He was a writer on SNL for a while. I could swear I recognized him from something else but when I checked his bio, there was nothing I'd seen before.
-
Wow, I always thought there was something a little odd about the way he looked (mostly his face) but I didn't realise the extent. Kudos to him for sure.

That reminds me I have a bunch of stuff for doing a high-speed flash project. Need to get back on it.

Ah, I wasn't sure if it would be first-come first-served for the first N and orders were showing up fast. I may be interested in a second lower and possibly second upper depending on the price. But I am definitely down from one of each at least. I can't wait to try out the attached leaf-blower.

I'm in (hopefully not too late) 1 of each. Just my luck the offer goes up just when I'm offline in the hills.

Question. My wife can't rack the slide on any of my handguns.
tnguy replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
That's actually not completely awful. Not that I currently have any issue racking the slide on any semi I've tried but they certainly could do better on making it easier to get a solid grip to rack the slide. A depression would probably better than those grooves. -
Who watches TV the old fashioned way for free and not cable ?

I have a mythtv box. I pay $20/year for the listings. How does something cost extra on free anyway? :) -

Incidently, if anyone has been looking for a spare mag for a PK380, wholesalehunter just got a bunch in. I bought 2. http://www.wholesalehunter.com/product.asp?productid=106772 These are often hard to find and go for way too much on ebay. The gun only comes with one which is very stingy of them. -
But he left kind-of suddenly. I'll see if I can dig up the text. Though I wouldn't necessarily put it beyond him to leave precipitously. He also didn't want to discuss the reasons with Jessie. Could he have killed a lab partner somehow and that's why he's so protective of Jessie? There's not much to hint at that though.

Any thoughts on the reason behind Walt leaving Gray Matter? The obvious one is that his girlfriend ran off with the other guy but I think that's a little bit too obvious, especially considering the way she spoke about it. Could the bit where they run through the constituents of a human body actually have deeper significance?

Hah. I like that one. I don't think it quite ties in with what we've seen (you have to claim within 90 days or something?) but that would be a riot.

Definitely get a DVR. You get to watch anything that's on anytime you want instead of what's on right now. It's also nice for skipping those annoying commercials. -
Where can one take HAM radio exam near Clarksville

Took mine in Dickson. There's probably one closer to you I'd imagine though. -

Whilst I certainly am not happy with the idea of more activist judges on the SC (and I think you're right), it's not as if the current bunch have been doing a bang-up job. Trying to make the republican party limp along with duct tape and string with the entire aim of possibly protecting one, maybe two positions in an institution which has been failing us badly appears, from the facts on the ground, to be pretty bad strategy. The SC should be the last resort when it comes to government. They aren't supposed to make the laws and they aren't supposed to execute them. If it gets to the SC, things have already gone wrong. Note that it's quite possible that Romney ended up with the nomination precisely to allow Obama to stay in unencumbered. I'm certainly convinced it's the case for McCain. And libertarians aren't lost in the wilderness. They know precisely where they are to an accuracy of within 3ft - in the wilderness. -
I worked from home at the time. I got up just after the first tower was hit and got to see the second hit. Having grown up with IRA terrorism (though admittedly, nothing of that magnitude), it was interesting to see how much it totally knocked the American media and public for six. I remember how high the casualty estimates were at first (they were talking six figures) and how it gradually came down to "only" 3,000-odd people. I remember TV shut down for the day. I remember thinking that the government was going to totally overreact and we would suffer more from their reaction than the actions of the terrorists themselves (and I believe I actually underestimated how bad that was going to be).

A few days ago, someone posted that there was imminent news. I went today to check and the thread is locked. No apparent reason, no discord, arguing or bad actors and no explanation. Not that it matters, just curious.

Things *were* in a bad way and in better conditions, Romney would probably have got it and probably not been an awful president. Unfortunately, they weren't better and Romney was a bad candidate to field in the circumstances. The Republican party is lost in the wilderness, kept alive only by the cluelessness of "lesser of two evil" voters. -

I may be a little odd but other than her politics and, as it turned out, her willingness to compromise herself to cling to the ropes of power, I always kinda liked her. -
Perhaps they all survive, possibly even Gomez but are captured by the mafia guys. Then it plays out like Viscero says. In the end, Walt is dead and Hank can't bring himself to turn in the rest of his family and is just happy to see the end of Heisenberg. That leaves Gomez hanging out though so I think he won't make it. The money may or not make it either but they have the car-wash. I can imagine them showing the lottery ticket blowing down the road as a final tease that there's all that money still out there somewhere.

Not everything is about the US. -
Maybe both sides just run out of ammo and stand there looking at each other dumbly for a while. I wouldn't count anything out at this point.
-
Another weird thing was that none of the "expendable" mafia guys got hit either. It wouldn't have taken much to have one of them and maybe an extra expendable DEA guy or two take a couple of rounds. Hank and Gomez not moving immediately to cover was certainly odd too.

Dream sequence would suck. But so many shows go off the rails right at the end. Hmm. Considering Gilligan's previous work was the X-files...
