  1.   Amen to that. I don't need a LWRC nor do I NEED a Ferrarri but I'd REEEEAAAALLLLLLLLYYYYYY like to have one...
  2. Also, thanks for your service, for that, you may have ONE...
  3. Welcome to the forum, if you want cookies, I have one word for you...
  4. Welcome cousin, there were cookies but I got tired of waiting... you went from meh quality weapon to outstanding quality. The R1's are also great buys for their bang for buck. It is an addictive hobby, even in this dried up economy of no ammo.
  5.   Google Maps is your friend. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Beaver+Dams,+NY&hl=en&ll=42.273498,-76.92421&spn=0.150899,0.417137&sll=36.139814,-85.515593&sspn=0.164693,0.417137&oq=beaver+dam&hnear=Beaver+Dams,+Schuyler,+New+York&t=m&z=12
  6. PTR-91, check gunbroker. Also look into a CETME BUT those are 50/50 hit or miss with quality, it IS a Century build after all. Just spend the extra bank and get the PTR and be happy straight out. Another option is the DSA SA-58, it's the reliable FAL platform and mags are somewhat available. Just for the record though, the HK91/PTR91/CETME platform has a higher recoil than most others due to it's delay roller blowback, compared to a piston or an DI system.
  7. Welcome from the hills cousin, we had cookies but uh... I got tired of waiting and requisitioned them. :yuck: The ammo isn't much better here, the places to go are pawn shops and mom & pop stores.
  8. Welcome from Cookevegas partner. I too am looking at getting into long distance as well.
  9. I played with a SAM7R at the Outpost Armory and was surprised by the trigger, that thing was CLEAN! I was blown away by the G2 two stage by Tapco, one of the few things they CAN do right, lol.
  10. I got a BCM but I cheated, got it off my Pop, lol.
  11. A full combat load at least, that's 300 rounds fyi.
  12. Welcome to the forum cousin, check out ORSA, they're in your neighborhood.
  13. Welcome to the forum and to one of the last free states...
  14.   U haf dshonured ma famili, thes meens woor!!!!!
  15. Awh man, I gots to work this Saturday, curses upon my work and it's douchebaggery!!!
  16. Ummm, WHAT?? You do realize that is the OPPOSITE of the truth right? It takes much longer to CHF a barrel rather than machine one. Here is a process of temperature forging;   All of the following forging processes can be performed at various temperatures, however they are generally classified by whether the metal temperature is above or below the recrystallization temperature. If the temperature is above the material's recrystallization temperature it is deemed hot forging; if the temperature is below the material's recrystallization temperature but above 30% of the recrystallization temperature (on an absolute scale) it is deemed warm forging; if below 30% of the recrystallization temperature (usually room temperature) then it is deemed cold forging. The main advantage of hot forging is that as the metal is deformed work hardening effects are negated by the recrystallization process. Cold forging typically results in work hardening of the piece.
  17. I like the concept of the Saiga just for the detachable mag, makes reloading a breeze comparatively.
  18. Sure, I'll have to plan for a day down there. Which day is it usually held on?   The weapons and mags I'm good on(with the exception of the 870's capacity), it's the 9mm and .223 ammo I'm really concerned about as I have SOME, do they restrict the rifle ammo? I only have irons on my carbine ST-15(Red Dot soon...) and am in the middle of piecing together a BCM Mid-16 for this very kind of thing that is going to have a variable power Weaver scope for mid-range.   Thanks for the advice everyone, I hope to see y'all soon!
  19. I have recently been introduced to the world of competetive shooting and LOVE IT! I want to break into three gun but am unsure as to what equipment will be needed, do I just need to attend one and go from there or are there some baseline pieces that I'll need to see me through? Please give me any intel you can as to what I'd need.
  20. Ammo's starting to slowly but surely trickle back in, but you won't see large quantities till probably July at the earliest.
  21. Welcome from the hills cousin. I'll take a slice of pizza when you arrive, in exchange I'll let you blast some of my evil "assault weapons". ;)
