  2. Anyone getting good accuracy with the ZQI 7.62 x 51 ammo?   Semi or bolt action?
  3. The extruded powders seem to cause me a little grief but as musicman said, the powders he was using, worked very well for me.
  4. Stopped by Wally World today. ALL of the ZQI M855 was gone. I could still buy a box of 30-30 ammo though. I didn`t. LOL! :)
  5. Let us hope that it is later. MUCH later. If they push, we push harder. Indifference or complacency on these issues causes loss on our side.
  6. Was on another website with high priced ammo advertisements. The ammo is sitting and no one is buying.
  7. Walmart doesn`t have .22LR ammo.... If one can ever possibly buy it in bulk packs, they will be taxed on the amount of methane emissions eminating from the lower regions when they see the final total on the receipt. Wouldn`t want to be the clerk with the methane "sniffer".
  8. OS, I often wonder how things are going to turn out for all ammo. Not trying to yell that the sky is falling or anything. So many uncertainties in todays market. Political climate also make things shaky too. Going to take a wait and see approach on the current issue. I just hope that the vultures don`t come swooping in and clean everything out that is available other than what is on the table for a possible ban. For some odd reason, I`ll bet that if .gub put lead pellets on the table to be banned, I wonder how fast all of the firearm ammo would disappear? LOL! Ever notice how the stores around these parts go dry on milk and bread when bad weather is about to show up? I have seen folks at the bread store buying 3 months or more of bread for a 2 day spurt of snow. ROFL! Hey, I can understand the logic about being prepared and all but good grief! Folks buying up All of the .223 lead core ammo & other caliber ammo that isn`t even being thought of by the goobers in DC.............. you get the idea. ;)
  9.   Heard the same from somone else that was in the military. Was told the ammo wasn`t very good in Somalia as it would overpenetrate.
  10. Dropped back by my local Wally World today. ZQI M855 is still there. Some other of the .223 lead core stuff was gone. Plenty of other common caliber ammo. No .22LR still....... Talked with another fellow in front of the ammo case. He thought that the M855 was banned. Didn`t know that it had not been yet. We talked for awhile and then I headed on out. Still think I should have bought a box of 30-30. Didn`t. LOL!
  11. I feel that that is what they are trying to do incrementally. Baby steps. Works both ways. :)
  12. I just wish that people would take a little time and research something before they go off half cocked and locked. We are our own worst enemy. While I don`t want to see M855 unavailable to the public, I don`t want folks spreading unfounded and baseless misinformation making the situation worse.
  13. I am going back tomorrow and see if anything has changed from Friday. I MIGHT...MIGHT...... buy me a box of soon to be banned 30-30 ammo. Ya` know, it is a rifle cartridge and the gubment is banning everything. EVERYTHING. Buy! BUY! BUY! I heard about that fact from my brother in laws` cousin with a sister twice removed 3rd distant relative that had connections to a Walmart ammo counter attendant that was special OPs in the Boy Scout popcorn sales department. I KNOW this has to be fact. It has to be.........
  14. Lot of mis-informed folks out there with a computer who don`t want to at least look up info on a hot topic such as this. You can lead a horse to water but................. You tried. :)
  15. A lot of folks are freaking. M855 doesn`t even shoot as well as other cheaper ammo. I have punched holes in 1/4" mild steel at ( not gonna` say how close range ) with just lead core ammo. I too, don`t respond to panic mode or go ape shtuff anymore. A lot of better rounds out there that are just "Plain Jane" and are more accurate too at the longer distances. I have enjoyed my pellet rifle so far. I can always get ammo for it and it is cheap to "shoot". LOL! Sure does knock varmints for a loop when it hits one. :)
  16. Have been doing a little reading around the web on the availability of .223 ammo. Some folks can`t find it in 55 gr. or the green tip. Was pleasantly surprised tonight when I stopped by a local Wally World to look around at the availability of ammunition that was on the shelves. Plenty available. All other common calibers were available and no one had come in to buy EVERYTHING. Figured the shelves would be dry but I was wrong. Still no .22LR! LOL! I am not sure if maybe more folks around here actually know what is going on or the word hasn`t spread yet of a possible ban on the SS109 tip ammo. Anyway, took a look around and walked on out. Didn`t buy anything. Although............that 30-30 ammo did tease my wallet! :) Best part of my trip, was an older gentleman who was knowledgeable speaking with another fellow in front of the ammo case. He ACTUALLY knew what was going on with the ATF and other current events in DC. I didn`t hear any non-sense of O`Lawd, they gonna` ban EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUY! BUY! BUY!!!!!!!!! Something else, he even told me that he bought a pellet rifle in .22 caliber a few years back. Still used it. I told him that I dumped my .22 stuff after SH and now I can shoot my new airgun anywhere and anytime. "Ammo" availability isn`t a problem either. Nor are the neighbors when I have fun in the backyard. :)
  17. Gotta` have an ammo can. It must be a solid gold can with green paint sprayed over it. What a "Deal". That stuff was $399 a day ago. We are cough, cough, gag, ermmm.... fortunate, to have such a cough, gag, hurls chunks....wonderful company that wants to help us. Let us "help" them....................... Remember them, folks.
  18. Good to hear that at least the end of this ammo is sealed. Didn`t know if it would be OK to be outside with it in a bad situation and the rain coming down with an ammo carrier attached to the stock.   I`ll get wet if I go out in the rain! :-\ I just don`t want my ammo to let me down due to moisture.
  19. I got nothing.   Ummm....... wait.   If that accident happened on a commercial machine that has a power switch, someone didn`t use it.
  20. Are the ends of the Estate 00 shells open, or is there some kind of clear cap or material at the "business end"?   Thinking about buying some of the ammunition and am concerned about water getting into the shell in an outdoor rain environment.
  21. I bought a box of .45 ACP last year for a friend of mine for Christmas. It was 39 bucks / per hundred I think, and I got it at Walmart. Looked this year to do the same and passed on the idea. Was MUCH more! Eek!! musicman, nope. You are not wrong! ;)
  22. Grumble, grumble. Dad blasted reloaders................. LOL! :)
  23. Looking at your photos OP, Yep. You broked it! LOL! You have gone above and beyond most others here. :)
  24. David & company, will be more than happy to help you. They do occasionally, have odds and ends rarely found, anywhere else. David, All of the best to you and your family in the new year! :) Your little dogs too!
