A dog is the only love money can buy....I feel for you.....I had to put my Boxer down after 8 years with him. Max had cancer and he was starting to really suffer from it. I can still hear him pass away sometimes......for me time made it easier to deal with, but never made it better. My wife and I had to put her 12 year old King Shepard down last year....she still cries but getting another puppy, at the right time, soothed alot of pain. Mourn your loss then relive the joys....another pup will need you and come to you when the time is right...

I have several old plastic film canisters filled with dryer lint.....yes dryer lint....fits neatly in my B.O.B. and starts everytime with my wax dipped, strike anywhere matches....I do like the straw idea, will have to try it.

I have always said that their lives are too short not to spoil them.............especially for as much as they freely give. I have had German Shepards most of my life, my wife had King Shepards, so they are our fur kids. A house is not a home without a dog..............

Just moved back into God's country after living in the Gunshine State of Florida for way too long. I've been lurking for awhile and decided to join up and get to posting. The wife and I are country folk and are loving life outside the cesspools of the city. I look forward to getting to know new folk here....
