  1. Oh no!.....it's all down hill from now:eek:
  2. I don't think that's accurate. There is a difference between .357 and 9mm even though they are both .355. (keep in mind I am no reloader) Sorry I was mixing info. Here is what I had read. "The .357 SIG offers nothing comparable to reloaders. In fact, it is a somewhat unusual pistol cartridge to reload. Brass is available, but not particularly plentiful. Care must be taken during the resizing operation due to its bottleneck case form. Bullets may not be roll crimped because the case headspaces on the case mouth instead of the shoulder or rim. .40 S&W brass should not be reformed into .357 SIG brass; the resulting cases are too short to maintain proper headspace. Bullet diameter is the same as other 9mm pistol cartridges, but not all 9mm bullets are suitable for use in the .357 SIG. In particular, the NATO style 9x19 FMJ bullets may not be used. Their taper is such that not enough bearing surface contacts the short neck of the .357 SIG case. That is why Speer makes special 125 and 147 grain bullets specifically for the .357 SIG. As with any semi-automatic pistol cartridge, reloads must not vary far from factory load velocities or the gun may jam. And autoloading pistols throw their brass all over the place, making recovery difficult and time consuming."
  3. Got some yesterday and it was 22.60 per 50 WWB. I've discovered carry and plinking are about the same price in .357. The cheapest I've found is the Winchester Ranger. It runs about $13 per 50 for the carry stuff. BTW I just got my EFK .357 SIG barrel for my Hi-Power and I can't wait to try it out.
  4. Also her is a good one as well, but cost $65. http://www.precisionfirearmfinishing.com/
  5. I read China is buying every piece of raw metal it can for ammunition and that is largley what has caused ammo and other metal products to rise. Add in the war, weak dollar, ect and it makes things worse.
  6. How bout having it done for $30?! http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/general-hs2k-sa-xd-talk/63408-xd-polished-barrel-question.html Here's some of his work.
  7. Yep +1!
  8. Put it on XDTalk.com. You can usually get a decent price for it there, if not here.
  9. You know what I'm gonna say...Hi-Power! Don't even think it's close. Ammo availability, parts, mags, ect. vastly in favor of the HP.

Check out the Skyy forum and I think that will do it for you. Did for me. When your own forum is not favorable, it's not a good sign. http://www.skyyforum.com/
  12. Thanks for the video. After reviewing more I gotta say, the ATF is out of control!
  13. Academy of Self Protection in Joelton is a good place. That's where I took mine.
  14. Saw an article a while back on "blind" hunter's. I had no idea, but i think it's great! Welcome
  15. Your link is a picture of the Scorpions (band)
  16. Welcome. I bet you don't go into Guns and Leather much, huh!
  17. Well they are the oldest gun shop in Nashville and proud of it!
  18. As much as i think it is a terrible gun store, I will have to admit the last few times I went there (for range convenience) the guys were pretty nice and helpful. However, My first few visits a couple years ago were completely different. They were unhelpful, arrogant, and just downright rude. Maybe the loss of business, as evidenced by their incredible lack of inventory since then, has brought them around. I still will go anywhere else I can first, but I will go now when I have to.
  19. I mean, what can you say?
  20. I think he does give a sandwich with purchase! I think all the shops around here have their niche down pretty well. Rabbi has his, G&L theirs, HeroGear, ASP (Joelton), Gun City......who exactly is Gun City's niche?
  21. That's just funny! These guns are so light weight that if you don't keep your wrist pretty firm, they can jam. It keeps the slide from being able to fully retract or go into battery completely.
  22. can't believe the jokes aren't more on this one. Just reading the post title made me ! So to answer the question....why yes I do. Have since I was about 2!
  23. I think communal compound and conservative are in direct opposition to each other. Are they not. we believe in personal freedom and responsibility, not give up all my rights to live in some socialist compound.
  24. They do say original owner, but I know they will probably go ahead and warranty it. Just call them up and don't mention it unless you have to. they are the best at taking care of their products.
  25. Can't remember the link, it was somewhere on http://forum.saiga-12.com/. A guy used some modified bolt cutters to press rivets and said it worked great.
