. How many shoots can you get of before reload, 6 to 8?Get a Saiga 12ga, you can carry 10 roung stick mag, a 12 round drum or a 20 round drum.
  17. yes, The Top 3 on the left, turned them inside out.
  18. Remes bulk have a taperd hull the will not take a slug. I got out into the back yard to try my nrw slugs. Saiga 12 19" barrel, Cobra adatper, Browning rifled choke. 25 yrds, 1/4" steel plate and 5 gal bucket of sand, wet sand. Fed bulk, I opened the crimp, poured out the shot, melted and cast the slug. Left side is the Lyman slug, the inside out ones are out of the sand. The splater ones are off the plate, dented the plate well. Center are .451 ball from my cap and ball pistol. Right is a Lee key hole off the steel.
  19. I have been casting the Lee slug for a bit now, same thing you do Dolomit, but I open the crimp, dump, melt and cast. Then drop in the slug and recrimp. We are gona start reloadind for my 2 .308 rifles, 2 Glocks in 40 S&W. I have started to cast .451 ball for the cap and ball. Goto find some 44-40 brass to reload that as well. As much as I like to shoot, I HAVE TO RELOAD!!! And it is rewarding knowing I can not run out of what we need.
  20. It is all on you, I could not have done that well with out the steps that you told me. The handles work OK, they dont open far enough to get the slug out easy, I have to really watch what I am doing or they fall on the floor. I have to wait a bit to shoot them, might get out this week and try some. Thanks again Caster.
  21. So I drive to Caster's place to pick up the stuff I had said I would buy. I pull up to His place and I was looking for an old dude looking a bit like me. Hell no, He is a young man, well younger than me by a few years. I pay for my stuff, shotgun ammo and a 12 pellet mold( that is what call it). I have not used a mold like this before so I start asking questions, ya know picking the brain. My goodness, He started to tell me tips faster than I could take in. Good thing for me I get a bit of it in my brain, the Man knows His stuff. He has in all likely hood forgot more than I will ever know about casting and reloading. Anyway to my post topic, made me some redneck handles, dont laugh, they work, I am a cheap SOB, I do have some coming so chill. they do hold the mold shut well, just dont open very far, but do work. Caster I did as you said, step for step and this is what came out. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! The Lee slugs just there as a comparison.
  22. Are you in Lebanon this weekend?
  23. I have looked and have not found any yet that make a complete correct handed AR platform. I am one of the lucky lefty's, can shoot pistol with ether, I can shoot rifle right handed, but I am better correct handed. I just love saying that when I go and look at holsters, sale man just looks for a second then grins and we move on.
  24. At least the good ones.
