OK, gotcha. Initially, I was under the assumption the weapon had to be in a separate case, then this case would travel along with my checked bag. I had no idea the case could be placed inside a checked bag. I plan to use my factory Sig case, locked, then put it into my larger rolling bag that I typically check. That will provide enough protection, unless the baggage handlers decide to throw my bag off the roof. When I get to my destination, will my bag come out on the baggage claim conveyer or will I have to claim it at another baggage location (similar to collecting skis or other larger items)?

That's truly messed up. Only thing missing is our SSN on that computer screen. I can see me trying to order reloading supplies. "Sorry sir, you just received 4000 bullets and 16lbs of powder. I will have to alert the authorities to your persistent ordering habits. Please hold".

I saw an inexperienced, stuttering person repeating stump speeches, a person who is out of his league, a person that doesn;t have a clue what to do. I suspect their isn;t anyone in DC that is saying "I have a solution". Instead, they decide to pile on everything that they were unable to get passed in recent years, in the name of a stimulus. Lies about no ear-marks, lies about growing 4+ million jobs, lies about gov't is the only solution.......I wanted to throw the remote through the TV. He then blames this on unscrupulious wall street types, instead of saying, we in congress and grass-roots orgs (ACORN, which will get millions from this bill) pushed for these bad loans, which, OPPS, went south. Owning a home is a right of every citizen....BS....if you work hard and save your pennies you get what you can afford. Something about a "free-lunch" comes to mind. Then on top of this bogus bill, the treasury says the new TARP will cost between 1-2 TRILLION more. WTF?!?!? We will be lucky if the Repubs can pull those 3 traitors from the dark-side after they hash out the compromise bill. I read someones signature line lately that said "torches and pitchforks in 09".....It may come to that if this crap goes through.

After reading this I had a thought, what a slap for all Americans to survive a revolution, establish a new government, free people from the bounds of slavery, grow to be a world power, provide support and aid for weaker countries, and then enslave its own people. People who fails to learn the lessons of history will repeat them. Guess we are about to see this cycle first hand.

I can live with that designation. As per the founding fathers, I am within my rights. Bullets may hurt, but relinquishing my given rights may be worse. I'm no superhero, but I know where my loyalties lie. Time will tell how I respond, if this issue comes to the forefront.

Update: Found the answer on the TSA website. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1666.shtm I will retain the key or combination. As I read it, it does not have to be a TSA openable lock.
