Jonathan's in MJ isn't a terrible place for pizza and beer on Tuesday nights. 2-4-1 on beer and whole pizzas. I know the Jonathan's in Cool Springs is posted, and seems like I've intermittently noticed the one in MJ being posted, but since I'm typically enjoying the 2-4-1 beer along with my pizza, I don't carry inside anyway. 2. Someone here is trying to see my anus? They must be in favor of the new Supreme Court ruling ... Haha ... I couldn't let that go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I don't see any reference to the harvesting and selling of data on the change.org website? Hehe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I really hope jct1911 shows up in this thread and says something about posting pics of his "chubby" haha I guess I'm still a teenager at heart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I just deleted and reloaded. Gave me some error message about restriction from forum admin. But then I reloaded it again, and now it won't recognize my username. So I tried it all again, and now it won't load any of my forums.  What I'm saying is it's a piece of crap and is probably designed by left-leaning libtards to piss off conservatives like us ...   Edit, now it's doing the same thing hersh mentioned above
  6. Thanks for all the suggestions! The zoo is definitely on the list. I hadn't heard about the USS Midway, but also haven't had a ton of time to do my own research on things to do.  Coronado was definitely also on the list.   As far as you guys having 31 year-old "old" information ... well let's just say your information is older than me!  :yuck:
  7. Hey guys Heading to San Diego for a conference this week. I'll be staying within walking distance of the convention center and the gas lamp area. I've never been before. Anybody have any suggestions for places to visit while I'm out there? I'd appreciate any tips you've got. Thanks! PS ... I've already checked my carry on bag twice for random bullets and etc. I won't be "that" guy.
  8. When I get to heaven I'm going to ask God why he created such vile beasts ... ... and how the heck Noah managed to survive with all of them on a boat.
  9. Completed the Blanton's stopper collection today with my 2nd 'N'!  Stopped by my usual store on the way in to work and picked it up.  I'll have pictures of the set soon.  Now to talk the wife into getting the souvenir stave from BT to mount them in ...    In other news ... I noticed today that my favorite day-to-day sipper, Elijah Craig 12-year, has had the prominent 12 taken off the front and replaced with a barrel.    :censored: There is still a 12-year statement on the back, but I wonder how long that will stay there.  The color of the whiskey in the new bottling was also not quite as a dark as a bottle sitting next to it that still had the age statement on the front.  This distressed me, as for $30, I dare say it's one of my favorite whiskey's out there.   Luckily I was able to pick up a case (qty 3) of the 1.75L size of the EC still with the 12-year statement on the front.  Should last me for a long while.
  10. I'm gonna bet that if the cops would enforce the curfew on the media and send them all home, the thugs would go home also ...
  11. I'm a huge fan of Blanton's, of course I could be a sucker for the bottle design and the topper, but I really like the bourbon too. I need one more stopper for the collection to be complete. I'm dropping hints to the wife and hoping to complete the collection for Father's Day. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get the display barrel stave from BT also. With regards to Rock Hill, I've tried it twice and didn't care for it a lot. Something about the finish didn't settle well. Both times was from the same bottle though, so maybe it was just a dud.
  12. I'd have to agree with the EW Single being under rated. I'm fine with it staying that way too. From what I read on some bourbon forums, there was a recent KY-only release of the Pappy stuff. Either BT released it twice in KY, or the distributor wanted to fool with people and decided to release in spring instead of fall. I believe Rock Hill Farms is a BT product of the same mashbill as Blanton's. Some people will tell you it's a superior product to Blanton's, but in my opinion that's a bunch of "bovine scatology."
  13. From what I was told by a rep at a tasting of the JD Fire ... if you take JD and a box of red hots, mix the two together, let them sit for a week or so, you'll have a close enough version of JD Fire ...    I don't mind the JD Fire ... when someone else purchases it.  For that matter, I don't mind a lot of things when someone else purchases it ...
  14. In an effort to save us all a buck, I'm willing to volunteer (to save on labor cost) to test fire as many guns as glock, et al., can produce (on their ammo of course).     ... with regards to filing/storing/organizing all the spent rounds ... well, they can keep paying someone for that.
  15. It certainly doesn't help the PR-disaster law enforcement has under gone recently ...
  16. Essentially it seems no different than every day life ... If it's posted, you can't carry.    Music City Center isn't posted, they allow each event to decide. NRA has decided to allow carry at the MCC.  The sentence in the report re: "firing pins removed" only applies to guns on exhibit by the vendors, not your personal weapon you might carry in.   Bridgestone is posted, so you can't carry there.  Country Music Hall of Fame is posted, can't carry there.     I'm not sure this is the weekend to test the "that's not a compliant posting" idea ...
  17. I'd love to be in on this and meet a few other TGO whiskey folks.
  18. Mike.357 you didn't happen to purchase one of those bottles did you? I'm curious how it tastes. Don't imagine I'll be getting a bottle myself. Haven't put in any effort in finding one personally and not super interested in it really.
  19. Thanks I felt incredibly lucky and a little bit guilty ... I think this was part of a dudes stash and the misses was making him get rid of it ... I overheard them talking about a "meeting" and a "sponsor" to some of the other people at the sale. Unfortunate for him and I'm sad for their problems, but worked out well for me ...
  20. Whiskey Gods shined their favor on me while at some estate/yard sales out of town today ... Blanton's Gold Blanton's Straight from the Barrel Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Angel's Envy Cask Strength
  21. hopefully they have the sense to make sure the two story lines jive together with some of the stuff that carries between the two (reference your post, things like how you turn, etc.)
  22. Hook up a couple of trailers and drive to the front gate. After all ... despite being several years into it; gas is in infinite supply to run cars and trucks and what not ... ... ...
  23. Wolves not far I believe. Probably another warning like the note they found in the car.
