  2. You don't have to have a guard liscnese but you will still have to have a HCP to carry a handgun. This allows you to carry where alcohol is served if OK'd by the owner and under his employment. My brother owns a restraunt and we have had this clarified by LE. Maybe not the best source, but they would do the initial arresting.
  3. It doesn't matter the caliber just the configuration. With a HCP permit you can carry it in the vehicle un-chambered like any rifle. Otherwise it is just like the old law. Unloaded and not easily accessible, ie mag in glove box, carbine in the trunk.
  4. The restaurants and shops are all separate identities and are sectioned off making their own "space". I carry in there often, but I don't go to the restaurants. It is no different than a mall where the whole mall can post or each store can post.
  5. My experience with CZ is you have to specifically ask them for a return label. Otherwise you assume the cost. BTW the guys who answer the phones are NOT smiths and sometimes over step their authority and knowledge trying to be helpful. However, I always got to talk to someone who was at least trying to be helpful and they are fast. Two thumbs up!
  6. Um, she is responsible for maintaining the structure and regular maintenance unless you agreed otherwise. Let her take it to court and then counter. It would be an easy victory especially if there are unfixed leaks. Of course this assume you didn't do any intentional damage.
  7. and who is this guy?
  8. Looks interesting. I like the Otterbox ones better though We've Got Technology Covered // OtterBox.com
  9. ASP in Joelton used to allow shotguns - no slugs or buck shot. I was told recently they don't allow them anymore but they haven't stopped me yet! Good guys to deal with too.
  10. Might try the CD forum. The owner of CD post there regularly and can probably help you out. They are pretty good about customer service.
  11. Interesting. When does the request become enforcible?
  12. Hey HexHead, multi-quote is your friend! I say bring it on and let the masses know the support we have. Plus it will drive the Tennessean crazy having to talk about the wild west shoot outs that are sure to come!
  13. Yeah, it's old but it's one of the better videos. The whistle cracks me up!
  14. Depends. When AK's were jumping in price you could get a standard Saiga for $330 and convert it for $120ish or less giving you a true Russian AK (best receiver, barrel, parts, etc) for under $550 compared to inferior WASR's going for roughly the same. These are new and not used kits and they are Russian. It is by far the cheapest way to get a top of the line AK for less. If you don't care about a "nice" AK and just want an AK the WASR's and similar for under $450 are hard to beat. Thing about AK's though, is they all work and if anything isn't straight a good blow with the hammer will fix most anything.
  15. The only thing you really need a smith for is the front end work, unless you have a lot of tools and a steady hand. The rest is pretty easy. You don't have to do the front end but it looks better IMO. As far s smith's, there is a guy over towards Knoxville that advertises on the AK forum that is supposed to be pretty good. Red Jacket has done the last two of mine Welcome to Red Stick Firearms, Home of Red Jacket Firearms. Tromix, but he isn't taking work for a year TROMIX Lead Delivery Systems. Rifle Dynamics does good work RIFLE DYNAMICS - Tools and Training for the Professional Warrior. and there are a few others. Turn around time is an iffy thing ATM.
  16. I think there have been less than 15 reported issues on the CZ forum. Most pertaining to mag drop issues. They are replacing the frames on those models. The few issues some people have had are less than 1% of CZ forum membership. So if you add all the P07's sold, it is a slim fraction of P07's that have had minor issues. Much fewer than the M&P, XD, Glock, SR9 and others on first release. In fact I did a poll to prove this on the CZ forum. They are solid reliable guns.
  17. We think alike! I've been wondering about these things since I saw them on ammunitiontogo.com as well.
  18. Just got my first CZ a P07 a while back and I am now a CZ fan. Enjoy the P01!

    Late night TV

Fallon would be pretty good if he didn't look like a high school kid meeting a girl for the first time. He can't deliver a single, clear line to save his life. Which is sad because he seems to have good, original ideas. He just can't present them well. Conan is a great writer but he needs more Andy on his show to balance him out. He's like an aggressive Robin Williams. Used to like Letterman but he started getting so political and negative he grates on me now. Leno was always better than average but nothing spectacular. A good interviewer.
  20. Depends on your situation. My house is small 1000 sq. feet. and not very open so a long gun of any sorts is not the best. If someone was coming in unannounced I wouldn't even have the time or clearance to use the shotty. I keep mine un-chambered safety on, simply for the fact of the size of my house and that I have 4 kids all under 7 yrs old. Handgun is the way to go inside. Now if I have any time, prior indication, or outside disturbance I'm getting the shotty ready, but if I am responding inside it's the handgun.
  21. HAHA, you Jerk! That is a great movie. "I found out what my special purpose was for!":koolaid:
  22. I enjoy them. Not the greatest shows ever made but is classic Disney.
  23. While a cute answer, I don't think American is hereditary lineage.
  24. I personally like OWB with as much of a full size pistol as I can. I had several XD's that I carried both IWB and OWB, but like you say they are a little thick. I really liked the size and capacity of the Glock 19, but wanted a hammer fired SA only type pistol. I ended up carrying a CZ P07 OWB. To me it is a perfect balance of weight, size, capacity, and comfort. BTW - IWB is a commitment. New clothes, finding the right holster, cover garments, belts, Right gun, right location, etc. While OWB has similar issues it is not nearly as involved as IWB. Trial and error.
  25. Yeah! I even have the Fess Parker movies that my kids like to watch.
