  1. Haha, All I have to do is stay out past the 200 yrd mark, stand in the open, and rain down bullets on his head.
  2. But I have more bullets and he's old.
  3. Gotta stir the pot sometimes!
  4. To be fair, Tony Rumore and Will Hayden were doing big bore AR's years ago when Ter Weem was still figuiring it out.

Can't be done. That being said, you don't really need either unless your in battle and then you still won't use the forward assist.
  6. Bender, you're putting the cart before the horse. Using that logic man is god and you are arguing socialism. Accepting the idea that there are absolutes of right and wrong that extend beyond man, regardless of the source, is the central and guiding ideology of our forefathers and the Constitution, Declaration, and every other founding concept of this country. Now, who or what you think is the source can be debated but when folks say "God given rights" they are correctly identifying that rights and freedom are not dependent on government or man but only protected and preserved by man and government. As to the roadblocks I don't have a huge issue with it, but I don't like it on a fundamental basis. I see them the same way as I see statistical policing. It has proven ineffectual and costly to other methods.
  7. Call Remington and ask. That's who told us after we couldn't fit a Remington pistol grip on a Remington 870. The lady knew from the serial number it came from Walmart. Look at the head stamps.
  8. Competition is always good, just be careful of Walmart stuff and do your homework. Don't know if they will keep up the practice but they used to make manufactures change a few things that would not make them compatible with aftermarket accessories. The Remington shotguns they sold are a good example. They would not take aftermarket stocks due to a change in their receivers mandated by WM. Also their WWB ammo is not the same WWB you will find in any other store. Due to their pricing policies those lots are farmed out to factories in China. This is a fairly common practice for Walmart supplies. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something to keep in mind. There is a reason they can sell lower than anyone else. BTW- this is not a WM bash. As a whole I love what Walmart offers and in fact my great-grandfather opened their second store in Harrison, AR. I'm a fan. Just not of their gun department.
  9. Statistically, 147g even in +P are far too slow for the 9mm platform to perform well especially in such a short barrel. You are basically turning the 9mm into a heavy, slow .380. Personally I would recomend a 124g +P. Gives you the best perfomance the 9mm can achieve.
  10. Glen comes by our store quite a bit and he is a good guy to deal with.
  11. This. Remeber carryying a weapon is against the law even with a permit in TN. The permit is only an exception and the officer can secure the weapon for his own safety.
  12. Every definitive ruling I have seen from the ATF says it is an SBR. The problem with the ATF is that their definitions tend to conflict with each other and they are the ones that get to decide arbitrarily which it is. If you look at what Willard posted from the ATF you can see that it could be read both ways. The only way is to submit a for a ruling from the ATF on you specific request and then keep that letter for all eternity as they will probably forget. I also agree with Lester that it is of little usefulness to go through the extra cost and paperwork. Get a single point sling and tension it to compensate for a stock and use the mag-well as the front support ala MP5.
  13. My understanding is that since you have made it a "two handed" fired weapon it ceases to become a pistol and is now a SBR (ATF Logic:rolleyes:). The AOW, I believe, doesn't apply since the barrel is rifled and not smooth.
  14. I'm actually surprised and impressed this thread took this long to go full bore religious!
  15. I have no problem with people having fun with it. The only thing that makes me uneasy is the lengths that some adults go through to convince and argue with kids of the idea. Seriously, I've actually had people get irrittated with my kids becasue they doubted the claim.
  16. Maybe maybe not, but I can tell you as person who rides a motorcycle daily people on their phones are much more of a problem than anything else. In fact the two wrecks I have been inolved in where due to cell phones.
  17. Consequences for your actions is by far the best education. That's why sitting with 8yr old little Smith and talking about why stealing is bad didn't work as well as the spanking he got.
  18. Get the Kel-Tec. A lot lighter and mags (especially hi-caps) are a lot easier to get. The Hi-Point you are stuck with 10rnd mags from Hi-point.
  19. How many ways are there to build two tall rectangle buildings? The cloud idea is interesting. Heck, the Petronas Towers look like twin Empire State buildings. Consider it a compliment that we are still looked at for inspiration.
  20. We pay substantially less and they can do substantially more. No bureaucracies, red tape, or idiots in Washington to tell them how to do it right. Makes an incredibly more efficient force. Good example is Sierra Leone and Executive Outcomes. The UN decided to ban PMC's after they were embarrassed by their (NATO's) ineffectiveness and EO kicking butt with minimal forces. They inserted NATO troops and the country was overrun again in months. Blood Diamonds anyone? Brought to you courtesy of NATO. Sierra Leone Civil War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A very good unbiased documentry is "Shadow Comapany". Excellent if you want to understand PMC's history and current state. Shadow Company ? Iraq War Documentary Movie, Award Winning Film about Private Military / Security Company voiced By Gerard Butler
  21. My kids don't think much of it. We teach about giving and how Jesus gave himself for us and Santa never came into it. Do we make a big deal over it? No, They have fun with it like anything else, but that is the extent of it. I think folks get too worked over too many things.
  22. Great meeting you and I'm glad your happy. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the M&P. Now that I know you are a photographer, I expect to see same really sweet M&P9 pics that I can use for wallpapers!
  23. When I had mine a (3-4 years ago) Walther wouldn't sell anyparts except to qualified support centers and there was only one guy who could do the work outside of S&W. I believe he isn't doing service anymore and that it is all handled in house at Smith. If you have a Walther call S&W. DO NOT go through Walther. They are incredible difficult and eventually will send you to Smith who handle their work.
  24. I daily carry an m&p. Its the 3rd I've had. I've not had a PPQ but I've had several p99's. They are very comfortable and have some of the best ergos of any gun. The trigger is the only drawback to the Walther's. The reset isn't very good compared to m&ps and there us no way to work them over. Add to that the difficulty of finding parts, sights, etc. and I just can't find enough justification to get the PPQ.
