  1. I'll second that! This is a great bag with plenty of extra pouches and storage.
  2. Global waming? Climate change? I'm working up here in Vermont and this is a picture of my rental car recently. I'm not seeing any warming trend here.
  3. If you wash out of the Frogs, you could be the next Casey Ryback (steven segal) and be the personal cook to the skipper.
  4. I hate to say it, but I am with Hillary on this topic. As she clearly stated during the primaries that the office of the president does not allow for on the job training. Well, the people voted and now we are stuck with Mr. Inexperienced. This is my country, but he is not my president. I'm simply surviving until JAN 2013. The only benefit is we don't have to worry about paying any penalties if we ever mess up our taxes. Just write "Rangel Rule" on your tax form and you're covered!
  5. The forum rules prevent me from going full-bore. This is the best I can do without banning myself. My contempt runs deep.
  6. To me, this is just adding another splash of gas on the fire. Soon we will revolt against this utter madness. Everytime I hear this crap-o-la from DC, I keep picturing another individual(s) somewhere in the country using the movie Shooter as his basis for conducting the elimnation of our elected officials. For me, I'm still praying every night for California to be hit with another great quake and sink into the Pacific within 30 seconds- no survivors. We can write off the debt, the homos, and the Dems. Sorry Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, you don't have a state, so you don't have a job. That will be a good start to improving our nation in distress.
  7. Hmmmm, that might be a nice addition to my next project. I need to start saving for my auto sear.
  8. You have a great looking family there VolDaddy! Is that DoubleStar .22 suppressed? It also was nice to meet you at Hero Gear. Its always good to finally put a face with the TGO screen name. If I seemed distracted, I was blinded by the excitement of picking up my tax stamp and completed SBR!!!!
  9. You fondled my baby?!?!?!? Geesh, I need to talk to Dan/Joe about molesting my equipment. Now I'm headed back out of town, I hope to shoot my new arrival at the end of FEB.
  10. Many thanks to the helpful & knowledgable staff of Hero Gear. Joe, Dan, Mike, the old dog, and others whose names I can't recall. I appreciate a local shop that is stocked with items at decent prices. You have me hooked! All you need is a shop closer to Nashville.
  11. No, Hornady varmint. Ranges around here tend to frown upon tracers.
  12. The words were a quote from the movie Team America. I would post the youtube link, but it contains language far less suitable for this forum. http://noveskerifleworks.com/cgi-bin/imcart/display.cgi?item_id=portdoor&cat=9&page=1&search=&since=&status=
  13. After spending some time in the sandbox and earning a great wage, I decided in OCT to buy me a present for my hardship. After a trip to Hero Gear and the grand tour, I decided on an SBR. This began my journey to possessing an ERB. On JAN 20th, My stamp was approved and today I took possession of my rifle. It's based on a Spikes tactical Lower and paired with a YHM Specter upper (10.5"). I added the Tapco (for now) stock and handgrip, folding iron sights, an Aimpoint M3 (2MOA) sight, and a brutally bright flashlight from Pentagon lights. I also added a single point sling mount (Midwest Industires), a one point sling (RS Tactical) and a pair of OD green rail covers. To set it apart from other SBRs and to make my evil rifle offensive, I added a "polite greeting" to my dust cover (couresty of Noveske Rifleworks). I'll let the Link at the end explain this. Warning: May contain words that offend or upset certain individuals, Click with care!!! http://s542.photobucket.com/albums/gg402/ulkowskim/?action=view&current=SBR005.jpg
  14. I've had good luck with the cheaper 6/8ft HDMI cables from Walmart. They seem to have the best local price.
  15. My SBR progress: Mailed in paperwork- 24OCT Approved- 20JAN Picking up lower- THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D
  16. That's the same thought I had. What is this going to solve? I guess all the crooks and criminals are going to comply also?!? Although I am open to all ideas, I might suggest alternate legislation- TERM LIMITS!
  17. A logical person would provide a qualified person, HCP holders, the ability to defend themselves from this criminal element. So where ever there is a threat to society, we must go unarmed? :screwy:

  19. Oh I have an outstanding offer and I will take him up on it when I return home. There is only so much a book can teach you. I feel the real lessons learned will come from hands-on and guidance from a seasoned reloader.
  20. Range, power, and adaptability. At first I wanted something that will reach out to 600-1000 yards. Well, I can't afford a Barrett .50 or Aramlite AR-50. So I started looking for the next step down. Well a friend recommended the 6.8SCP. It was pointed out that I didn't need another complete weapon. I could swap uppers on my .223 AR and get more distance. So I started reading up on the 6.8 round. The 6.8 was designed as a upgraded round for the military 5.56. As I understand this round was designed for under 300 yard use. It loses its punch out beyond 300m, where the 6.5 is still supersonic at 1200 yards. My thinking: Range- 600+ yards Power- Greater terminal velocity than 6.8 Adapability- I can purchase/swap an upper rather than buying a new complete rifle You do bring up a good point about the current number of purchase options. It's not a popular and readily available caliber. If I do go with this choice, I will begin reloading this round. I am currently up in Vermont and I found a great little gun shop that has great prices on 6.5 bullets and new, unprimed brass (better prices than Midway).
  21. Nice rifle! If you drop Gus off, he can chase the pistol laser along with the older Hero Gear dog.
  22. I am right handed and I wear my OWB holster on my left hip (butt facing forward). I did this because it was very uncomfortable to sit in my vehicle with the holster on my strong (right) side. I dont have any issues with a cross-draw incase I need to use it. I also wear my cell phone on my right hip, so its very crowded if I place everything on the right side.
