  1. I'll be sneaking out for a few in the morn to try to stick one. Clear night won't help though, I bet they are cruising around the woods right now!
  2. I like it! While less likely to cause permanent hearing damage, I go this route. I always act interested, especially on the alarm systems and such, yet ask incredibly dumb questions. I let them give the spiel then I ask about setting the appointment. When they ask when, i make them work with a few dates then we agree on one. I give me excuses like I have to do my weekend time at the county pen, ooh that's rooster fighting Wednesday, sorry but I'm in a worlds tallest midget contest that day, ect. If they make it past that round of bs I usually try to give written directions from wherever they are because "I don't trust those PGS systems". But of course using landmarks like the giant Indian statue that fell over last year ect. Usually by now I've been hung up on or they have no clue and I start to describe an alien obduction or something similar...that gets me off the phone after I've had my fun with them.
  3. DONOTCALL.GOV is down now. Everyone is fair game for telemarketers now! I've received no less than 4 calls a day. This is getting stupid. Correction, this is stupid
  4. Hunted this evening. Checked the trail cam on the way out, time stamp on a pic showed 30 min before I got to my stand a coyote was popping a squat right in front of the cam, almost mocking me! When I go back this weekend to check the cam, I'll swap the memory card and post a pic for y'all to see. It's stupidly funny the expression this coyote has!
  5. Along the same lines has anyone used a laser designator for a scoped rifle? I have some decent gen 3 goggles, but would be curios of any 1st hand exp on the designators. Not trying to hijack, thought this might be valuable info as well related to the 200 yard part...
  6. My wife looked at me like I was stupid, I laughed so much I had tears in my eyes!
  7. Tennessee determines it's illegal finally... WSMV www.wsmv.com/story/23615096/tn-company-told-to-stop-offering-cell-phones-for-health-insurance
  8. All I can say is I wish I'd have learned that before the DD22 came at me! If you don't know what a DD22 is, just google or imagine a big crank bait covered in treble hooks!
  9. No the blood stopped literally an inch from the edge of the bluff. And I was shooting a satellite this time
  10. I can't find the link, but as soon as I do it will be here. Greg Warren standup comedian has a skit about Bigfoot that's hilarious. Fits right in here!
  11. Whoa whoa whoa, you're suggesting that that could or has happened?!?!
  12. Ooooouuuuucccchhhh!
  13. I'd bet money he had one of those terrible assault rifles /sarcasm/
  14. I'm pretty sure you and I pay for it as well. My health insurance went up $150 a month to "help" pay for obamacare. As far as I'm concerned them bundling in the phone is part of the deal. Someone is paying for it and that someone is us. The government gave them the loan to provide the service, and who pays for that? We do
  15. This should be a crime in itself
  16. Well Ruger I believe our luck is the same. I stuck one yesterday evening. Complete pass thru on the arrow. Good blood, let me rephrase that, good blood for over 300 yards, 2 fences, and into the river off a 15' bluff....I'm pretty sure the deer said F off, you're not eating me! Got it in go pro cam, shot her on the edge of the field, she takes off and I thought sweet the river will stop her...not so much this time. A first for me for sure
  17. Best thing to do with your old bow: re commission it into a bow fishing rig! $120 will get you the muzzy fish hook rest and a good retriever set up. Not as exciting as sticking a deer, but man it's fun. Just remember not to aim low once your back in the woods!
  18. Nice! Thanks. Will be using it today for sure!
  19. If you're ever down toward middle tn hit me up. I shoot as long as there are fish to shoot at. Not familiar with the Volunteer Landing, but we have some places that really draw attention when you're running lights and shooting behind 3-5 million dollar homes lol
  20. We "borrowed" them :-) then returned them
  21. Senior prank in high school. Turning 5 goats loose in the school. Numbered them 1,2,3,7,10 with spray paint. I know it's been done before, but even 13 yrs ago we got threatened about not graduating! Not the dumbest, but looking back it wasn't smart. Funny, but not smart...
  22. When I was younger, a buddy and I would pen the not so tame horses up in the barn, fashion a bridle out of a bucket handle and reigns out of bailing twine. Then ride as fast as they could go up and down the barn alley...
  23. And that my friends is how we ended up in this crap administration...
  24. Looks like you really paid some attention to details. The screws, rear sight, ect coated as well. I'd be interested in coating a lower and upper at some point, just haven't looked into it enough yet...
  25. Most of the time I use the head strap at a 45 degree angle. Bow hunting that it. It sits just over the outside corner of my left eye (right handed) and gives a pretty sick view of the arrow in flight. It looks just over the peep sight. If I'm filming a lot, I also mount one on an offset mount on the stabilizer aiming back at the shooter. It gives a pretty cool viewing angle too.
