http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Judicial-Watch-943339.html More on the link above: WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - January 29, 2009) - Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has filed a lawsuit against newly sworn-in Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on behalf of U.S. Foreign Service Officer and State Department employee David C. Rodearmel, (Rodearmel v. Clinton, et al., (D. District of Columbia)). The lawsuit maintains that Mrs. Clinton is constitutionally ineligible to serve as Secretary of State and that Mr. Rodearmel cannot be forced to serve under the former U.S. Senator, as it would violate the oath he took as a Foreign Service Officer in 1991 to "support and defend" and "bear true faith and allegiance" to the Constitution of the United States.

The Federal law referes to the conditions of the charge by the State. If the State has expunged the offense and there are no special conditions then there is not a violation of federal law. http://www.bwlap.org/TAPs/fedfirearmcorrected.PDF As of September 30, 1996, the new law went into effect. However, the prohibition also applies to persons convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence at any time prior to September 30, 1996. Therefore, as of the effective date, any person who has ever been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence may no longer possess a firearm or ammunition.3 With respect to all persons convicted, the law would not apply if the conviction is procedurally defective due to representation or trial issues (e.g. constitutional rights to counsel and/or a jury trial were not knowingly and intelligently waived). Also, the law would not apply if the conviction has been expunged, set aside, pardoned, or reversed and the person is not otherwise prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. 3 The State of TN will allow firearm ownership due to an expungment. The handgun permit application is not online any longer but the application does included language that a conviction is not a offense that has been expunged or set aside. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#a8 A person is not considered convicted for Gun Control Act purposes if he has been pardoned, had his civil rights restored, or the conviction was expunged or set aside, unless the pardon, expungement, or restoration expressly provides the person may not ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms. The OP does seem to have an issue if his Tic's are being denied. I suggest that he contact an attorney and get the issue(s) resolved ASAP. If his expungement has not been processed then he is in violation of State and Federal law if he has in his possession the handgun that he mentioned in his original post. If the expungement had been processed he would have been mailed an official court document of the regarding the expungement. <O:p

100% agree All too often things that are done at one point in time are much more difficult to "undo" later. I would like to see it mandatory for every politician that is on the BAN-wagon to view videos like this.

I have been calling them all day.. No answer. I wonder if they had an ice storm or something. No voicemail or anything. The phone rings and cuts the line off with a busy signal. I will try to call them tomorrow.

They want their guns back! Sorry if it is a repost..if so delete. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTq2NEUlhDE[/ame]

Thank you Sir
-
Oooo that is nice... Congrats

I am going to call them again tomorrow. I want their "bullet proof" slide stop in ODG. After talking to some folks the extended slide stop may cause premature lock back. I would hate to go through the hassle of sending them my stop to only get it back with a new problem (premature lock back).

I picked up a used CQB a few weeks ago. I was able to get it out to the range this past Saturday and run 400+ rounds through it. This is my first Wilson and it is a dream to shoot. I better get more pratice in... this gun shoots much better than I do. It does have a problem. It would not lock back on an empty mag 8 out of 10 times. Ok, so I tried three other Wilson 47D's and no luck. I tried friends Kimpro and it would lock open sometimes. I asked the gunsmith at Guns & Leather (Great guy)to give it a once over. He agreed that the mag's were in good order and that the follower was doing its' job. He saw the gun dirty and said to clean and oil it well. "Maybe it will break in", he said. When I got it home, I cleaned and oiled with Wilson ultmalube. Afterwards it would lock open 25% of the time when I racked the slide. The plunger is TIGHT and the original OD slide stop has a "notch" it. With the slide off and the stop in the frame, a mag would pop the SS up. My spare Wilson Extended SS (new in pkg) does not have a notch in the SS. I put the Extended in and the slide stop would catch every time... with the slide on. Back to happy Now my only problem is a blue slide stop on a Black and OD Green CQB. I am going to call Wilson tomorrow and see what they will do for me. ***Update today (Monday) I just got off the phone with Wilson. GREAT Customer Service! My options are to send the gun back to them for them to fit a new OD SS in the gun. Or, I can mail them the extended SS out of my parts bin (new) and they will finish it in any color that I want. Now my question is ...is the Extended 7B SS as strong as the bullet proof slide stop? Should I even worry about it? I do like the idea of the extended SS but I do not want to have a breakage down the road. Would you guys opt for the bullet proof over the extended that seems cast or MIM?

I thought that it might have been the brass. I will say that the batch I bought this week was much better looking brass.
-
Was it the Blazer Brass by chance? I have thought that about the brass myself. Seems like a slow burn or something...
-
One more positive about Blazer is that it is better than steel cased Wolf ammo IMO. The steel is much harder on the extractor than the aluminum or brass stuff.
-
If you dont reload the Balzer is fine. I bought all the Blazer Brass (.45) that wally world had this week. Some say that Blazer is "Dirtier" than other ammo... but I claen my guns after a range visit anyway so that is not a deal killer for me.
