  1. I know we all hate to do it, but some times it is easier to read the instructions first than having to take everything apart and start over using the instructions. Don't let my wife know I said that.
  2. Food, Medicine, Clothing etc are not "Tax-Free" but EVERYONE gets a Pre-Bate every month to accommodate for these things based on the poverty level. According to the site, my family would get about $525 a month to cover the taxes that are paid on the necessities of life. Anything above and beyond that we would have to pay taxes on. It would do away with the IRS COMPLETELY!!!! I have looked over it and need to do some more reading, but it looks like a sound proposal to me. Go Fred - Are you ever going to announce?
  3. Wow, are the conditions so bad over there for our rifles that the troops have started throwing the entire bullets at people? I don't know about you, but I would love to meet the guy that can throw one of those and kill some one.
  4. I emailed him so we will see what he has to say.
  5. Wish I could make it, you can add my name to that list.
  6. I stand however I feel comfortable. I don't know what you would call my stance, but I like it and I can hit what I am aiming at.
  7. My wife is a great shot. She picked out and S&W 36 Chief's Special without ever shooting it. The next day we went to the range and she blew the X out of the middle of the target with her first shot. Second shot made the first one look like a sideways figure 8. For this reason, I try not to make her angry. But yes, a woman with the power to use a gun is a great thing. It means that she will never be a victim.
  8. What, bteague, you wait until your prescriptions are ready before heading to Wal-Mart?
  9. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070811/D8QUHEGO0.html Animal Cruelty, that goat didn't say no!
  10. He had 2 small caliber handguns and a 9mm semi-automatic machine pistol according to this article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070813/ap_on_re_us/church_shooting_14;_ylt=AgQcOf3HRDsFy8xaQkYClUAE1vAI Should you carry in church, well you shouldn't have to but if you are smart, you want to. I think it is sad that people do this, then again, it is sad that they do half the stuff that they do.
  11. If you have been convicted of a crime that is punishable by more than 11 months 29 days, you may have issues with purchasing a firearm. I know plenty of people with DUI's on their record that have purchased firearms.
  12. I have a few pair of these just for this reason. I thought everyone knew about this little trick.
  13. Neifeh keeps helping to redraw his district so he gets elected.
  14. Mike, I NEVER consume alcohol when I have a loaded firearm on me. I agree, alcohol and firearms do not mix. I was thinking more along the lines of if your friend happened to be the franchisee of say Outback Steakhouse. I am not really trying to "get around the law and common sense" it was a conversation starter since the wording on the statute is almost as vague as "I got it." You have no idea what I "got" and if you even wanted "it" to begin with. I would love to see the law changed to allow carry in places where smoking is banned. Most of your "neighborhood bar and grills" will be smoke free coming in October. Personally, I hate when the law states that a person cannot do with their establishment what they want. I like the fact that more restaurants are going to be smoke free, but I don't think the city or state has a right to tell the business owner what they can do on their property as far as that is concerned. With it, I think it should be left up to the business owner to determine whether or not they want to allow guns in their establishment. I think the government has MUCH better things to waste its time on then whether I can responsibly carry a loaded firearm into Applebee's, have a steak dinner and leave with out consuming alcohol. That is just my opinion though and shouldn't be taken as word of gospel.
  15. Since guns are outlawed in Canada - however did this happen? http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070809/ts_nm/shooting_dc_1;_ylt=Akp42B_jcCgevbeRhKINqgUE1vAI
  16. Okay - the bad puns are getting out of hand.
  17. Gosh, the statute doesn't say anything about being a bouncer or an armed gaurd. It simply states that an agent of the owner of the premisis with repsonsibility for protecting persons or property. I don't see where it says they have to be "armed gaurds" or bouncers. And for that matter, if it is your buddy, they could say, yah, that's my bouncer.
  18. You know, on a different forum board, that would be taken WAAYYY out of proportion and context. Here, we all know what you really use it for;)
  19. I was just curious, I don't know anyone with a bar(unfortunately) but if I did I sure would be asking hime about this one.
  20. Remember, if you aren't doing your part to pay for everyone else food, utilities, rent etc. then you aren't doing your part at all.
  21. NO Baseball Bats - good thing they don't know about the pistol in your pocket. I agree that the employees to some degree need to be informed if some psycho hose beast is planning on coming in to tear up the joint.
  22. But if you don't know what you are doing, it won't taste bad to you and you might find one you enjoy that your friends will leave alone. I remember offering a glass (as in 1) of my really good stuff to a friend of mine. I wasn't paying attention to what he was drinking after that or how much was in his glass. Next morning I checked my bottle and it was almost empty. After that, I keep the good stuff put up unless it is a really special occasion and only let him have the cheap stuff.Rabbi - nothing wrong with bourbon. I drink it too, just prefer the scotch. I find with the cheaper scotch's if you use a twist of lemon, not a piece of lemon, just a piece of the rind, it makes them more palatable.
  23. According to this: If my buddy asks me to "look after the place" while I am there, can I legally carry and conceal my handgun?
  24. Mars, I personally like Aberlour, but that is $50 per bottle so I prefer to only get it for special occasions. For a daily drinker, I go with Dewar's on the rocks and just run past a running faucet. I agree, Scotch and Soda is like drinking Milk and Pepsi.
  25. I agree with you, Molon. The government is "overstepping" it's bounds when it tries to limit my ability to live by enforcing laws to the contrary of my existence.
