  1. This guy does it differently. I haven't seen it done this way before, but it looks good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoawhsmKIEY
  2. I would add good walking boots, a balaclava or face mask, and a liter of water. Also, just because you are warm, or even hot on the way to where you decide to wait, doesn't mean you will stay warm. Standing still saps warmth out of you.
  3. I've never seen anyone butcher a deer like he does.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoawhsmKIEY
  4. Is this the driver board for the Monitor? Maybe you can find an iMac that has a busted screen that you can swap over. As far as repairing the board, very few consumer electronics items have been built in the last 20 years that have boards that can be repaired as a rule. It;s just how they have been built for a long time. Good luck.
  5. Mine is a '64 99e in .308. Plain stock, but light. Defiantly a shooter. Yours is really nice. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll bring home the bacon.
  6. Check out a Savage 99. That way you can keep on with your lever action lovin', and still give a .308 thumpin'.
  7. This is what hunting guide says.   In Region IV, wild hogs may be taken on any big game hunt on the North Cherokee; any deer or turkey hunt on Kyker Bottoms Refuge; and on any hunt, small game or big game, on the Foothills WMA and the entire North Cumberland WMA.
  8. What can you tell me about it? It's about an hour away, and supposedly has many pigs in it. Where do you park? Is it marked as a state park? Bears? Have you had good luck? Thanks in advance.
  9. Check out Palmetto State Armory. Great prices for quality goods. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/
  10. Do you need the 094 if you have an annual  sportsman's? Can you take a doe with just the sportsman's?
  11. This is what the TWRA is saying about the hike: http://www.tn.gov/twra/license_fee_info/LICENSE%20FEE%20STRUCTURE%20RELEASE%20-%20FINAL%20.pdf   http://www.tn.gov/twra/license_increase_2014.html
  12. Mix together 16 oz. pack of chorizo (real chorizo not johnsonville) and your meat (1 lb venison or ground beef), your dry spices (chili powder, cumin, onion and garlic powder, and some smoked paprika). Brown the meat mix with some chopped onions and bell peppers. Once that is done you can drain the oil if you wish or just transfer everything to either a crock pot or regular pot. Add a can of Bush’s Best Texas Ranchero Grillin' Beans, a can of black beans , a can of diced tomatoes with green chili to your taste, or just diced tomatoes. Add beer if you want. A jar of you salsa. Use whatever you like. I like the smokey chipolte. A small can of chipolte peppers. Use one or two, or more if you really like it hot. Just dice them up real good before you add them. (optional) A small can of corn and some chopped mushrooms. Just let simmer so all the flavors mix. Either a few hours or even over night. Add salt to taste. Good with cornbread, with cheese, or just about anyway you can think to serve it.
  13. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/SavageStevensSpringfieldFox-33479/Rifles-40502/10Series-39671/10GY-33635.htm   Like this?
  14. I had one for a while. There was no problem with .357's outside of cost. Fun great looking guns.
