Hi Folks. It's nice to know when someone is missed and for that I thank everyone. I have not been spending a lot of time on computer recently but will probably be spending more now since I am a lot closer to being settled in my new home. When I moved I didn't realize how much junk I had accumulated in my last home till I began packing it up. I lived there 20 years and when I moved in I did so in a couple pickup trucks and 1 trip. When I got packed and SIL and some friends moved me it took a 20 foot enclosed trailer, a 15 foot enclosed trailer and 3 pickup trucks full. I have been taking my time about unpacking and still have about 10 boxes that I have not cut the tape on cause at present time I have not found a use or a need for what is listed on the boxes. If I don't find a use for any of the stuff in them they may get put in SIL's truck and taken to the big dumpster at his company warehouse and disposed of. I have not done much shooting but one time since being here and it scared Darby so bad she hid under the bed didn't come out and would not get near me for a couple hours. I knew she would hide under the bed when it thunders in a rain storm so until I can figure out a way to not scare her by shooting out back I might have to wait till I can find a range nearby to go shoot at. Well again thank all of you for thinking about my absence from the site and I will try and be here more!!

Well mine did show up in my bank account on Wednesday so all is good now for me also. I hope everyone gets their that has one coming!

Thank you very much for the time you spent to get me all those links. I did open each one and read what they had to say and for the most parts I can tell, I should not have to do anything in order to receive the stimulus funds so I guess it is just a sit and wait process. They said they have already sent the money to 80 million Americans that have direct deposit which I do have and have had for almost 15 years and my SS funds are automatically deposited every month so like I said its just a wait and see when it shows up I guess. Well, I get my SS Ck by Direct deposit and have been since I began receiving it and every one of the sites I have read it states if you receive SS by Direct deposit you don't have to do anything to receive the stimulus money. It will just be deposited into your bank account. It also said that 80 million Social Security recipients have already received theirs. I just checked and I have not received mine yet!!!

I agree with you 100% Dave and I will go out of my way any time to buy American. I do own a few foreign pistols from Brazil but my long guns are all American. The only foreign guns I have are my Bersa's and everything else is American. I don't mind paying a few extra bucks to buy American and if the drug companies are smart they will come back state side along with most all other manufacturing. I mean the products are suppose to be American and just made with cheap slave labor but yet most of the products say Made in China on them. They should say made in America and assembled in China but China takes credit for the entire product!!!

Does anyone know anything about these Stimulus Packages that Social Security recipients are suppose to be receiving through direct deposit? According to everything I have heard people on Social Security will be receiving them if you are on direct deposit. If that is true I am suppose to receive it in my account. According to what I have read they have paid 80 million people in direct deposit but I have not got anything. I have been trying to find out who to contact but there is so far no one listed to ask. Does anyone have any ideas who I might be able to get in touch with. If so it would be appreciated if you could share the information with me.!!!

I bet if enough research is done folks will find out that most every damn virus type disease originated in China over the last 100 years. They can make the damn things but can't control them and leave that part up to the rest of the world to fix!!!!….JMHO

Thank you for the information. I guess my doctor has guessed right so far or I have just been lucky. She does tell me every year that there is still a chance I could get the flu but by having the shot the flu I get will not be as bad and if I didn't have a shot so I get the shot. I hope that a lab somewhere does find that magic bullet that can at least cut down the loss of life from the virus and do like the flu shot does and make the flu tolerable to deal with if you do catch it. I will never understand the people that have a vaccine available to them to prevent such diseases like Polio, Small Pox, Measles and other bad things out there and won't get the shots. My brother next oldest to me contracted all 3 levels of the polio disease at age 4 and he was the first person to survive the disease. He was one of the first people to be placed in an Iron Lung in the United States. He was in it for over 1.5 years but it saved his life. He was crippled in one leg and both arms and hands and the doctors said he would be lucky to live to age 18. Well he went to college, got a degree in bookkeeping, went to work for the IRS for 17 years, got married, had a daughter and passed away peacefully in his sleep at age 42 so he beat the odds because he was not a quitter. The doctor said that his heart just quit working while he was asleep and he passed away without making a sound according to his wife that was laying beside him. Anyone who has the Vaccine available and does not get it deserves what ever they get......JMHO

Yea, I have heard that some people have contracted those diseases long after most people have forgot about them even being around back many years ago. I had a brother that had polio.

Well, I have just never figured myself as smart enough to discuss things that require technical thought as I am not at that level of knowledge. That is why I have to ask questions. Well if an employee in a lab where the virus was created would that not make it man made at least? If the doctors and scientists are correct that would mean we will be going though this for the rest or out lives or until they can product a vaccine such as the one they have for the flu that people get every Fall. I know I get one every Fall from my doctor and so far have been flu free every year. I won't give all the credit to the shot and just base some of it on luck of avoiding it. As I get older I try to avoid crowds also and since this mess showed up I have become very familiar with every part of my house and am thankful I moved here when I did cause my SIL and daughter have been doing all my shopping since it started. They do mine when they do theirs. My diet has changed some also. Sometimes things on my list are not on the shelves and they have to do pot luck but they always bring home food that I can prepare and so far it's not bad. I had a buddy make me a gallon of disinfectant and a spray bottle but have not had to use it yet as I lucked up and got 4 cans of Lysol and 3 large bottles of hand sanitizer that I have been using sparingly till daughter can find more on shelves when she goes to the store. I wash my hands several times a day also after putting up groceries when they arrive. I'm also very glad I have Darby. She is great company and has been even more spoiled since this began. We will go for a couple walks each day. She looks forward to them even though she has a doggie door that she goes in an out of she still enjoys our walks. I am the last person that needs to be talking about this issue but have a question? They said this virus was created in a bio-lab in China and got loose and spread across the world. Ok then that would make it a man made virus if that is actually the case. Ok so I have heard doctors and or scientists say that this virus could come back next Fall with the Flu season we experience every year. If that were the case would China not have to release it again for that to happen? Like I said I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer but if it is truly a man made virus how can it return every year unless man releases it every year??

LOL.@ Greg!! There is no real secret to catching fish Greg. A lot depends on the species of fish you are after. Then a lot depends on the lake you are fishing on? there are many variables to catching fish this time of year and as crazy as the weather has been It would be hard to pattern them as they change when the weather changes. If I was going to go fishing and had a boat I would buy a bucket of big or medium Shiner Minnows and if I had a lake with Small mouths I would put them on a bobber rig with one split shot to keep the shiner in the strike zone longer. If I was on a lake with catfish and wanted some eating fish I would put a shrimp on a bobber rig and fish out on a flat on the main river channel of what ever lake I was on. Put the boat on the flat close to the river drop but fish the flat and if a cat comes up to feed on the flat out of the deep your bait will be the first thing it will find. Hey yall. I'm still around and kicking. Just not goin out and trying to catch that nasty bug the is going around. My Daughter and SIL have been doing all my errand running since they both are still working. SIL(Tommy) is Superintendent on a big construction site in downtown Nashville and all of his employees are wearing N95 masks that are required for their job spraying fireproofing and my daughter is doing home healthcare 1 on 1 in the persons home and she is also wearing scrubs and a N95 mask while at work so they do my shopping while they are out. Tommy gave me an N95 mask to wear when they come in the house to bring supplies and once they leave I spray what they bought with Lysol and let it sit a few minutes. Once I have things put up I wash my hands with soap and hot water and then add hand sanitizer to the mix. According to the map of counties with the virus the county I live in which is Smith only has 3 recorded cases and I'm trying to not be number 4. Hope all of you stay clear of it. Well as usual I'm late to this party too. I was watching the news and it was like watching the moneys at the zoo in grocery stores and warehouse stores. I was wondering how long it would take before the stores began putting limits on many items and adding new limits everyday on products. On Monday my daughter went to Sam's in Hendersonville and then the one is Antioch and then she called me to inform me that they were out of Toilet paper and water so I asked he if there was any cases of Kleenix Tissues and she said yea and I said get 2 cases and then I asked her if there were any paper napkins and she said yes and I told her to get 2 cases of those also. Just as good as toilet paper as far as I'm concerned. Then on Wednesday we went to Walmart in Lebanon and they had about 500 cases of water in the entrance and store was well stocked with limits on many items. It was announced that the manufacturers of paper products has increased their production to keep up with demands and with the limits in stores things should be back on shelves soon.

I am not sure Greg. I do know a lot of trees down and we were without power from 2AM till about 8:30 am and my SIL's preacher called him and ask for help cutting some trees off houses in Carthage and when they arrived with all the equipment they got turned away by authorities and told to come back today because they had not finished checking all the houses damaged for anyone injured of killed. The school closings are mostly because of power in some areas and trees and power poles on many of the county roads the school buses travel. My grandson's school is only 20 minutes from our house but there are trees all over that road. That's about all I know about it.

No problem Larry, I was just concerned that the area close to you house was in the path and I was just calling to make sure you and your wife were ok. Sorry to hear about Cookeville and all the carnage and loss of life in that area. Prayers going out for all effected. We dodged a real bullet here the other. SIL and Daughter and I stood out on front deck at about 2:20 am and had to back under the roof when quarter size hail covered the yard and we could hear tat monster moving about 1.5 to 2 miles north of us on it's way to Cookeville. Prayers being sent to all affected!!!

Thanks Greg. For a little while last night I was having my doubts which way that monster was going and it missed us by about 2 miles but we could hear it and got the hail from it and some wind, not as much as I would have expected after seeing all the damage it produced!

I hear a man from the National Weather Service said that the tornado first landed right at the Tennessee River in West Tennessee and according to their calculations the twister was actually on the ground for 200 miles as it traveled to Cookeville in Putnam County. They said they are getting reports of damage on the entire path it took. I stood on my front porch with SIL and Daughter at 2 AM this morning and we could hear it pass within 2 miles of the houses here and had to back away a little to prevent getting hit by quarter size hail as it passed by. No damage here and SIL is down the road in Carthage helping people from his church cut trees off about 20 houses. Prayers to all that have suffered loss and to the families with loss of life.

I have mixed feelings about this. I agree with Constitutional right to bear arms and Constitutional carry is a right. My feelings are also it might not be the best idea to allow a person over age 21 to just go out and buy a gun and carry it without some type of education on gun ownership. Maybe a class like the ones we had to pass to get our permits to at least make sure the person that has never owned a gun knows which end the projectile(bullet) exits when the trigger is pulled!! Then they must provide that to be able to purchase a gun. That is JMHO!

As many of you know my son Ronnie lost his tools in a fire at the shop he was employed at and had to start all over. With the help of many people here he has been able to build back a good assortment of tools and is ready to begin looking for work. Until he can secure a job he is working out of the shop beside his home in Kingston Springs. There has been a few folks here that have used him to fix their vehicles and what he is looking for now is work he can perform at his shop till he can locate new employment. If there is anyone here that might live in the west Nashville area that might need some vehicle repairs he is ready to begin doing repairs again. Believe me Dave, I agree with you 100% when it comes to metro not doing anywhere near enough to curb the gun thefts in Metro considering the 700 plus guns are just in Nashville area according to the news. They know they have a problem and have done nothing to address the issue. They know what areas are targeted the most so place some unmarked cars with officers in those areas and catch these kids checking vehicles doors to see if they are unlocked would be a good start. If you catch them before they can steal a gun good but if you catch them with a gun then put them in jail till Momma can come and bail them out which happens all to often also. If my son was caught doing that he would sit it out in jail till court day. They have made a decision that two of the kids that killed that singer will be tried in adult court. I think all of them involved should be tried in Adult court. They need to quit treating these kids with a slap on the wrist for committing adult crimes. They say that the kids are not really aware of what they are doing is wrong. That is a crock!! They know right from wrong long before they reach teenagers and many of them have been caught several times so they know its wrong but the slap on the wrist doesn't teach them anything except if that is all I'm going to get I will do it again......JMHO

I have been watching that news on channel 5 where they are talking about the Broken Juvenile Justice System and they are taking to parents that have lost children being shot by guns stolen from unlocked unsecured cars and trucks and there was a couple elected officials talking about charging people who leave their guns in unlocked and unsecured vehicles and their guns are used in a crime. I figured sooner or later that issue was going to come up with over 700+ guns taken from unlocked vehicles just this year and most of them by kids. I have no clue why anyone would leave a loaded firearm in an unlocked vehicle to begin with but if it continues I'm sure steps are going to be taken to prosecute anyone who has a gun taken from an unlocked unsecured firearm in their vehicle and may even be charged as part of the crime the gun is used in. My Gun is never left unattended in my vehicle. When I get in my Jeep my gun is on my hip in a holster and when I get out my gun gets out also. I do have a secured lock box in my Jeep for an instance I need to go in someplace I am not allowed to carry it but I avoid those places when at all possible. Can anyone give me a reason why anyone would leave a gun in an unlocked car/truck when they arrive home and go in the house for the night???? I would be interested in hearing some!!!

I want to take a minute to thank each and everyone that contributed to my GFM account and also sent funds not on the GFM account.
