  1. Does the United States need stricter gun control laws? No 67% 1296 Yes 33% 641 Total votes: 1937 This is not a scientific poll
  2. I think LeVar Burton will do his best to make sure it is successful and I'm sure he is use to success and will handle it well........jmho
  3. What 3 counties are you referring to Dave as far as Chicagoland is?
  4. I just read another article and it said there will be no gun stores in 99.5% of Chicago It said as long as he does not stop it 100% it is legal. So that means he will pick and choose where he allows the gun shops to set up business in the .5 %  or area left. He will probably put all of them in the Ghetto's where Gang Bangers can control them. Someone also made a post that sooner or later the mayor is going to end up dead in his home by a bad guy with an illegal gun. That shows you how much some folks know up there. The guy lives in the Mayors mansion on the upper east side surrounded by big tall brick walls and walking armed patrols with dogs and fence of top of wall is electrified. It would take a Seal or Ranger to get at him in his sleep. Doubtful he will get killed in a home invasion.............jmho
  5. This kind of stuff goes far beyond stupid to total and complete IGNORANCE!!!!!  Is he never going to understand that it is not the honest folks that buy their guns from Reputable Licensed Gun Stores that does background checks that is causing the issue. Since the city of Chicago in suppose to be full of thousands upon thousands of cameras how about looking at all the film footage they already have and maybe, JUST MAYBE they might see a few gun sales going on in alleys out of car trunks or on street corners and catch the guys that are not doing the back ground checks and just maybe arrest them. I guess that would require some type of intelligence which may be asking way more than the guy is capable of...............jmho
  6. We had Captain Kangaroo and Mickey Mouse Club and then Mr Roberts and both of my Boys grew up with Big Bird as Sesame Street.

  9. Gun Buster signs!!!  As we walk up to a store or restaurant that displays these signs and are legally carrying according to the laws of the state what is the first thing that runs through your mind. Mine is the business does not want me and my family to do business with them. Is that really what that sign means? Now I have been wondering why many of those signs are really in play? Is it because the company or Small Business store owner is really against guns and people with guns or is it because a few and I mean just a few of his customers are the ones that asked the company or small business owner to do it and he has not been approached by law biding gun owners that do carry to ask the company or the Small Business owner why they actually posted their business. I bet most small businesses owners never gave it any thought because they probably never saw anyone that was carrying a gun doing business or eating in his restaurant. My guess is it was a few and like I said a few, maybe even just one anti gun person that planted that seed in their ear. I also wonder if that particular business big or small realizes the impact it may be having on their business. There are over 300,000 plus HCP people in Tennessee and that is growing every day. 300,000 + people can have one heck of an impact on anyone's business big or small. As that number grows it causes even more impact on these businesses. Now except for the few baboons with the black rifles being pure stupid and should be taking to the wood shed for an educational experience how many times has any one heard about an real carry issue in a business that was negative. Yes I know that Starbucks did post but their reason was open carry and not because they are against people legally going armed. They also did re-post stating that concealed carry was allowed so they are not totally an anti gun business. I think what I am going to do is a survey of all the businesses I can find here in my town that have gun buster signs up and i am going to ask each business to give me the exact reason that they chose to put the sign up. I am truly interested in learning why the signs are up in many businesses that 90 days ago were not posted. As I mentioned in an earlier post about a local meat & 3 restaurant here that learned real quick how his customers felt when he bought the business of 40 years and posted it about 3 or 4 days later. It almost put him out of business had he not reversed his decision and he still lost quite a few customers that never returned. The Anti Gun folks don't mind speaking to the business owners so why should the Pro gun folks not do the same. Sure, we are not going to get all the signs but I bet we can get some and some is better than none. Next time you see a Gun Buster sign make it a  point to politely talk with the owner/manager and find out why the sign is up and whose idea it was to put it up in the first place. We are not going to get all the signs but some is better than none and lets not blame the wrong people for why many of the signs are up...............jmho
  10. I wish to ammo companies would flood the market with the stuff and catch all these scum bags sitting on a garage full if it and half to hold a garage sale and see it for pennies on the dollar and they all go broke...................jmho
  11. Very good call for sure. I would have walked if he was dang near giving the guns away................
  12. I have done this probably 500 times over the years as a mechanic and it never failed to work. Drill top off screw, remove Mass Air flow Sensor and then use small pair of vice grips to remove remaining screw shaft................
  13. My Bug is LCP. I consider if my get off me gun. Wouldn't want to depend on it as normal carry but within 5 yards OH YEA!!!! It will do business. Most times it is in my pocket around the house and out in my yard...........jmho
  14.   I have no doubt I will enjoy the rifle and it's been many years since I have even held a Black Rifle of any kind but felling came back really quick when it was tucked into my shoulder. Gotta get use to scope though. We didn't have them back when I was shooting them but really didn't need them back then either................
  15. Yea. it's tricky but I think initials will count also. Thanks for doing it and I hope more folks give it a try........
  16. I wonder if he leaves his gun at home when he is at work since his place is posted NO GUNS ALLOWED even though he has a carry permit.......??????
  17. I don't know how many folks here watch NASCAR or watched the race last evening but NASCAR went all out for our troops yesterday and it was great to see this for sure. I enjoyed to the pre race ceremonies as much if not more than the race. Bag pipes were great and I won't deny the fact that when Taps was performed tears ran down my cheeks as they do every time I hear them. I consider myself a somewhat old piece of tough leather but when ever I hear Taps being performed my leather becomes soft and my heart softens and tough strength is drained. If Taps does not reach deep into your heart and grab you when you hear them performed then you have no heart.........jmho
  18. It's great that you take care of your father and his buddies. I'm sure they great pleasure out of what you do for them in this respect. Older folks need things to do they enjoy for sure............
  19. Well did both places use the same language on their signs because that is what it sounds like reading both posts? And did both places get robbed or just 1?..................
  20. In all honesty I believe intelligence comes in many different forms and all of them are not from books and colleges or universities. A lot of the more people that are successful in their lives have High School Diplomas that never saw the inside of the higher education facility. I know a few people that are worth millions and are friends of mine and a few of them don't even have High School diplomas. They went to the School of Hard Knocks. Anyone ever heard of that school? I will not brag about myself but the 8 or 10 few years before I became disabled and then dealt with a few tragedies my life that ended up almost bankrupting me I was averaging $110,000.00+ every year income on a high school education. Then went to the School of Hard Knock that does not come from books but comes from using your brawn more than your brain but even that school makes you use your brain also. My oldest sons favorite song was " A Country Boy Can Survive" and that song has more truth to it them most folks give it credit for. How many folks living in Tennessee that grew up living here could survive verses a person living in a High Rise Flat that costs them $2,500.00 a month in New York if the electricity disappeared? How many folks that grew up here could survive if all at once the water companies could not provide water to the High Rises in New York or Chicago. How many folks here could survive if most of the grocery stores shelves began to not get refilled? The list is long folks of things that could happen that would cause a shear panic in New York, Chicago or other heavily populated areas if all at once lost all their way of life was all but gone. How much book learning will help them survive? There is about 80% of people living in New York that have never seen anything closely related to a forest beyond Central Park or Hyde park in Chicago. My guess is it won't take long for the Rat population to begin to drop in the major cities. I am not saying that maybe for some folks a college education might work but for the last 10 years or so only about 20% of graduates can find work in their fields and they are not making what those same jobs paid when they entered college. Our President continuously preaches get a college education even though there are no jobs out there for them but get that student loan even though it may take you the rest of your life to pay it off working at Burger King or KFC. Last time I looked the students that once wanted to become doctors is down by about 55% since the ACA was created and many students changed their majors to another one and will no longer follow their dreams of becoming doctors. Many of the now are looking at Law degrees as their majors. I could probably write a book on this but gonna get off my soap box with this one thought and that is  Yep, A Country Boy Can Survive!!! So just let the people doing these poles believe what they want because many of ya'll like myself did attend the School of Hard Knocks and we know how smart we are so let them keep guessing all they want..........  ..................jmho
  21. Please sign the flag and show your support for our troop. I signed it   Thanks a bunch...   http://usomoments.org/?_ga=1.135412849.1111810029.1401318314   or     http://www.action.uso.org/FlagThankYou
  22. Ok I have been reading a post about a Pub owner posting his pub with No Gun signs that was evidently insulting to Pro gun folks. I could only see just a part of the sign top in that post. Now is this Pub also the same place as The Pit  that has what I am guessing had the exact same insulting wording on that sign also or are we talking about the same place calling it a Pub and the Pit or are they two different businesses??????????
  23. Got to meet Jonathon1289 and he is a very nice young man for sure. Enjoyed out talk and pickup up a new to me firearm from him. If you ever get to meet him I'm sure you will agree with me that he is a really nice person.........Thanks Jonathan.................

When ya'll shake hands be prepared to put your hand in a vice. That coyote does have sure fired hand shake........   Thanks for the great safe Bob.....
  25. I would replace the hazard fuse first before I called anyone. On some tractors the fuses may be labeled with one name but operate several other things also............jmho. I would also take a test light and check all my fuses by touching both ends of each fuse in the panel. I have seen fuses blow and not look blown....... Just a few trouble shooting tips to try.
