  1. BTW. Interestin interview prior to quitting: Top Shot: An in Depth Interview with Jake Zweig from Top Shot Season 3 | Bleacher Report He claims he just did all this to "be seen" in order to advance his coaching career.
  2. I've been trying to give this guy the benefit of the doubt for weeks because he's one of the better competitors. I thought maybe he's genuine about his strategy of being such a jerk to distract the other guys (a good strategy to win 100 grand). But, after last night it's clear that he has some emotional problems that make for great TV, but only serve to work against him. He only ended up in the bottom 3 because he accidently actuated the safety. I'm sure he would've corrected that grip and been the clear favorite in the elimination challenge. He's aced his other elimination opponents easily. No reason for him not to be in the finale.
  3. I second this and feel the same about motorbikes. But, I gotta admit, I've never seen a cyclist flip off someone. On the other hand, I've seen many a bird fly out of a car, especially after they've broken 3 different laws trying to get around other cars, let alone bicycles. Auto drivers are much more dangerous & rude.
  4. Doesn't matter to my bottom line who's at fault. Not my problem. I said buh-bye to Regions after 12+ years (another Union Planters transplant). No BS fees with my credit union.
  5. Video is up of Lott's presentation. Get comfy, it's over an hour. Vanderbilt Young Americans for Liberty: Dr. John R. Lott Jr. on Concealed Carry on Campus
  6. Butch's Bore Shine for all my bores. Hoppes for everything else. Breakfree LP for stuff needin' oilin'. Militec Grease for stuff needin' greasin'. Rem 700 gets RemOil 'cause the manual says so. Spit & Snot for my Glock 'cause...it's a Glock.
  7. Please don't clear jams with your face. Thank You! Carry on. . .
  8. Detaining some random mentally disabled guy because of his "bulge" sounds more than a bit suspicious to me. We will hear a lot more about these guys in the near future. And it won't be good.
  9. In the end, zombies win. Vampires can't drink from the dead, so buh-bye due to starvation. Plus, when they get infected (and they will when starvation makes them do stupid things), they'll stupidly shamble right into the sunlight. I can't believe Deadliest Warrior actually went there. The doctor guy must get teased every single day at the hospital.
  10. This scenario doesn't exist in the author's mind because, as he put it: "You would need an army of gangsters, or the Secret Service, on your side. In other words, you would need the government (or a similar organization) to step in and protect you." He freely ignores the multitude of cases where victims successfully defended themselves against an armed assailant, but instead focuses on an emotional story about his suicidal friend. There is no reasoning with people like this. Wish I had known about Lott's visit. I was free Mon. night and would've gone. No video of this on their site yet: www.yalvandy.com
  11. YEP! Every single day! Then I'd pose with my "Lady Pyramid" for good measure. Just 'cause. Don't be a H8r, lol.
  12. Times really are getting rough when Charlie's Angels start robbing people. Is Bosley selling crack now too?
  13. I wonder if taxidermists hate on "Mounted in Alaska" as much as internet-forum gunnies hate on SOG. Going by the SOG haterade they dish out on the interwebz, I bet if I went to some taxidermy forum and posted, "Mounted in Alaska is pretty kewl, is that how you guys do it in real life?". . . I would probably get flamed from here to Hades. It's impossible to have a "reality" show on any subject with the professionals/enthusiasts of that subject giving it 100% approval. If SOG had everything I wanted, like DETAILED gunsmithing demonstrations, it wouldn't have lasted 3 weeks. It's entertaining enough though for the reality-based format it uses (Extreme Home Makeover, American Chopper, etc.). Seems like a fun place to work. Jerry Miculek going head-to-head with a full-auto. Heck Yeah! More stuff like that please. Tannerite Armageddon Explosions of Doom are getting real old real fast though. No fun to watch that every week if I can't do it live. It's like watching the firemen ignite blasting caps in cub scout camp every summer. I don't want to watch, I want to play! Speaking of . . . Steph's new-found cleavage. . . see above.
  14. Remember, in a "civilized society" it's best to let the un-civilized rape & pillage, and just keep a stiff upper lip, pip-pip, and such. You might lose everything, but at least you have your dignity. Well, unless you're dead. Batter up! Sent from my HTC Incredible using Tapatalk Pro

  16. Brady Campaign should hire this cop. He's a perfect poster child for the "law enforcement" that should be the only ones carrying guns. Heck they could put this video right next to the vid of Plaxico Burress on their front page.
  17. Had them on a Glock 19 for about a year. Better than the stock sights for sure. But I replaced them with some Heine Slant Pros after I figured out that I was just as fast with a 3-dot setup and more accurate.
  18. This .380 model story has me concerned about the engineering & materials. If they've made a change/design update with the 9mm version, it would make me feel better. I was looking forward to these guns when first announced. Nice pocket pistols that look very Glock-ish and I was hoping for "Glock-ish" reliability.
  19. This article is missing the part I read in other articles about what activated the more intensive search. Apparently, the screener felt something suspicious in the first patdown. They have no choice but to do a more thorough screening at that point. I doubt the screener really wanted to dig through a soiled diaper at that point, but if it revealed a bomb, we would be hailing the poor schmuck as a hero right now. 20. I agree. Plus, even the staunchest anti has no choice but to vote for him in 2012. Like they're gonna vote for Palin out of spite? I don't think so. Even the VPC hasn't made a statement yet. And no anti group runs its mouth like the VPC: VPC - The Violence Policy Center - Press Releases
  21. Brady Bunch is loving this: Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence : Media I'm a little surprised that Helmke is taking this in stride, but now that I think about it, it's really this part of Obama's article that is pure brilliance: "The fact is, almost all gun owners in America are highly responsible. They're our friends and neighbors. They buy their guns legally and use them safely, whether for hunting or target shooting, collection or protection. And that's something that gun-safety advocates need to accept." and this part too: "I know some aren't interested in participating. Some will say that anything short of the most sweeping anti-gun legislation is a capitulation to the gun lobby." How could the Brady Bunch openly criticize this if they really want people to believe that they aren't for total bans? Obama put them in their place here (that's what you get for giving him an F, lol) and they have no choice but to bend over and take it. Pure politics. But make no mistake, privately, they are LIVID. Helmke's office probably looks worse than Japan right now. O gave them nothing to work with.
  22. Be careful at school with any weapon. For example, Vanderbilt prohibits the possession of any weapon on campus including blades or batons. Check with campus security for any rules like that. Sent from my HTC Incredible using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Agreed about the annoying chick. I got over that teen angst crap with those brat pack movies in the 80's. I'm all grown up now and Robert Downey Jr. didn't become cool to me until he was Iron Man. And how am I supposed to take a bedazzled vampire seriously? Last time I saw Blade with diamonds, he was in New Jack City.
