  1. My guess would be they are watching every move you make in your home through your own TV if you have one of their boxes even when TV is off. I think they are totally in bed with Feds..................jmho
  2. The only thing Comcast in my house is two TV's and that will be the only two things ever to be Comcast in my house. I get offers every day in the mail offering me spectacular deals on bundles and I never even open them. They never even make it in the house but go in trash can outside.................jmho
  3. Yea, I have actually got to see a few Florida Panthers over the years. Had a friend I use visit back years ago before he passed away and he had a few on his property and he had some on video and they are about twice the size of a Bobcat but don't get to big when full grown................
  4. I wish someone would do at actual sit down interview with a few of these people (people being polite) and ask them exactly what their goal is in their protest. Their answers may tell us a lot. As far as i can tell no one has actually discussed their reasoning for the long gun open carry issue in Texas. I for 1 would like to hear a true answer and I for one am just no believing it is open carry hand guns issue in Texas. There is much more behind it and more in part the way it is being carried out. Men with an assault in the baby section of a target store shopping for Pampers I guess huh? If you believe that, I have some ocean front property 30 miles South of Nashville Tennessee I will sell DIRT cheap!!!!
  5. Back years ago when they allowed hog hunting in Catoosa which they still might. I don't know but my little brother which I always felt was two bricks short of a load would hunt Catoosa every year for hogs and his gun of choice was a Ruger Red Hawk 44 Mag and no rifle. His buddy that went with him was also shooting a 44 Mag but it was a Lever long gun. Don't recall the name but think it had to be a Winchester. Anyway my brother killed a hog every year he went and all but 2 of them where shot almost directly in the top of the head  between the ears because my little brother could climb a tree faster then any one I ever saw and while hanging in the tree is the way he killed most of his hogs. He invited me to go several times and even offered to spring and cover all expenses but I declined the offered. I have just got back home from the Service and was not ready to face another  that wanted ti kill me quite yet............jmho.   I really think if a person is going squirrel hunting a 22lr will be fine. If your going after a Kodiak Brown Bear a 22lr would not be my choice. I would want a 50 cal Barrette or something very close. Going after Feral Hogs I would want at least a 30/30 model 94 Winchester or a 300 Weatherby..........jmho. Just don't like being out gunned by my prey.................. :ugh:  :ugh:
  6. Well I may get jack slapped for saying this but all the folks up there are not bad or dumb. I still have some great friends living up there and all of them wish they were living down here but all have good jobs so they are stuck up their till they can retire if they live that long. My father was born in Hickory Corners Michigan and we lived in Lemont Illinois and every year we came down to my Grandfathers ranch for two weeks and I honestly think the hardest thing my father had to do was leave Tennessee and go back to work in Chicago and begin looking forward to the next year. When my Grandfather decided it was time for him to retire he gave my father the Ranch and asked him how long it would be till he could make arrangements to move south? He gave him the ranch in August 67 and in October 67 we were getting settled in the ranch house and my grandfather had built a log cabin down in the lower pasture to live in so maybe my dad was born in Michigan but his heart was in Tennessee...................
  7. That's a really large cat for sure and 223 did a good job but if I was going after Ferals I would want something that hits harder myself............jmho
  8. i copied this from the first link in OS's post. Stop and read it real close and I think you will see it the same way I do. One particular sentence stands out which leads me to believe that all of the things we are seeing are all staged by Bloomberg money paid individuals on the left to act out these schemes.....Read it slow and let it sink in.   After a string of victories at fast food chains in recent weeks, gun control activists are renewing pressure on discount giant Target TGT +0.54% to ban firearms in its stores. Michael Bloomberg-backed Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America has launched a campaign asking Target to ban the open carrying of guns in its stores just as news emerges out of South Carolina adding urgency to their mission.   I think the first sentence says it all...............jmho
  9. If Texas takes this right away from these bafoons I don't think the will give the open carry but may force the to go concealed carry if they are lucky that is................jmho
  10. I think a good security system would not have helped if the safe was not included in the loop of the alarm system. Also it could have been a partial inside job because if I looked at the picture correctly there were two safes next to each other and they knew which safe to hit that had all the main goodies in it. But it was mentioned that if a thief wants something bad enough and they are just good enough they will get what they go after...........jmho
  11. I was driving through northern Illinois last night listening to a call-in program on WGN in Chicago.  People were calling in all upset about the goat's head sent to Cubs owner Tom Ricketts at Wrigley Field. Some guy called in from Indiana and said, "Why are you all so upset cause someone sent a goat's head to Wrigley Field?  Aren't you the guys that sent a horse's ass to the White House". I almost ran off the road!
  12. Done deal!!!!!................
  13.  I don't even know if I could do that or not anymore
  14. IMHO all these people are doing is playing right into the Anti -Gun people like Feinstein and other anti gun lobbyists plans. They are just giving them more and more ammunition in which to use in the press to show how irresponsible gun owners can be. Like I said earlier that just because they have to right to do this does not mean they have to do it. Drawing all this negative attention to the people that are on the fence about gun issues might very well get pushed off the fence into the anti gun side. The NRA needs to stand it's ground on this issue but appears the have already began back peddling and blaming an under staffer for the comments that came from the NRA. Now all we can do is wait and see how much damage control they will need to do to get this mess straightened out. I guess my last question would be why does a state that was part of the wild west for centuries not have a hand gun open carry permit of all  things and places?................jmho
  15. Well lets look at this in perspective. How many people do actually call their insurance company at 3 AM to discuss their policy? Yea , if you have an accident at that time of the morning you may call. Plus if you listen to the discussion as his wife is coming down the stairs he replies" Yea I'm married, You would do that for me?" That does sound kind a kinky...... .......jmho
  16. Yea I never could get into playing Cow Pasture Pool either..................
  17. I don't think we are our own worst enemies Tricky. Those appear to be located in Texas at the present time. Of course they do have a valid point to prove. They are just going about it in a Bafoon fashion. What they are doing is dragging all of rest of us in the hole with them. If they have an issue with Texas laws take the issues to the people that can change the laws which is the Texas Legislature. Get the law changed so that hand guns can be open or concealed carry like many other states and this issue would go away. I find it hard to believe Governor Perry has not done that long ago and all of this would not be taking place. This was the exact reason that Doctor that lost her parents in Luby's and she made that point quite clear in her talk with the legislators in Texas back years ago. The law should have been changed back then and wasn't....................jmho  P. S. They do have a conceal permit so it is not like they must be unarmed all together. .............jmvho
  18. Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties & local pubs to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink by any woman. Many females use a date-rape-drug on the market called ' Beer ' . The drug is found in liquid form and is available anywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, or from taps and in large kegs. Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and sleep with them. A woman needs only to get a guy to consume a few units of Beer and then simply ask him home for no-strings-attached sex. Men are rendered helpless against this approach. After several Beers, men will often succumb to the desires to sleep with horrific looking women to whom they would never normally be attracted. After drinking Beer , men often awaken with only hazy memories of exactly what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague feeling that 'something bad' occurred. At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life's savings, in a familiar scam known as     'a relationship'.     In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer-term form of servitude and punishment referred to as 'marriage'.     Men are much more susceptible to this scam after Beer is administered and sex is offered by the predatory females.     Please forward this warning to every male you know.     If you fall victim to this 'Beer' scam and the women administering it, there are male support groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with similarly victimized men.     For the support group nearest you, just look up 'Golf Courses'     in the phone book.
  19. Might not be much left of a tree rat with a 25 cal round unless you can make head shots every time which is possible but not probable. I would still like to see a company take a look at building one.............jmho
  20. I have a renters policy coming due in a couple months and i will make it a note to see how my coverage reads as to the liability section. Thing is if I have a home invasion while I am home one of two things is going to happen. They are going to die or I am and at that point I am not going to really be worrying about if my liability insurance will protect me if I kill one or more intruders. I will find that out when and if it ever happens I guess. ..............jmvho
  21. Lets just hope I never get booted or banned.................jmvho
  22. Like JAB I fear life more than death. I am not afraid of dying. I am afraid of living but not being able to live a quality life being able to do the things I enjoy doing. I also would never want to become a burden on my family by not being able to care for myself. Death would be welcome over that kind of non quality life..............jmho
  23. I am very happy with the gun all the way around Jonathon. It is a great gun and I have zero issues with it at all. Just an old man issue I need to conquer to enjoy it more.......................
  24. Well I have the ammo and the gun and now just need to devise a way to use them together with out the pain.............
  25. I should be getting it today of tomorrow from NetFlix. The said it would be shipped on June 3rd. I quit buying DVD's since once I ahve watched a movie it's not the same the second time I watch one. No suspense when you know the outcome...............jmho
