  1. WOW I would think that a renewal would be a "slam dunk" and take no time at all....
  2. I turned mine in on the 22nd so maybe mine will come next week too. I called on 1/09 for the follow up call. I was told that everything was back except the BG.
  3. Congrats.. When did you turn your stuff in?
  4. Welcome
  5. Hellllloooooo
  6. Dang I missed the sites at hte GFA table. I do get caught "looking" at the table where they lady has all the M1 Garand parts though.
  7. I went with two other guys and we were there an hour and half. All of us left with new bangmakers. Deals can still be found there imo.
  8. Fingers crossed for ya
  9. I will be there at 9am ... I hope that the guy I saw last time with a M1A is there again. If he is I will come home with it.
  10. I just called... everything is back except the BG check. I was told that the wait is running a full 90 days. I will call again in 21 more days. It has been 20 days (today) since I turned in my fingerprints.
  11. I like my Kimber's.. I have two pre-series II Kimbers and have added a Grand Raptor II (internal extractor)to the mix recently. My two Compact (Compact Custom & Compact Aluminum) are both Great shooters for 4-inch barreled guns. They will feed about any ammo and I have never had any issues out of either of them. They are accurate as I can shoot and a great carry size firearm. However, I do change out the recoil springs (Wolff XP for 4-inch) every 800 rounds or so in the 4-inch guns just in case. I hope to shoot the Raptor II soon to see if the Gen II gun will act the same as my other two. I know that they all have MIM parts in them but that is "ok" for now. I have only ever had one MIM part fail and that was in a Colt gun. I do hope to get an Ed Brown Kobra Carry soon... but I want to see what Phillip at Goodlettsville gun shop can do on a custom .45 first. My next .45 will not have MIM parts so that leaves Wilson, Ed Brown, Nighthawk, and a few other custom builders in the running.
  12. Wow, that is most impressive! I applaud you for doing it the safe/natural way. That Sir is an awesome display of willpower, determination, and dedication.

  16. NICE! I hope that I am as lucky on my Bday LOL
  17. Very Cool! I do remember when you posted that pic... I am glad our families were looking out for us and left us '51 Commanders
  18. Thanks one more that I forgot ... Not a safe Queen but is a P226 West German made
  19. Man I need to build a box... I keep putting it off. Nice work and great photos!
  20. Yesterday I had the opportunity to take a few pic's of guns that needed their annual cleaning. The is the 1951 (serial 12,xxx) that had a good cleaning for '09. The LWC has been in my family many years. Is bone stock other than the grips. I do not have the original plastic grips or I would put them back on the gun. Next is a Clark Pinmaster Colt .45 ACP on a Series 80 Frame. I shot this one a week or so ago so it too needed a cleaning. It is a 1990 Clark Pinmaster by Jim Clark. http://www.bullseyepistol.com/clark.htm Not a safe queen but I will share a pic in case some wanna check it out. It is an older pic but my Kimber Compact Custom had "lube job" yesterday as well. Next is a Walther PPK Lightweight Nazi Eagle-N in .32 ACP. Again in my family for many years. Last is a BHP that was my grandfathers. It is a 1973 series BHP with the Bianchi holster that he gave it to me in. He was not huge on cleaning his guns so this one shows some abuse marks...it still means the same to me though I ran out of time or I would have more to share... I still smell of Hoppes #9, CLP, & WD-40 today LOL.
  21. LOL I would not go for all the $$$ in the world.
