I'm finally getting to take out my new ArmaLite to the range to fire the first round through it. I'm so excited! I've never been to the OK Corral but heard a lot of good about it. So a friend of mine and I are going tomorrow to enjoy the hills of Woodbury and some fun with friends. He is new to handguns. I took him to the Lebanon gun show about a month ago and he bought a Sig .40 so he's excited to get familiar with it. I also recently bought a Savage Axis in 30-06, so I'll be sighting it in, as well as shooting my S&W M&P15. Should be a great day!
I do have one question similar to one that I saw in another thread. With my AR10 (16" barrel) does it amount to a hill of beans how picky I am with breaking the barrel in, since it will not be a competition shooter? I planned on shooting one round, clean, then maybe a series of 10 shots, cleaning in between. Sound okay or do I need to get more specific?
