  1. But again, don't you have to inform the person that they are being placed under arrest?
  2. Wife has a Model 36 S&W and loves it 5 shot revolver. Then again, I am partial to auto's so would go with the Kel-Tec if purchasing new.
  3. In light of the recent off duty deputy rampage, I think more people in Wisconsin should have guns for protection.
  4. While I appreciate the fact that you can no longer smoke in an establishment open to persons under the age of 21, I agree. The legislature had no business making it a law that you can't smoke there. I believe in the rights of property owners and if Bobcat's wants to sell beer and allow smoking, I have the right not to go there. End of story. Our government has spent the last 100 years trampling on individual rights "for the good of society" yet they don't put these things to a vote of the society. I personally say, FIRE THEM ALL!!!! Yes we would have to elect new ones, but maybe then the big boys would realize who REALLY has the power (or is supposed to at least.)
  5. In order to be arrested don't you have to be read your Miranda rights and doesn't the officer have to tell you that you are being placed under arrest?
  6. Willie only "won" this election because the 55 % of the population that DIDN'T want him in office couldn't get behind 1 candidate. He was smart enough to know this and didn't go to the debates because he might have lost some of his 42%. That wouldn't have been good. Oh well, next term I am running on the write in ballot.
  7. Glock - Come on you can borrow some of my toys, you just have to feed them.
  8. The real problem is that the Republicans did not have a candidate they could get behind. We had to choose the lesser of 3 evils. Had Willingham stepped out of it long ago and the Republican Party backed one of the other two candidates, things might have been different. Memphis deserves what it gets. We deserve to be the highest violent crime city in the country as long as this bafoon is running things. Oh well all I can do is exactly what I did. Vote, tell my friends and family and strangers to vote. When the time is right, I will be moving from this city. Unfortunately a 93 year old woman that refuses to move is keeping me here.
  9. Greetings from a fellow Memphian. I am trying to organize an Oct 21 get together at RangeUSA. You are more than welcome to come join.
  10. Would be lovely, but I don't see it happening in my lifetime in TN. Then again, I also don't see bars, parks, etc happening.
  11. Welcome to the board. We are trying to set up a get together for the 21st at Range USA. Seach for West Tennessee Get together and post there if you would like to attend.
  12. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't these permits also have to be predominantly displayed?
  13. Pack up the kids and family, we are moving to Kentucky!!@!
  14. Sorry, Right to Privacy DOESN'T exist: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. This means that they can't just walk up and start searching you (though it is done) and they can't just walk in your home (though they do) with out cause. Then again, I thought I had a right to free speech.
  15. Okay - can we agree on the weekend of the 20-21 at Range USA? Good time of day for me is between 12:30 and 2:30. I think they open at 1 on Sundays. If this month isn't good, what about November. Any weekend but Thanksgiving and I should be able to be in.
  16. Thanks, Len. That is the best info I could get. I will probably get one soon. Since I carry a 19 also, but sometimes a 92FS and sometimes a 1911 I think I will go with the large box.
  17. I am curious though. Since while on the road the tour bus is considered your home, does that have any bearing? I know that when I went to an "event" in a state park, we were told that the tents that we were living in and the "hotel" (they had rooms in a long house for rent) that we were renting out were our home, they could not "bust us" for alcohol.
  18. Mars, don't worry, the only ones that would recognize that were in the first desert war. Something called a scud or dud missile if I am not mistaken.
  19. I prefer Lone Star Beer, but yup I remember Stroh's.
  20. I remember that movie. Didn't it have Bob Goldthwait in it?
  21. My point is this, if it is okay to let a police officer go on a speeding ticket, or tail light or running a stop sign etc. Then it should be okay to let EVERYONE go on the same infraction. I understand the camaraderie associated with being a police officer. I respect the job that you do and at one time wanted to do it myself. But as I can't express often enough CHARACTER IS DOING THE RIGHT THING WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING (thank you Mr. Watts.) So think of that the next time you right ANYONE a ticket for speeding. Is this something I would let another police officer or family member get away with. If it is, don't write the ticket. If it isn't write the ticket. Or conversely and this is what I and many other people would prefer. If you stop one of your officer buddies or their family members or your family member, think is this something I would write ANYONE else a ticket for. If the answer is yes, write the ticket. That would go a long way to proving to the rest of us civilians (I hate the use of that word when it comes to police vs. citizens) that there is no disparity between a law ENFORCEMENT officer and the rest of us ORDINARY folks. Thanks and have a great day.
  22. I always paid last.
  23. As long as it isn't a Glock I say go for it.
  24. Hey - back off of Memphis. They don't issue RPG's it wouldn't do any good. Flak Jackets is a whole different story though.
