  1. Pulled from the Delta website: Shooting equipment is accepted as checked baggage. When checking a firearm, you must: -Declare to the Delta representative that you are checking a firearm (If a Security Checkpoint is prior to the Delta ticket counter, you must declare the existence of a firearm to security personnel.) -Present firearm(s) unloaded and sign a "Firearms Unloaded" declaration -Lock the firearm(s) in a hard-sided, crush-proof container and retain the key or combination -Maintain entry permits in your possession for the country or countries of destination or transit -Ensure small arms ammunition is packed in the manufacturer's original package or securely packed in fiber, wood or metal boxes I wonder if this has to be a TSA compliant lock. I guess I have to call the airlines and get clarification.
  2. I saved the bucks and got the Lee priming tool and with the multi-pack of shellholders. I rounded out my Midway order with the Lyman trimmer. Last night, I found a deal on some once-fired Lake City brass on http://www.reloadersauction.com/. It has been deprimed, de-swaged, and tumbled. Now I just need to get home and get busy reloading. Thanks again Rightwinger
  3. OK, it's time to make my next purchase. I want to buy my case trimmer and the hand primer. Rightwinger suggested the Lyman trimmer. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productnumber=795961 I already have a good caliper. Is there anything I'm missing? As for the hand priming tool, the guys at The Reloaders Bench suggested the one from Hornady. Do I need an additional shell holder to use this primer or does it come with them? I have a Lee shellholder (for .223) for my Rockchucker. Will this work? I'm still holding off on buying my tumbler and media separator. Looks like I will buy these items next month.
  4. I am in agreement here. One incident and this would beginning of over-regulating our gun rights out of exisistence. As for the risk, I see this as following in the footsteps of our founding fathers. The fear of reprisal and death must have been overwhelming when they drafted the Declaration of Independence. If we do this, we could be put to death and further enslaved by the Monarchy. Even in the face of extreme risk they moved forward and succeeded. So to say the risk outweighs the benefits, I disagree. I think the organizers are correct not to encourage firearms at the rally. They probably see the same risk in an incident or stupid mistake occuring. The liberal media would capitalize on reporting on this in the poorest light possible.
  5. If this event does happen, wouldn't you want to break the cycle? We b#tch, moan, and complain about legislation, they better not take away our rights, then we get stuck with a law(s) we hate, and learn to live with it. What part of "shall not be infringed" is difficult to understand?Concealed carry or not, this goes back to our basic right to own firearms. I don't care to lose that or have it regulated any further. I want to be seen and heard. I want our elected officials to know we will not be silent. I want them to know law-biding citizens are NOT the issue. Defend us, not the criminals.
  6. On another note, what is the best way to lock your gun case? I plan to use the factory Sig gun case. Do I simply used a padlock?
  7. Thanks P Stegall. After searching PA's site I will have no issues. This is great news.
  8. I find myself beyond words at this point. I want change. It's apparent the change that people voted for was BS. I'm all for some old-school rebellion. You can bet your next round that I will be at the million gun owner march. It will be great lesson in history for my sons.
  9. I always leave the house with 12+1 onboard and an additional 12 should the first decision prove unsucessful. After that it's hand to hand until I decide to provide CPR or first aid.
  10. I am planning on attending my brothers wedding in April in Pennsylvania. According to legallyarmed.com, TN has reciprocity with PA. I want to be sure I am legally in the right with my actions. I intend to check my pistol at the airline (Delta), unloaded and with a box of 50 rounds. According to their website this is fine as long as the weapon is disclosed and the ammo is in the original packaging. Is there anything in dealing with reciprocity that I need to know/understand before I make my trip? This is my first interstate airline trip with a weapon and I would like to keep a low profile.
  11. On one hand I would want to have my constitution given firearms in-hand, but without them, I think much of our rallying cry may be lost. We need to show our leaders that we aren't going away quitely and any further legislation against us will result in political suicide.
  12. I'm not the smartest cookie, but I do have a two pieces of paper that states I have a degrees. I feel this is going to be the generic excuse/solution the new administration uses to go back to the Clinton era, where most problems are solved with the weak response of cruise missiles that have little effect. It's not like these guys are going to go back doing anything against our country. They are innocent.
  13. Everytime I view this thread I feel like Tim Talyor on Tool-Time, making his trademark sound. RAR AR AR. Did your lottery ticket come through on SAT, Voldaddy?????
  14. Let's do this.... WE THE PEOPLE serve Frank, Schumer, and Dodd with a bill that covers the amount of the housing disaster. We liquidate everything they own or have a stake in. We them proceed to find any other associates involved with this housing nightmare. We then move to Carter, Clinton, and any other person who promoted these immoral housing practices. After rounding these individuals up, we charge them with crimes against the constitution and send them to Arizona so Joe Arpairo(sp) can put them in pink jumpsuits and live in tents.
  15. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/02/05/sources-charges-dropped-uss-cole-bombing-suspect/ I am having an out-of -body moment here. Let me see if I can put this in perspective.... I am of Polish decent. I read this article and said WHAT!?!?!?! Let's drop the charges of a guy who commited a crime against our sailors. The Army/Navy rivalry is good between services, but to dishonor our fallen service members to appease the world consensus? Call me silly, but I find this incredibly insulting to anyone who has ever served. It's apparent this inexperienced hack is going to redefine the meaning of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Well, I am continuing to pursue my happiness. Everytime I order 500-1000 new Hornady bullets or multiple pounds of Accurate 2230 powder. I won;t let this affect my family if SHTF. The people voted for change....I don't think they asked themselves simple question. What are you going to change? Hang on, the next 4 years are going to be rough!
  16. Thanks for the link, I just sent my legislators an email stating they need to support this for the state of TN.
  17. -1 for wrinkles?? Like I'm going to man the iron. Thats a work shirt!
  18. Is that like band camp? It's hard to keep quiet about these issues. The reality of it all is gov't is becoming the new crack cocaine. Once you get hooked, you can't deal without it.
  19. I'm still trying to determine why my rifle is evil. I can only assume it's due to the "threatening" black color or the fact that it's in the legal possession of a highly trained special operations veteran.
  20. I saw some news pundits stating that it would take an additional 24 million NEW smokers to fund this program. Since there are programs to limit or reduce smokers, I can only guess that WE THE PEOPLE are going to get stuck with this tab. May I suggest an alternative..... You get what you earn. Make something of your life and you get rewarded. You sit on your azz, you get squat. I dont' care to pay for your patheticness, laziness, or worthless.
  21. It's amazing that one man can project himself into a representative of such a worthless cause. Let's cause fear and chaos with rumors and unsupported information. The earth go through cycles of warming and cooling. One guy states we need to make drastic changes or we will face an uncontrolable fate. This is the same guy who claims to have invented the internet. People need to pull their heads out of their 4th point of contact and see this for what it is. Lies and propoganda to push an adjenda to make money. I suggest a alternative. Let's shoot Al and burn his energy guzzling house to the ground. Let's shove his carbon credits initiatives up his rotting corpse and declare we are a free nation. People decry that we need to save our planet. Well we are only part of the problem. Every country that goes through an industrial revolution and advances their technology will break many environmental initiatives to further their causes. We cannot dictate the policy of the world. If we lead they do not have to follow. Stop to damn propoganda and focus on making our country great again.
  22. Hell with that, I would be prohibited from having a weapon readily available for home defense? Would that apply to the loaded .40 on my night stand and my loaded SBR above my bedroom door? Holder/Barry-Hussien, you can kiss my azz! Breakin the law! Breakin the law!
  23. So if you are qualified for a job, you will be passed over for a low income black, hispanic, or woman, etc?!?!?!? What kind of outright is this? This sounds like the next ammendment to affirmative action. This appears to be the kickoff to a our new revolution.
