  1. I told my wife I knew we were getting old because we love sitting and watching the hummingbirds feed on our back porch. Some of the fights rival the bests hockey fights I've seen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Wow, so very well done. Ten thousand atta boys wouldn't cover it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Where I grew up was about 15 minutes from a dirt race track. The gas station nearest to it sold 101 (I believe) octane racing fuel. In high school when me and my buddies got paid we would always go get a few gallons to feed the mighty worn out old 350 V8's we had in our trucks. Boy, we thought we were something lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Haha if I could bike it we'd be in business. Unfortunately my running days are over
  5. Man, I wish I had the feet for this. Unfortunately it's just not possible for me. Good luck with it all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Gear imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. What finish is that? I really wish mine had peep sights, even though I know conventional wisdom is that a bead is good enough for anything but slugs
  8. No worries, I often suffer from foot in mouth syndrome, just ask my wife!
  9. While I agree with your sentiment, here are my thoughts. 1) We generally don't have "mass stabbings". While murder is murder, those on the anti side do not see it that way. They see "gun violence", nothing else really matters to them. 2) Knives are not the greatest threat to an oppressive government. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Echo. I was skeptical of the set screw staying in place, but so far it has been golden.
  11. Not trying to speak for him but since he said he's using a glock cut bcg, the only reason to run one of those is for glock mags.
  12. Here's my shockwave gun. Still in progress but it's firing. I have a keymod light mount in route, and it needs a front sight and BCM kag grip. It's a 11.5" mid-length cut down from 14.5" barrel by our very own@Dolomite_supafly. Sorry about the crappy picture, will take better ones once it's actually finished.
  13. Oh wow good call, $40 cheaper and only an oz. difference. I wish that had been an option when I built, I would have used it too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. My suggestion, which is what I'm running right now, would be to use this buffer + Wolff xp buffer spring. Reasoning is the buffer itself is longer which does away with the need for spacers and such when using a regular carbine buffer...so no broken bolt catches. Also, it's heavier, which you'll need in a 10mm http://heavybuffers.com/9q.html If not it, I would run their "T" version, which is even heavier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I bought a H&R about 2 years ago from Buds when they were $92 shipped. I've beat on that thing and it's never let me down. We have several 870's (10 or so), and I prefer my H&R to them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. First off, what gas length is your barrel? It's possible you're so over gassed that the bolt is being pushed away with so much force the extractor can't grab, no mater what spring is in there. I'd do the BCM upgrade regardless, just because to me it's cheap insurance. Otherwise, if you're over gassed you need an adjustable gas block. Don't even fiddle with heavier buffers, springs, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I like that a lot! I hate having danglybobs on my key chains, but I would use that one for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Did you really just claim that society is unfairly "targeting" a group of people that are standing in the middle of the street impeding traffic, actively drawing attention to and making themselves targets for criticism and/or violence? Thanks, I needed a laugh.
  19. I guess in my parts the only time I see any type of gear is in a SWAT situation. To your point, I suppose I would ask you if you believed these "encounters" on the street you speak of aren't the same because of a decay in morality and respect in our society, and therefore less respect for authority, or because of this "militarization"? I can't for a second believe that policing now is what it was 60 years ago.
  20. Well stated. Just out of curiosity, can one of you share with me what your idea of "militarization" is? Are you referring to tactics used, gear worn, what exactly? I mean, I feel like I hear that term tossed around, but I don't think I've ever had someone define it. In their opinion, of course.
  21. Another thread, another downward spiral. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Edit: Nevermind. Even after the explanation, I doubt I would understand
  23. I'm kinda surprised at some of the responses in this thread. These officers were targeted, simply because they were officers. Like Omega said above, are there bad cops? Certainly. Just like there's bad nurses, lawyers, soldiers, whatever. But for some of you to basically imply that this crap is justified because of some encounter you had with a policeman with little man syndrome, or because of the questionable actions of a few officers blasted all over the media is beyond absurd. Damn shame Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Well I have to say, I'm very pleased with my decision to build an AR in this caliber. So far I only have a little over 250 rounds through the gun but it's been flawless, and surprisingly hasn't gotten near as dirty as I imagined it would. I'll put a scope on it around Christmas and shoot some groups, but for now I'm just pleased that it's stupid easy to hit a 8" steel plate consistently at around 125 yards with irons. This magazine has also been reliable, it's a newly released multi caliber magazine, and holds 25 rounds of 7.62x39. I've also been using the newest CPD 30 round magazines with great luck.
  25. Thanks! It couldn't have been a direct hit because you can only smell it when she gets really close to you. Crazy animals Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
