  1. Maybe we could source some whiskey from Indiana, age it for another year or so, bottle in bottles shaped like bullets; David could hand sign/number each bottle and we could do an annual release of our super premium super small batch bourbon. Each year the battle could be in the shape of a different caliber. Of course we'd start out with the 9 mm version because it's the end-all caliber. #potstir Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Red Dog usually has decent store picks. I'm finishing off a 9 yr SAOS I got in the summer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3.   Do you allow such people back into the house once you find this out about them?!?!?!  :squint:
  4. I've been making dark and stormies with a Papa's Pilar 24 yr dark rum finished in bourbon barrels for a few months.  How's that for combining rum and bourbon?  It's pretty tasty stuff!!
  5. I didn't want to mess with anyone's expectations on the Beer Barrel stuff, but I poured 3/4 of that bottle down the drain when I tried it ... :( Larceny is a good buy and the KC is always a safe standard. [emoji106]? Now if only I could get Mrs.npgunner to buy me 4 bottles of bourbon ... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone else here tried the JD Single Barrel Barrel Proof yet? I found a bottle and bought it. Mine was 128 proof and holy cow udders is it hot. I prefer my bourbon around 100 proof, but have drank Elijah Craig barrel proof up to 140 and it doesn't seem as hot as the JDBP. Anyway, it's been open about a week now so I need to revisit it. If anyone around the Nashville area wants to sample before they purchase their own I'm happy to share. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'll play! [emoji106]? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. As far as I know it hasn't dropped in the Nashville area market yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I've bought tires there several times for 2 cars. Never have been unhappy. Always friendly, quick service. I also take advantage of the lifetime FREE rotate/balance every several thousand miles. I use the Mt. Juliet location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Also, where did y'all order those bourbons from online? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I haven't tried this particular underground blend, but I've tried another store's blend of 3 wood types (cherry, locust, and I can't remember the 3rd) and it was VERY good. The hipsters can drink the bourbon, I just wish they wouldn't follow the Van Winkle delivery van and buy it all up while I'm at work (they've been know to do this in Nashville). 12. Everyone is infected ... but the infection is "asleep." The saliva activates the infection. When you die from natural causes, the saliva in the dead persons mouth eventually works its way into the blood either by being absorbed in GI tract or eating through the mucosal lining to activate it in the dead person's blood. ... ... I'm not a Zed scientist and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night. I made this up on the spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Lotta good stuff sitting around there. Which Battlefield Bourbon is that? Last year's release or this year? You're the first person I've seen with an open one. Would like to know your thoughts on it. I can't bring myself to buy one for the price without tasting it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You should let us see it all ... and then invite us all over for a tasting. I'll bring some of mine too!
  15. It's been a good fall so far. The Parkers was not so good at first. A really odd tannin taste in the finish that made me want to spit it out. After a few hours open it started to open up and now a few days into it it's pretty dang good. I'm saving the Four Roses until the holidays. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The black/white v color thing reminded me a lot of True Detective, except it was done better in that show (at least the first season anyway, never watched the second). Either way it was a decent start to the season and it'll keep me around till next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If you have any left, and you happen to have the standard EC12; mix it 50/50 for a truly delightful bourbon experience. If not, add the water, it's awfully hot right from the bottle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I once found a map with the Ocean's voyage, but can't find it right now. I've had a bottle of several of the voyages, some definitely better than others, but a pretty reliable pour. I do think for the price (at least what I've paid; ~$75-90) there are bourbons I'd rather have over it, but I've bought a bottle of the last few releases, so I obviously don't hate it. 19. The best thing about ice water is it never gets watered down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. We also use YNAB around the house here. Really convenient app considering it syncs across 3-4 mobile apps and the desktop. We put everything on our Discover that we can. Pay it off when the statement comes and have the rewards put back on the statement. With our lifestyle we probably get $500-600 back a year; which is usually what we budget for Christmas gifts. So we enjoy it. I also enjoy the added security off how easy it is if someone skims your card. Dad had this happened on his bank debit card and it took the bank 3-4 weeks get his money back. Happened to me and before the transaction even cleared Discover had it canceled and a new card on my way. We aren't a paycheck to paycheck kind of family, but someone else holding my money for 3-4 weeks would get my balls all twisted something fierce for the annoyance factor. Credit isn't for everyone and I do believe you can survive without it. I understand the reward will never make my bank account rival Donald Trumps; but I enjoy making my $500ish yearly just for living life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. No special reason but got this out of the deep closet this weekend: Also found this at the local and gave it a try. Really smooth it is. Can tell a huge difference between the standard WP and this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Can't believe y'all are talking about this in 2015; or haven't you heard ... #blackberrylivesmatter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
