  1. I never said it would last, though I think it shows at the moment he's being supported (if only in spirit) by people's wallets, not chased out of the building as others might want. If he keeps it up and becomes a more vocal proponent for BLM, his jersey may become a fashion item among the trendy.
  2. Near the top left, just under where it says "Overall Top 25" you'll see it under that in smaller print.
  3. Check the dates in your link...says 4/1/2006 - 6/30/2016.
  4. The free market is speaking: The San Francisco 49ers quarterback currently has the fifth-best selling jersey on NFL.com, less than a year after it was put on clearance sale. Ironically, Kapernick doesn't see a direct profit from those sales, the profits are pooled along with every other jersey sale and split between the current maker (I believe it's Nike at the moment), the teams, and the players as a whole.
  5. Can we get one more in the next day or so? Eight teams isn't ideal, but we can make it work with some quirks.
  6. Turns out Kapernick may not have been the biggest O2 thief on the 49ers roster. http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/09/05/bruce-miller-arrested-assault-san-francisco-49ers
  7. And the gun owners community at large isn't exactly short on moron's.
  8. Just by watching the NFL, you're financially supporting the team that hires him (as long as he's playing). Revenue sharing from media agreements nets each team over $220 million, and any time teams play, they split the revenue from the ticket sales. That's before you get into the issues about how the league on whole being competitive keeps every team financially solvent, so just by supporting any team, you're supporting the 49ers, and by extension Kapernick.
  9. We could make it work with eight teams. I'd have to adjust the roster spots to make it work well and be fun. Maybe less bench spots to make things interesting on the waiver wire.
  10. Because they aren't protesting in the same vein as BLM. I'd imagine that's the crux of the outrage for some.
  11. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/97743-ups-store-in-murfreesboro/#comment-1391699 Sort of discussed here. There isn't a law, but they might not know that. Also may be a store policy as they are owned via franchises, not directly through UPS. I'd guess they don't want the liability that may come.
  12. Bump. May have to cancel if there isn't enough interest.
  13. Think about how you're going to be spending the time you'll be carrying. Sitting, standing, moving around a lot...that's going to help you pick the gun, holster, and belt you need.
  14. So do their customers, but that's why they're deemed budget rifles among shooters. I'm the first one to say that if you want to be certain of a quality gun, buy Colt, DD, or BCM...but I won't knock anyone buying a PSA gun, as I have an upper and a lower from them myself. As long as you recognize the limitations on QA/QC against the kinds of specs you mentioned, it's still money well spent for overall value.
  15. I have one, and have seen the issue you mention. Like @1gewehr mentions, ammo load is the big factor in that. This isn't the gun you want to be using the cheapest ammo on the shelf for. I hate having a gun I can't put a WWB through reliably for practice, but I treat the P3At as a specialty weapon for it's awesome ability to conceal without any issues. It fills a niche need, so I treat it as such.
  16. I'd question it's effectiveness as a recruiting tactic. I think it's true purpose is public relations/PSYOPS/IO...whatever you want to call it. The public will care about inflated DoD budgets or contracting programs run amuck if they're conditioned to "support the troops" via attending/watching football games and NASCAR events.
  17. I've used the touchscreen ordering system at Hardee's. It's usually wide open early in the morning when it's mostly seniors in line for coffee and breakfast. Makes things easy on my end time wise, but can still be screwed up by the person reading the order in the back and putting it together. That said, as a nation, we need to decide where we want to draw the money those workers are going to end up getting. As long as someone is below a certain level of income, they'll get for benefits from Uncle Sugar. Do we want to raise the minimum wage, let businesses take the brunt of this to get people above the federal poverty level, or do we want to keep the burden on other tax revenues, such as the income tax, which means it will probably be supported with fresh debt every year. The equivalency is going to come from somewhere, it's just a matter of how we do it.
  18. The truth is in the middle, but closer to what Gaurfa says. If he planned well, and has a good investor, he'll be set for life because he earned at least $3.8 million from 2011-2014, and he has $11.9 coming from this year for being on the roster in April, even if he gets cut tomorrow. So, even with his tax hit, he still has enough to make it work at a very plush lifestyle if he's smart. If he blows it, or didn't get ready for his tax bill (being in San Fran, Cali taxes take a healthy chunk on top of federal), he could struggle. It's on him. His only guarantees come on specified dates, and if he isn't on the team next year (I doubt he is there past this year), the rest of his contract is voided he gets nothing of whats left on it, having to start from scratch on a new contract unless a team picks him up on waivers with the intent of honoring the deal he had with San Fran (none of them will). The 49ers were kind of screwed, as he was still injured when that April deadline that guaranteed his $11.9 mil came, and if they released him before he was medically cleared, they would have been responsible for the money anyway. So, they figured let him try to bounce back in training camp with no additional risk to the team. That hasn't happened. His on field play is astoundingly bad for a guy who had a massive skill set and led a team to the Super Bowl a few years ago. That $19 million number being thrown around is the hit in salary cap calculations San Fran will have to absorb if they cut him, but I think even that's changed a bit. There are some crazy rules involved in how they get to that number. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/colin-kaepernick-7751/
  19. Can't recall reading one negative thing about him. Usually, you spend as long as he did in a place like Hollywood, someone tries to cut you down a little. Hell of an actor and his works will be around well after all of us are gone.
  20. Same line of thought. His protest was form of speech, and he's allowed to do so freely of his own volition. I'm secure enough in that what he did doesn't detract from what the anthem means to me, or why I always stand when it's played.
  21. Paper money fuels corruption, terrorism, tax evasion and illegal immigration—so the U.S. should get rid of the $100 bill and other large notes He's not wrong per say, and since I can't read the full article while he might address it, it's also been brought up that counterfeiting money is less incentivized to large criminal elements if you get rid of the $100. I can't remember the last cash transaction I made using anything larger than a $50 bill, or for more than a hundred total. Everything else is done through bank draft or credit card. As to the implications on gun buying...I think we'll have a requirement for any and all sales/transfers (for anyone other than immediate family) to go through an FFL before currency norms change. So, something like this wouldn't necessarily be the game changer.
  22. Honestly, this time I believe them. I get my insurance on the exchanges, and BCBS-TN has been far lower than the other options for the first two years this has been running, at least at the bronze level (what I have through them). I'd imagine when the 2017 prices come out, BCBS-TN wil be closer to the other companies this time.
  23. Comcast is okay as long as you know what you're getting into. Research the plans, research what you need versus what they'll try to stick you with (equipment, rental fees...I brought my own modem), and unless you pick a plan, be ready to spend 30-45 minutes asking them to tell you what you can get while you keep reminding them of your firm monthly amount. My biggest asset in dealing with Comcast has been patience, but you being a new customer, I think they'll try to do well this first time...just make a note of when the initial agreement is up, and be ready to negotiate a new package, or else you'll see the spike in your bill.
  24. I love my Seidio cases. I have one for my tablet that I've used since '13 in Afghanistan and my phone case is even better. Also have the bike mount for it so I can listen to music when I go riding.
  25. Are you looking to get another Verizon phone, or buy your own? Not sure how the cost/benefit for each course of action works if you're on the family plan, but this is the advice I gave in a other thread... To me, having a phone that isn't tied to a contract is the way to go. I value portability in dealing with the finances of something as vital these days as a phone.
