  1. That's true. I think that Tebow kid is going to get mighty lucky tonight.
  2. Wow, the TGO All Star Jamboree..... How many guitar players do we have and why did you pick it up in the first place. Be honest - I did it to get chicks. It worked, until I got older and then I found that giving a good massage could get you a lot further than singing an 80's power ballad.
  3. You forgot to add "AGAIN" at the end of that statement, Towermonkey - oh wait climber (same thing)
  4. I enjoy spending time with the wife and kids. I play guitar. I like to try wood working though with two small children there never is enough time. I like riding around in the Jeep. I tend to stay home as much as possible other than riding in the Jeep. We end up shopping more than I would like, but that is typical.
  5. Um, yeah, I'm gonna need you to come in on Saturday. Samir naga naga not gonna work here anymore.
  6. If Vandy hospital is considered part of the campus, it is a no no isn't it? I know that University of Memphis is and I thought all schools under the Board of Regents were off limits unless it was for an officially sanctioned event.
  7. Congratulations. Glad you were able to get things cleared up.
  8. Do I get the smartees if I buy it? P.S. you spell your name wrong!!!
  9. I am not sure but if Vandy is a "teaching" hospital and affiliated with Vanderbilt University wouldn't it be an off limits regardless of the signage? P.S. Test you knowledge here: http://crime.about.com/library/blgunquiz_tn.htm
  10. And here I thought that all bullet casings already had unique identifiers. Such as the dimple on the primer where the firing pin hits it. The marks left by the extractor. Etc. Not to mention, the bullet itself has identifying marks. So, lets make one more hoop for gun manufacturers to go through in order to sell their perfectly legal as designed product in one state. I would love to see more manufacturers do what Barrett did. Stop selling to the police in California. Stop selling at all in California. See how their tax base leaves when they can't purchase ANY guns in that state.
  11. So I guess putting a Lego Police officer would be out of the question too?
  12. I reject your reality and will substitute my own. Thanks for playing. By the way, I shoot 9mm.
  13. Mindset is a wonderful thing. Just ask my wife. I don't care how many classes you take. Remember, as the old saying goes, It's not the size of the dog in the fight its the size of the fight in the dog. You come up against me by myself and I don't know how I would react. You come up against me when I am with my family and one of us isn't walking out of there.
  14. A lot of people don't do it because they don't have to. Only if the officer asks for it are you required to present it. Unless your gun was on your hip in plain sight, there was really no reason you should have had to give him the permit. That being said, I think it does tell the officer, "Hey, I'm a good guy." But that is just my opinion.
  15. I don't know about you, but I can't wait for the cooler weather to get here. I should never have come back from Delaware when I got out of the Air Force, but with no family and no job up there it would have been VERY difficult. Besides, I wouldn't have met my wife and wouldn't have 2 wonderful children. But back to the original topic. Yes, I am very very glad summer is finally starting to poop out.
  16. Welcome. Where in Montana should I move. I hate the weather down here.
  17. As if there was a doubt:
  18. I laughed my butt off when I saw this over my breakfast this morning. My wife loved it and cut it out of the paper. I think it will be my desktop tomorrow at work.
  19. mmmmm.....Donuts!!!!!!
  20. So, Nate, what would be reasonable about Class III weapons? Personally, as long as I can pass the requirements, why can't I have one? And why shouldn't manufacturers be allowed to create/sell them to the general public even if they are brand new? Can you imagine what the cost of an M-16 would be if Colt/Bushmaster/et al. were allowed to manufacture them for the civilian sector? I can assure you it wouldn't be the several thousand dollars that it is now.
  21. Where is the recipe for that Jack Daniels Chocolate Pie!!!!! 0Down, We have met, we have had lunch on a couple of occasions. I was personally, to some degree, called on the carpet by Yeager over a choice of shooting styles, if you recall. We discussed it at great length and what I found was that I could do it and would if I needed to. Mr. Yeager was unwilling to budge and basically called me stupid for something that I wanted information on. On the opposite side, Shay has been very helpful even going so far as to post information about some of his competitors. The comments I make about Yeager really have nothing to do with his actions or lack there of in "combat" you are right, we weren't there, and as I stated, unless your life is TRULY on the line, you don't know how you will react. Sorry you think this site has slipped, maybe since you haven't been around posting in a while you haven't seen that the group has grown to a good size and group of people. Stick around, I think you will enjoy what you see. Just forget about Yeager. I too agree with Tungsten on some of the content of the original post. President Ronald Reagan once wrote “I won the nickname the great communicator. But I never thought it was my style that made a difference - it was the content.” The content of the first post was poor. The style was worse. These are my opinions, but had the OP posted more of an informational piece rather than a bad assed piece, we might have taken it a little better.
  22. Joe, I think you got those two roles reversed, but basically the truth. Yeager did spout off like a spoiled little rich kid.
  23. Training helps. Good training, bad training, it's all a wonderful thing. My question is this, during this Force and Force training, was there ever a REAL POSSIBILITY that you would be killed? I seriously doubt it. Hurt maybe, but not killed, and until you are in a situation where a VERY REAL bullet hurtles past you or at you or in to you at a high rate of speed, you will never know how you are going to react. I can recall my very first night at boot camp. The TI's were walking up and down our group screaming at just about everyone for just about anything. (They were very good at that.) The head TI stopped at me and asked why I joined HIS Air Force. My answer, all be it the truth, was probably not the best thing to say to him. "To get money for college." His response was, didn't you think you might have to take a bullet and die for your country in order to get this money for college? To which I responded, "Yes, I don't like the thought, but if that's what it takes...." I think by this time I had all of the TI's yelling at me. And before anyone makes a joke about it being the Air Farce and they are in the rear with the gear, you may be right, but the last time I checked, they all wear the uniform, they all carry the guns, and they ALL have a very real chance of dying, especially in todays modern warfare. So, if Mr. Yeager would like to come to Memphis and talk to me, I am more than willing to listen to what he has to say. If he wants to come here with an attitude of being better than me because he went over to Iraq or any other place, I don't care. He wasn't there in support of the country, he was a civilian contractor making a heck of a lot more money than our boys and girls do and he should remember that he was able to leave ANY TIME HE WANTED TO!!!! Our boys and girls in uniform don't get that choice. Oh, I too have the most respect for Mars. So do most of the people that know him personally. Librarian or not!!! And getting yourself off of the X is great but fleeing the fight and not providing cover for your buddies to get off of the X is reprehinsible.
  24. I agree with women in the military, however, I also think that equal rights are just that regardless of race, creed, color, sexual orientation, IQ, etc. I don't care who you are, if you want to join, join, but by God, you are held to the EXACT same standards as anyone else. No special treatment because it's "that time of the month" or because your great great great grandfather was a slave, or because you hurt your little toe this morning. That goes for everything, not just the military.

    Walther PPS

I would definitely want to use the extended 7 shot magazines as I don't like my little finger just wagging in the breeze.
