LOL.... not where I live. I don't have any places nearby at all. I looked into getting cable here and they said it would cost about $1,000.00+ for the install and cost $125.00 a month after the install. They will be offering Fiber-Optics here in January and it will be offered to everyone in the area but they have not got any pricing available yet. They ran the main lines past my house last week on the poles along the road. I'm betting it is going to be exspensive once they get it installed and ready to start putting it in homes. I know a few folks that have satelite and they are paying big bucks to have it. In this area because they know they don't have any competition in this area yet so they can pretty much get what they want for Dish and U-Verse if you want it bad enough.

I have never streamed anything but SIL said streaming eats up your data time fast!!!

I just got an email from GOA asking that all the GOA members send emails or call and tell Trump not to sign the Red Flag Bill he has laying on his desk and said that the anti-gun people are making a big push after that shooting of police officers in Phili the other day. And again it was done by a felon/Criminal that should not have had a gun in the first place and not a law abiding citizen. Time after time when shootings like that one take place it is done by a criminal but the Anti-Gunners want to punish the law abiding citizens for it. I was sure glad to hear that all of the police officers made it that were wounded. I thought they would have to end up killing him to get him out but he got out unscaved!!! He was actually shooting threw his ceiling trying to kill to officers in the upper level of his house. He was determind to kill police officers.

The only thng I want in all Red Flag Laws is DUE PROCESS and as of yet I'm not seeing that being discussed even remotely by politicians looking at passing them in their states. Due process evens up the playing field somewhat. At least the person losing their guns knows who filed the complaint so they can provide a defense against the claim filed.

The only reason I could see why people want to put someone to death is politics. Governors and the President do have the power to release people from Prison with Pardons before leaving office. That almost happened back years ago here in Tennessee and there was some really bad guys on a list that the Governor was set to pardon when he was leaving office but it got stopped 3 days before he left office and the Governor elect Lamar Alexander was sworn in and the former Governor Ray Blanton was arrested along with several other people that were involved in a Pardons and Parole scandal where prisoners had bought and paid for them to be released. That could be a scary situation. I don't think you were living here back then Dave. I can specially remember two names on the list were serving life sentences for the murder for hire of a doctors wife in Chattanooga and the doctor got scared of the 2 guys and turned them in and admitted he paid them to kill his wife and they let the doctor go for admitting what he did but they got 2 cold blooded murderers that were being hunted for years for several other murders. I was hoping to get to watch the Games again this year but they are locked in on Cable and Satelite and I can't get either here so guess I won't get to see them this year.................

I was still living in Illinois as a kid when Richard Speck slaughterd 6 student nurses and the one that hid under a bed saw him clearly testified in his trial and he was found guilty of the 8 murders in 1966 and sentenced to death. He died of a heart attack in 1991 after his sentence was commuted to life in prison without the chance of parole by the Illinois Governor. If anyone ever deserved to be executed it was him. When he was asked why he did it his reply was "It just wasn't their night"

DNA has changed the way a lot of cases are handled these days. Now they can also prove at the scene of a crime if the bad guy left DNA behind there is no defense for the bad guy cause they have his DNA proving he is guilty so DNA can prove innocence but it can also prove guilt.........JMHO The only down side to DNA testing is the backlog of tests that have not be done to prove guilt or innocense is years behind!!!

I'm wondering just how many people are hoping for the Red Flag laws to go into effect so they can call with the only reason being to help the left take away guns? If they don't have a court order and can't be held responsible for fake calls whose to say they won't make so many calls they overwhelm the law enforcement agencies all across this nation with fake calls just to get our guns?????

I love that collar Darby has on. I have tested it with a strong flashlight and I can see the collar up to about 50 yards so it is well worth the money. I think you can buy the collars seperately from the Tracking device also. I am looking to buy a new one soon. I think I am going to get my next one from Chewy as they have one made by Frisco that looks like what I am looking for and it has great reviews. You may want to check it out also.

I agree 100% that parents don't spend the time necessary to actually teach their children and in most case show the children the Love they should and most of all provide them a good home. We did not have all the high tech toys kids have today and when they began to show up my kids did not get them until they could buy their own. Then there was rules in my home when and where they could be used. My boys were taught right from wrong until they left home as adults and from watching my Son Ronnie with his boys he raised them in pretty much the same manor he was raised in.

The children were not unattended. Their mother was in the car with them while their grandmother went in to Walmart to pick up a few things.

Thanks Dave and that seems like it was an eternity ago since that happened and my son Ronnie said he was going to talk to his mother about an Order of Protection and I told him not to because it would only make it worse. She is already getting beat on and refuses to call the police so he never mentioned it again. I have a feeling that is why many Murder / Suicides take place is from that piece of paper. When one of those get served it just make most guys 10 times as mad and it becomes a "If I can't have her mindset to a No one will her mindset!"and that is where many Murder/Suicides happen......JMHO When my wife of 18 years walked out on me I just said "BYE" cause I had a full book dealing with a son in a coma and another one at home and going to school. I was very proud of him cause he had just turned 16 and got up every morning and went to school while I was at the hospital 24/7. One of the other kids in school would pick him up and after school they would come up to the hospital to see me and his brother and I would give him some money for supper all of the kids that came and he and his friends would stop and eat on the way home. When she finally decided to talk divorce she had to come to me and it messed with her mind that I was not mad because she was doing what she was doing after 18 years with me. I had my priorities and he decisions about her life was at the very bottom of the list. She couldn't afford a lawyer and I knew that so I said ok I will file all the papers and all you have to do is sign them and show up for court and she agreed. A lawyer buddy of mine drew up the papers and I just told him to write them how ever he wanted to and he did. My divorce cost me $15.00 filing fee + court costs and lawyer was a Freebee! That was when she learned what she had signed. She was giving up everything to be with her new guy and didn't even realize it till the Judge came down on her and it was to late then. Her guy did have the nerve to call me after the trial and threaten to beat the Hell out of me for not giving her anything and I ask him were he wanted to meet. Never heard from him again about that!! With that said I believe Orders of Protection get people killed and they should not exist!!..............JMHO

This day in time if the police is at your home because someone called them the best thing to do is cooperate with them and see if the issue can be resolved and don't do anything that may cause the officer to feel threatened. If the officer does not see anything that could have been required that the call was made he might try and see why the call was made in the first place. I have found that most times cooperation with the officers is always the best path forward. Cool heads would always be my recomendation...........JMHO

So according to that law a person can carry pistol on their person but not allowed to have it loaded or have the amunition on their person that fits the gun???? Ok so what is the sense in packing an empty gun around?? That is another one of those useless laws that cost the taxpayers to pay some politician to introduce which we all know had to come from the left. I guess if the gun is big enough you could use it for a club in a knife fight!!!!

Thanks for all the replies to my post. I had drawn the same conclusion as a couple of yall did and that was the 2nd officer did what he did to prevent more people from calling in the same report causing yet more officers to respond to the hot car issue. I do totally do understand the response by the officers because there has been so many children die from being left in a hot car. In one way I think any parent that does that should be prosecuted but then on the other hand the person has to be heart broken at what they did and the loss of the child would be a punishment far worse then being arrested. I could not imagine how I would feel if I was to lose a child in that manner and know it was all my fault for not thinking!!! I think the auto industry should begin working on ways that would remind a person that their child is in the back seat. Some type of warning on the dashboard that would alert the driver when they turn off the ignition that the child is in the car. They have been able to come up with all kinds of other things far less important to make your cars so smart, let them come up with one that is important!!!!

I have only been through 1 divorce and I won that one on desertion and adultry by her and she got nothing but her clothes. I got the kids which were teenagers, the house and everything in the house and property and the judge even wanted me to request Child support. Yea, the judge and not my lawyer. When the judge found out she was walking out on my son after his accident and was just beginning to come out of a coma she told me I deserved Child support from her and her new boyfriend. I declined it but I did request that I set the times she would be allowed to visit my sons and she made that happen. My ex got what she deserved. Turned out he was a drug addict, a drunk and worst of all for her a wife beater. She got pregnant by him and had a daughter. Soon after that was when the beatings started and she was terrified of him and to scared to call the police. My youngest son Ronnie and his girlfriend went to visit his mother and was a day after he spent the night beating on her and my son spoke up and told him he was tired of the guy beating on his mother so out of no where he back handed my son and his girlfriend Tammy dragged Ronnie out of the house and they left. Tammy could not wait to tell me he had hit Ronnie in the face. Next time they came to the hospital on their day to visit I was there and took her new husband aside and politely quietly told him if he ever laid his hands on one of my sons again he would not be breathing in 24 hours. My ex didn't know what we talked about but the following weekend he beat her up bad, packed his bags and went back to east St Louis where he was from. Ronnie told his mother to file for divorce and she told him that her guy (Chuck) told her if she filed for a divorce or for Child Support he would come back and kill her and the kid. About a year later we got news that Chuck had beaten a girlfriend to death up in St Louis and got the death penalty and will never be released. She is so scared of this guy that she is still married to him and said she won't divorce him until he is dead. She is still waiting!!! Now with all of that said, Red Flag laws would not have helped my ex because he didn't have any guns cause his favorite weapon was his fists to beat on women with.

I did have her chipped but it is not in her but on her. It is made into her collar along with the reflective strip on her collar. I think it cost about $90.00 when I had them put it on her and the only down side is the batteries don't have a long life so when ever I am going out with her I don't turn it on. You turn it on and off with your cell phone. If she is going out on her own I turn it on. I think it is made by Tractive but will look and see if I can find the paper work to be sure. I have considered having one implanted in her because the batteries are not cheap and if you forget to turn it off it will kill the batteries in 4 to 5 days. They don't have a long battery life to begin with. Living in town I worried about someone stealing her so I paid the price to make sure I could find her if she went missing. Out here there are a lot of people with eyes on her and she is watched a lot more by family when she is out side. If she goes up front to visit one of them brings her back home after she plays with the Bassett Hound (Rhett) yea like Rhett Butler from "Gone with the Wind" up front for a while but they call me and tell me she is up there. I told my daughter she has a sick sense of humor to name that hound after such a great actor..............LOL. You can see the reflective part on her collar here.

Ok so my daughter, and my 27 year old Grand daughter and my 2 great grand children went to Walmart today to pick up a few items at the store. My daughter went in the store while my grand daughter and mother of the two children remained in the car with the doors locked and the A/C blowing cold air when the first police officer showed up and tapped on the window of the car. My grand daughter put the window down and the police officer ask if they were alright and she said yes and she was waiting on her mother to pick up a few things. The officer reached in the car and could feel the cold air working and said ok and went on his way. !0 minutes later another officer was at the car asking the same questions and again my grand daughter told him they were fine and the car was running and the A/C was working and keeping them cool. He then made my grandaughter turn the car off, remove the keys, unstrap the two kids from the car seat and told them it was "AGAINST THE LAW" to remain in the car and they needed to go inside the store!!! Does anyone know when that law went into effect cause I have never heard about it till today. The officer told my daughter that she could be ticketed for leaving the children in the car. My grand daughter is 27 years old and is the mother of the two kids and she was in the car with them and had the A/C running and doors locked!!! My daughter was in the store a grand total of about 20 minutes and had not one but to officers show up because people were calling in about them in the car. The 1st officer didn't mention they were breaking any law and the second one acted pissed.

That is exactly why I had a chip put in Darby and most folks can find her with their cell phones and will get an alert on their phones if she gets in their neighborhood. We tested in when I moved out here and it still works on everyones smart phones out here as well. If you do get the dog back home my suggestion would be get both dogs chipped.

I have no doubt you are correct Dave. It is a way of getting donations which I never send any but I think it is a good thing to get out there for folks to read about. Get folks thinking and keep them thinking about it. I won't have an issue with Red Flag laws if they are written properly and require a court order to take the persons guns until he/she has their day in court. Then if found to be a fit they should be able to take their guns home that day. Not a waiting period of weeks or months but that day........JMHO

So they are begging folks to call in tips if they spot him and the people with the video call it in and he is in their refrigerator looking for food and the police don't respond to that call but wait 7 hours to respond to another call from a woman on her way home from work that says she spotted him 750 feet from where the original 911 call came from and now they are trying to figure out how the beat the original folks out of all or part of the reward and coming up with another caller they did respond to. I guess the guy that was getting his fridge raided should have just shot him in the leg so he couldn't get 750 feet from their home huh? Something about that stinks in so many ways!!!!.............JMHO
